For your convenience, the Power-Kill® is extremely easy to use. We’re sorry to hear about your experience with the Victor® Power-Kill™ Mouse Trap. This trap is designed for mice, so rats may be too large for the trap to activate properly. For mice, place a small amount of bait in the bait cup and position the trap perpendicular to the wall with the bait end closest to the wall. Using only a small amount of bait can also encourage the mouse to interact directly with the trigger area.
Not really reusable, breaks easily.

This trap is great the first few times then it won’t stay set and you have to throw it away. It is easier to set than the wood ones but doesn’t have the life span. Going back to wood ones.

The trap is designed to withstand repeated use, so it should continue to stay set through normal operation. If yours no longer stays set after only a few uses, that is not the performance we expect.

These traps are awesome mouse killers. I have been very impressed with them, I did have a latch on one break after numerous catches but I don’t consider that to bad none of the others have. I bought a whole case of them great traps you can’t beat Victor.

Trap works well. However, I did have to guide the mouse. For 2 nights it ate the peanut butter without setting off the trap! Next day I decided to cut three 1.5 x 1.5 pcs of paper to cover the 2 sides and back to guide the mouse onto the platform. The papers were taped to bottom and each other. They didn’t impede the kill bar. Next morning we did catch him!!

These traps are great. I bait mine with a whole peanut, not peanut butter. I use a Hot Glue Gun to hold the peanut in the cup and have had up to 5 kills on the same peanut before having to replace it. FYI: In reference to customer’s “Product Questions” about “The mice eat all the peanut butter” I also had that issue but it turned out to be slugs and spider crickets eating the bait, not mice.

I have purchased thes several times, but they came with a yellow disk that is suppose to draw like bait! I put peanut butter on the disk! The mice eat it and the trap is not triggered, over and over!Brand new right out of the box, 2 for$7.00 and what a waste!

Thank you for sharing your experience with the Victor® Power-Kill™ Mouse Trap. We’re sorry to hear it didn’t perform as expected. For best results, only a very small amount of bait should be applied to the center of the yellow bait cup, as too much bait can allow mice to feed without triggering the trap. Making sure the pedal moves freely and placing the trap perpendicular to the wall along active runways can also improve activation.

The cadillac of mouse traps! This trap is made well, very sturdy and can be reused if needed. The snap is POWERFUL! In the fall, as soon as I see activity of mice trying to get inside, I strategically place these traps to prevent an infestation. Works perfect!

I’ve tested over 100+ mousetraps and have been fond of this one. It is ideal for ease of use and killing power. Now I will say if your looking for the most powerful snap trap I would go with the classic wooden snap trap victor makes. Overall I recommend this product to anyone looking to catch some mice.

The trap is easily set, and when it works it does very well. However, about half the time I find the bait (peanut butter) gone from the trap without it being tripped. I suppose with enough times setting it I'll eventually get the mouse it missed, but I expected this to work pretty much all the time.

Although I have your Victor Grey rat trap. I’ve used it once and cannot reset the trap? Is there any special thing that happens to this trap? It will not reset. I used it once thank you.

The Victor® Power-Kill™ Mouse Trap is reusable and should reset after use. To reset it, make sure the trap is empty and clear of debris, then firmly pull the kill bar back until it clicks into place. If the bar will not latch, check for buildup around the trigger or damage from the previous catch, as that can prevent it from resetting.

I put 6 of these down on Friday at work and the mouse ate all the peanut butter out of all of them. So I feed mice this weekend. What can I do to fix this?

The mouse is only getting caught by its feet and can get out. How do I fix this?

Thank you for contacting us. Regarding your question, the catch will depend on how the mouse approaches the trap. When the trap activates, the mouse may have tried to escape, which is why it was only caught by its feet.
