Great investment By Tucson gal

I have 24 Victor battery rat traps, various models, bought over 5 years. Most have been used to destruction, but I use the ones that don't work any more to get them accustomed to going in traps. Sometimes they're off, sometimes they're not! The newest models have vast design improvements. I especially like the top that comes off for cleaning and the elimination of the rocker switch. I use them in the engine compartments of my cars to dispatch critters before they can do $1000 worth of damage. The traps work well, and money well spent.

Works easy and good results By Dee

With a little peanut butter I am able to rid my house of rats. Once the rats go inside they are killed. I do not have to worry about a messy cleanup. Light on box let's me know one is killed and I simply discard rat in garbage can . I place more peanut butter in slot opening if needed.

It will eventually do its job! By Henare

Was quite apprehensive at first. But I eventually caught a couple of large rodents. After trial and error, the best way to catch a rodent is to leave bait in the container with the power switched off for a couple of days. In this way the rodent will get used to seeing the contraption. I left it powered off for three days; After the 3rd day I inserted the bait with the power still turned off. After noticing the bait had been taken, I then refilled the bait container and finally switched the power on. And Voila!..It finally did its job!

Unhappy Customer By Melody

I would rate a zero if I could. The older model works great, this one sucks!!! We still have a few of the older ones, and they are the only ones that work. What a waste of money. Please go back to the older model.

Yes it really works! By Jean Bean

Yes - these really work. We live on the edge of Silver City, NM and have a lot of problems with Pack Rats. They chew vehicle wires, and get into the air vents and they make Cholla Cactus Nests on top of our 1972 Dodge engine. The Victor trap is a quick fast way to get them. Then we throw them over the fence into the wilds, and the next day they are GONE - some Coyote or Owl dinner. No poison used. Much better than all the other ways of dealing with this critter.

Love your traps they work over and over By Mrs Owlpaca

I love this style of trap, I have caught rats and mice the first day set both indoor and outside. When I use it outside I cover it with a wire basket so that I don’t hurt other animals like my chickens... I use them in my coup. This trap works over and over. Recently I have a smart rat who is opening the bait door and cleaning out the peanut butter bait without going into the trap so I will try some tape on the back... this has happened two nights in a row... dang rat!!!!

A great bonus use! By TK

Used this trap to easily get rats. But here is a surprise use. I used a Victor electronic rat trap with dry dog pellets to easily catch and kill a baby possum in my house. You are able to safely (without touching them) dump them out in the trash and you are done. Possums are the worst to get rid of and they cause way more damage then rats or mice. Now Victor need to build a larger one to be used in the attic to kill the adult possums.

VICTOR has long been the only way to keep our property free of the pesky 13 Lined Ground Squirrel. Our entire neighborhood thanks us!

Q.Which traps do you recommend for the occasional palm tree rats that get into the attic? They are on the small side, compared with say, NYC rats. Im afraid the traps that take D batteries may be overkill and frighten potential "inductees" away. I see the price is same for traps that use C batteries and traps that use D batteries.

If you're worried about providing too much of a shock to the occasional palm rat, we recommend using the Victor® Electronic Rat Trap (M241). It provides a 6,000v shock to the rat as opposed to the Rat Zapper® Rat Traps, which provide between 7,000v-9,000v.

Q.The trap has worked very well, I think I have killed at least 6-8 rats. They have gotten smart though and now just open the bait trap at the back. It looks like they have even chewed through the latch part that keeps it locked closed. I now have to duct tape the door closed. Have you run into this before? thanks

Please contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-5-VICTOR (1-855-584-2867) for assistance.

Q.What is warranty for these traps?

This trap is backed by a 30 day return policy and covered under a one year replacement policy.
