Not worth the extra money

We purchased these traps as we have a toddler and a newborn in the home. These traps have never trapped a mouse, we have used them alongside Victor Easy Set Mouse Traps and have only ever (and reliably, when used) trapped mice with the Easy Set traps. Not worth the extra money.

Poor construction, ineffective, defective, not resusable

I purchased the 2 pk of this Victor Kill Vault Trap. Caught one mouse which was large and not able to be emptied to reuse. Set the other one and did not catch anymore. Ineffective. I don't think it locked or set correctly to work. Would not purchase again or recommend.
Worked great without poison

Worked well for me once I put the correct bait in it. I put an attractant made by another company (limited selection at my Ace Hardware). This stuff said it was better than peanut butter. 4 nights it sat out with no success. Then I put PB in the trap, and saw that I got a mouse the next morning. The collar is tough to pull off - use a small Philips head screwdriver to pry it.

I bought a 2-pack of white reusables. I've had them both operating for two nights in separate places. Each morning the cheese is gone and the trap raised. It did not engage.

Disappointing product

No results yet. They move the trap out of the way to get where they want to go. Baited with peanut butter. Had more success with my no-kill traps. Will just trash them and move on to something else.
Positives: easy to set. Effective to catch. Negatives: not reusable as dead mouse stuck inside

I bought a 2 pack of these thinking I could dispose the mouse easily and use as the package states, but sadly not the case. I used cheese as the bait and It was excellent and caught 3 mice one with two to my surprise when I opened and had one dead and one very energetic one that jumped out at me. I woke the whole house up lol The only reason I can’t give this a 5 star rating is both mice were trapped but did not empty easily so I threw out instead. Positives: easy to set. Effective to catch. Negatives: not reusable as dead mouse stuck inside
Disposal door does not work well.

The disposal door does not open easily and have had them break in half. The ones I have left I just use once and throw them away with the mouse inside. Would not recommend them.
Good concept, but doesn't work.

Good concept, but most mice won't trigger the mechanism. I have been feeding mice for days now...

Slightly dissapointed with design

Dissapointed with results. I armed the traps outdoors with peanut butter, and set them. 2 hours later, they had dissapeared. Found them in another part of my yard with the bait doors open and no longer functioning. Squirrels had gotten to them and chewed the doors open. Not sure I can fault Victor for this, but am disappointed that the design allowed another rodent to render them useless.

If squirrels are in the same area as the mice you are attempting to catch, we recommend weighing the traps down and placing them in an area that would be difficult for them to access. Horrible

Complete garbage, located in a high activity zone with no other source of food and they either walk past it or they go in and come back out. Been in this spot for over. Week and nothing. Waste of money.
