How to Use
Set-up for the Victor® Quick-Kill® Mouse Trap is quick and easy. Simply fill the covered bait trough with bait, pull back the kill bar until it clicks into position, and place it against walls or any other locations that mice likely travel. This trap is convenient for indoor and outdoor use.
How it Works

If I could give a 0, I would. I bought the live trap and they didn’t work at all. This trap closed on the mouse and in the morning the poor thing was still alive! This is very disturbing to me. Horrible product, a waste of money. I will be looking for a different brand of live trap!

Bought 3 boxes because the last time we had an issue they were amazing, but when a mouse can eat all the peanut butter and it not snap Thats an issue! They suck make this right Victor

For best results, only a small amount of bait should be used and placed on the bait pedal so it doesn’t interfere with the trigger mechanism. Pressing the bait firmly into the pedal can also help ensure proper activation. If the traps still aren’t functioning as intended, please contact us and we’ll be happy to assist further.
Does not give quick, humane kill due to design flaw

This product does NOT give a quick, human kill. The issue is with the side bars, which can trap the mouse but not quickly kill it. I believe what is happening is that the mouse can access the bait compartment, and set off the trap, from the side. (long edge of the trap). When this happens, the bar comes down, but it is the side bars (the two parallel metal bars) which come down on the mouse (not the red kill bar). Because there is a decent amount of space between the side bars and the mouse trap platform (even when the bar is down), what happens is that the mouse is trapped, but not killed. This has happened to me numerous times. On these occasions, the mouse was trapped and hurt, but still living. To end its suffering, I had to kill it myself. I am just noticing that this design flaw has been mentioned numerous times by other people (if I would have seen these reviews earlier, I wouldn't have purchased the product). In these reviews, Victor claims that the orientation/placement of the trap needs to be correct. However, I followed their instructions perfectly, and this still occurred. Just to double check, I changed the orientation of the trap (e.g. always up against the wall, but sometimes parallel, sometimes with the bait facing the wall, sometimes the other way), and this issue of the mouse getting trapped in the side bar still occurs. The only reason I am giving this two stars instead of one is because that, if the mouse goes into the bait trap head on, the trap sometimes works. But for a significant amount of time, the mouse gets trapped and doesn't die humanely. I appreciate that Victor strives to create humane traps (kill and no-kill); I thank them for this. However, the above seems to suggest a design flaw, and it would be very much appreciated if the engineering team can either modify the design or take the product off the market. Thank you.

Hi! My husband left the review about the trap getting chewed through because it was set up right?
We bought a 4 pack and had 2 set up, the one got chewed through and mouse got away. So how is that quick kill? The other did die… but after he bled all over my kitchen floor because the trap got him but he STILL GOT OUT AFTERWARDS.
It doesn’t matter about set-up with these they’re a waste of the money. Get the old fashioned wood and metal ones, it might not be quick but the mouse doesn’t get away and back into your house.

To help improve performance, it’s important that the trap is placed flush against a wall with the entry opening aligned to the mouse’s path, and that it’s set on a flat surface so the mechanism can fully engage. Avoid placing it where pets, debris, or uneven flooring could interfere with the trap closing completely.

Lives up to its name.

Lives up to its name. First I tried traditional snap traps. When they did catch something, all it did was trap an arm, I had to kill the mouse myself. I have one that is still set and all the bait is gone. With these traps, every strike has been a kill. The covered bait cup only has one entry point so they have to go at it from the front. I just have to lift the arm and drop the mouse in the trash.
The only catch was that one dead mouse's mouth was still hooked on the bait cup, and I had wiggle the trap a few times to get it to drop off.

I have mice! I had several different kinds of traps set! I never caught any in this type of trap! Waste of money!

For best results, place the trap perpendicular to walls with the trigger end against the wall, use a small amount of bait pressed firmly into the bait cup, and keep other food sources limited so mice are drawn to the trap. Allow a little time for mice to investigate new traps in the area.

Have yet to see this trap kill a mouse. Will get set off and pin them but they are perfectly fine once you open the trap.
