Review RateNot worth the money
Its a neat concept but after 2 weeks, I haven't caught a single mouse. I've seen mice run right by the trap. I could place bait on the steps but after the first mouse eats that bait, I would have to rebait the trap. The whole purpose for this trap is to not have to rebait the trap continuously and not having to touch the dead mice. I guess the second part is true because it doesn't catch anything.Response From Victor®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
Thank you for providing this feedback! We are sorry to hear the desired results were not seen. Mice will sometimes be hesitant to explore a new item in their environment. We recommend placing the trap lengthwise along the wall where rodents normally travel. Keeping the area free of any other bait/nesting material will also help force the rodents to the trap.

Review RateTotally dissatisfied. Wish I had my money back.
I figured any trap made and sold by Victor HAD to be the best you could buy, but I'm really sorry I wasted my money on buying three of these. I got them about five years ago and have properly baited and set them in various places and different countries and have NEVER caught/killed a mouse with even one of them. I'm considering getting some plain, old "snap traps" because I know they'll work...I was looking at the "Tri-Kill" traps because I used to use some six-sided wooden ones with a sort of "reverse action" kill-bar that sprang up from a groove in each entry point when a mouse would trip that individual trigger as it attempted to reach a single bait, located in the center of the device. This was over 60 years ago and I wish I could still find the same traps to buy.....they were great! I can't NOT recommend the electronic traps here strongly enough to anybody considering them......I'm absolutely convinced THEY DON'T WORK!Response From Victor®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateGood Product
FAB FAB FAB, works well even outside as long as covered, not sure how long they last but i buy new ones each spring, great product when one lives in among desert rats that like to eat wires in ones auto, CDR
Review Ratehighly effective and easy disposal
This is the only mouse trap that I use. Works 100 percent of the time. I highly recommend it!!
Review RateExcellent product.
Excellent product that does what it claims. We have ordered numerous units to use at our plant, which is out in the country. We have monthly pest control, but their poisons left mice going into the walls and dying there. Not pleasant to stand for a week or so. Sticky papers are horribly cruel. This is the most humane instrument to control rodents that I have seen and I personally appreciate that. I ordered a unit for my residence even though we do not have a rodent problem.
Victor. I am very disappointed with your multi-kill mouse traps. Lots of talk and hype but the product just does not work as advertised? I bought three of these mouse traps and only caught one mouse after three months? Very disappointed.........Response From Victor®Patty : Consumer Relations Representative

Review Ratenot sure how effective this product is
had this device for over a week and no luck. the apartment is crawling with mice. i do not know why this hasn't worked.Response From Victor®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
We apologize for this experience. For the best results, we recommend placing this trap against the wall in an area where rodent activity has been seen. Also, wearing gloves when baiting and handling the trap ensures human scent is not transferred to the trap.

Review RateNot good
Mice are eating peanut butter off the steps but not going for it inside. Haven't caught one . I have placed it in several locations and in every location there's is mice feces but no catches. Disappointed, especially for the money that it costs.Response From Victor®Patty : Consumer Relations Representative
We are sorry to hear about this experience and would like the opportunity to help.
If the mice have become accustomed to eating the bait off the steps, reducing the amount there (perhaps just a tiny smear at the top) may better draw them inside. Feel free to contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-5-VICTOR (1-855-584-2867) for further assistance.
Victor® Multi-Kill™ Electronic Mouse Trap - Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I bait the Multi-Kill™? / What should I use to bait it?
A: To bait the Multi-Kill™ Mouse Trap, first make sure the trap is turned off. Open the kill chamber door located on top of the mouse trap. We’ve carefully researched and recommend baiting with anything high in protein like peanut butter or hazelnut spread. Place a small amount of bait (the size of a pea) against the back wall of the kill chamber. Be sure to use gloves or a tool to bait so your scent is not transferred onto the trap. Please don’t place the bait or any other material directly on the metal plates as this will falsely trip the system.
Q: How do I clean the trap?
A: Through repeat use and baiting, dust and debris can settle on the metal plates inside the trap, so we recommend that you clean your trap between each use. To clean the trap:
- Turn the unit to the off position and remove the batteries
- Use a hydrogen peroxide topical solution (available at most drug stores) and an old toothbrush to clean the inside of the chamber. Use a wire brush as needed to remove any corrosion, being careful not to be too vigorous. This could accidentally remove all of the protective zinc plating
- Allow the Multi-Kill Electronic Mouse Trap to air dry completely
- Replace the batteries and turn the unit back on
Q: Can it be used outdoors?
A: The Multi-Kill™ is recommended for indoor use only. This trap was designed and manufactured to be used indoors and not exposed to the elements. If this trap is used outside, the unit could potentially short out due to weather conditions, such as rain.
Q: How long does the battery last?
A: The batteries in the Multi-Kill™ mouse trap will provide approximately one year of stand-by power. The trap includes 4 "C" batteries.
Q: What may affect the effectiveness of an electronic trap?
A: To ensure that your trap works when it is supposed to, keep the metal plates clean so the trap won’t trigger at the wrong time.
- Don’t over-bait, as excess food could drop onto the plates and activate the trap, after which any rodent may safely enter to remove the food.
- Make sure that the plates are clear of any debris, especially urine or hair from a recent kill that may interfere with the unit’s proper function. Remember, both plates need to be clean so that the electric circuit is made complete by the rodent stepping on both.
Q:What does it mean when the light blinks green? Red?
A: When you turn on the trap, the green light will stay on for 2 seconds to confirm the trap is on. Then the light is supposed to go off. The green light will also blink to indicate a successful kill; however, in order to conserve battery, it only flashes about every 7 seconds. A blinking red light indicates that the batteries are running low and will need to be replaced.
