For your convenience, the spike is built with a low-profile design that can be mowed over when properly installed. Plus, it’s safe to use around pets when used as directed. Seems to be working. By Slim
I just installed my device yesterday, so I have not noticed a difference, yet. However, I am wondering what other creatures might hear the signal, i.e. birds, squirrels, etc.

Goodbye to gophers ! By Garden-lover
This is a good product. I have 2 that are on their 3rd season; they over-winter well in the garage and restart working as soon as the sun hits them. I just bought 3 more. They have kept the gophers away from my veg garden where I don't use poison bait. My peonies and strawberry patches are coming back after the gophers got them BEFORE I had the Victor Solar-powered sonic spike. It is best to put the spikes out early in the season before the gophers get established. Thank you for a great invention. They are expensive but if they last at least 3 years, it's not so expensive, and hopefully they'll last even longer.

Stopped working after 2 weeks By Jen T

Seemed to operate at first and then after 2 weeks, one of the two we purchased stopped vibrating. It was in an area we have gated off so nothing external would have damaged it. Taking them both back for a refund.

Product does not work By Disappointed

This is another product I used to get rid of the moles. Didn't work. I have 5 in my yard and my yard has gotten WORST!! Wasted my money on I.

Response From Victor®
Kathryn : Consumer Relations Representative

It can take 6-10 days for moles and gophers to learn that the noise and vibrations are not going away, and during that time, they may even get close to the spike to investigate! We are glad to hear that you were eventually able to get rid of your yard invaders. Please reach out to us at 855-584-2867 if you have any questions, we're happy to help!

Not too sure it’s working By T

We had 2 of your competitor solar spikes and they worked wonderfully. I accidentally stepped on the one in our backyard and it quit working. I purchased your model, the Solar Sonic Spike Repeller. I have a question, is it supposed to make a noise? The competitors solar spike would beep every 30 seconds. That way I knew it was working. I really can’t give a great review because I’m not sure it’s even working .

Response From Victor®
Lauren : Consumer Relations Representative

Thank you for this feedback. When turned on, these spikes will emit a sound every 30 seconds. If the spikes have been inserted into the soil, the sound will not be as audible above ground. Please feel free to reach out to us at 1-855-5-VICTOR (1-855-584-2867) with any questions.

Convenient design which is completely ineffective By Longwind

Can't tell any difference. Mole comes and goes as he pleases unless the ground is soaked with castor oil. The spike has been buzzing every 30 seconds for a month, which annoys me, but today's grass damage was within 12-14 feet of the spike. Also, I'm not sure what an "unobstructed" 95 feet range is supposed to mean but there was additional sideyard damage in a straight line from the unit at 45 feet away, unless you count pine tree plus root system as being obstructing.

Response From Victor®
Jules : Consumer Relations Representative

Hi there! We are sorry to hear about those pesky moles! We have passed your feedback on to our Product Manager for review. Pine tree root systems would be an obstruction, and additional spikes may be needed to protect beyond this tree or trees. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience.

Buy This Product. It Is Worth It. By noreimerreason

Last spring and summer my yard was filled with about 8 to 12 mole hills at any one time. I started using 2 Solar Sonic Spikes since about March, I have not had one mole hill to this day!! I love this product, and highly recommend the Solar Sonic Spike to any one with a mole problem! It is worth the money!

Q&A
Q.I installed the Mole and Gopher Sonic Spike (Solar Powered) as directed. I has an annoying loud intermittent but continuous beeping sound. Does the sound eventually go away?
A.

If the unit stops making sound, it should be replaced.

Q.Is there a way to turn the sound off. It is so loud.
A.

The sound for this repellent cannot be turned off without turning off the unit itself.

Q.I am putting the spike in a plant bed so do I have to bury the spike up to the solar panel since I will not be walking or mowing in that area? What is the most effective depth.
A.

This product should be burried up to the base of the solar panel.

learn about mole and mole trap

Moles

Moles are helpful in that they remove damaging insects and grubs from lawns and gardens. Unfortunately, however, their burrowing habits can destroy grass, gardens and flower beds and tear up tree roots.

Gophers excavate soil from their tunnels, creating large, horseshoe-shaped mounds.  Gopher mounds are typically larger than Mole hills with the entrance hole at an angle to the ground surface.
