Plus, with this trap, there’s no need for poisons or chemicals, allowing it to be used anywhere inside your home or business. No Escapes – Beveled Columns Keep Mouse in Place To enter the Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap, mice pass through a uniquely designed tunnel with beveled columns. These columns direct the mouse further into the tunnel and make it difficult to back out. The columns also help to keep the mouse in place over the trigger plate to prevent escapes, ensuring a 100% kill rate.LED Light Alerts With the Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap, simplifying your pest control routine is a breeze. When a catch is made, the trap’s built in LED light will blink green. You’ll know when it’s time to empty your trap without having to check manually. Plus, the convenient LED light function will not only notify you of a catch, but it will also alert you when the trap’s battery is running low by flashing red.Removable Kill Chamber Ensures Easy Cleaning The sleek industrial design boasts a removable kill chamber with lid, providing access to the trigger plates so you can easily clean it in between uses. Once a catch is made, power off the trap, remove the kill chamber and open the lid. The trap’s built-in safety switch automatically deactivates the trap when opened. Then simply dispose of the dead rodent in the trash without ever having to touch it.Convenient Bait Cup for Effortless Bait Application With a built-in bait cup, you know your trap is properly baited. Access the cup by opening the kill chamber lid. The cup is marked on the floor of the trap furthest from the rodent entrance. To get started, use a toothpick or cotton swab to apply a high protein bait such as peanut butter or hazelnut spread in the cup. Place your trap where rodents are known to travel and turn it on!Victor Electronic Mouse Trap Product Details Do you want to know more helpful details about the Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap? Review RateEven better
Upgrading my review to 5 stars. Although it was killing mice, the batteries were apparently getting a little low, as the most recent catch was able to eat the peanut butter but was killed. It seems that rechargeable NiMH batteries don’t hold a charge as well as standard alkaline batteries, which I’ll be using from now on.
Review RateThey built a better mousetrap!
Very effective! Traps and humanely kills mice, no mess. New design which can be disassembled and cleaned and is easier to bait is much better than the previous design which did not have those features. I didn’t realize that it should be cleaned with hydrogen peroxide after each catch, so now I will start doing that. However, green light does not blink when mouse is trapped - red light flashes, but so slowly that so you have to look at it for some seconds. So I usually just pick it up and open it to check inside every day. Killed half a dozen mice in my back door (indoor) stairway the first week. No poison, so I dump the dead mice (looks like they’re sleeping) over the fence for local wildlife to eat.
Review RateCaught 4 and one escaped but great overall
Awesome I caught 4 mice the first night! Then we bought another one for the garage which gave a false alarm - since I think the mice escaped cause there was a dropping. Perhaps it’d be nice if the entrance would close once the mice was inside.
Review RateVictor electronic mouse trap - effective and well built
We bought Victor electronic mouse trap last year to cope with a serious mice infestation. Before considering electronic means of "defense", we were looking into buying a pussy cat "mouser". Since our daughter is allergic to cat hair, we had no other choice so we bought the Victor. Best decision ever. One long story short, we decided to use peanut butter for bait. The Victor works like a charm. Last fall season, we exterminated 10 mice in 14 days. Once the trap is sprung, you put on gloves and just open the trap door, tilting the culprit into a plastic sealed bag. This is one trap that works. I only recommend stuff that works and this product is effective.
Review RateHighly recommend these traps!
These traps are incredibly easy to use and are probably the most humane way to rid one's home of mice. I set mine up in the garage with some peanut butter as bait and am catching a mouse every second day. After sealing all visible holes with concrete and using copious amounts of peppermint oil in the drop ceiling and on cotton balls around the basement and garage, we still had mice getting in through the eve's of the garage into the walls of the house. Stopping them at the source seems to be the answer and I love how easy these traps are to use...especially the fact that we no longer have mice getting caught but not killed, which was a constant problem with the standard snap traps. If you follow the instructions you will not be disappointed with these traps. They are worth every penny!
Review RateWorks like a charm, easy peasy!!
Awesome and amazing. Had signs of mice hanging out underneath our BBQ cover on the right side leaf of the BBQ. Put the trap right beside the cast iron of the BBQ. In a span of 6 weeks, caught and humanely killed 12 mice. Only regret was I left the trap active and baited beside the BBQ when I decided to BBQ late one night and forgot the trap was there. Melted the side of the trap, but low and behold, it still worked. Buying another one to increase the progress of pest removal.
Review RateA good trap but could be better
I've been using these in my garage and shed for many years. They work great and kill a lot of mice. I have found they only last about one season, though, and I think they should last longer. I've also had the kill compartment door break on most every one I've had. Rather than peanut butter which is messy, I use sunflower seeds from by bird feeder. It works well.
Review RateExcellent Results
Working very well for us we have 2 electronic traps now. I read in some amazon reviews that some bigger mice escape so I tape the door closed and have had excellent results.
Review Rateit works for small rodents
It works ,but entrance kind of small. Most likely only mouse thumb size will get in. Used 4 aa batteries , after the third mice red light came on. Guess batteries are dead already.
Review RateDidn’t work after all
False alarm!! Went to empty my first catch as the notification told me I had finally caught the mouse! But nothing inside!:-( I just threw my waste of money away. Why, after three months would it said I had a kill??Response From Victor®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
We are very sorry for this experience! The metal plates on this electronic trap are very sensitive. If an insect stepped on the plates or if any dust of bait is touching the metal plates, it could cause a false trigger.
