Victor® Electronic Rat Trap
Victor® Electronic Rat Trap
Model
CM241B
Set Descending Direction
I bought your trap and four days in a row dispatched 4 very large rats. However after that, additional rats, seen by me, will not enter the trap no matter what bate I use. I even washed the lower section to remove any scent, and then even placed some bate right at the entrance but the bate remains absolutely undisturbed. What to do?
Question by: Jaye on Nov 5, 2024, 8:16 PM
You can try putting it in a different area. Alternatively, try putting the bait in the normal spot inside the trap for a few days without turning it on to get the rats using to that spot as a food source. Once you notice the trap is being eaten, then you can bait it again and turn it on.

In the past I used an earlier model of your rat catcher with great success. The new model does not seem to be working at all. No matter the lure, new batteries, or different placement the rat seems to be able to go right into the trap with no adverse effect. In fact I seem to be feeding it. After I turn it on the green light flashes a few times and then goes out. I don’t hear any buzzing noise as I did with the earlier unit. Any suggestions on how to make the unit actually perform

When I first bought the trap and turned it on the green light would come on for a few seconds. Now when I turn it on the green light blinks three times and then turns off. What does that mean?

Also, there is no buzzing sound after about a minute when I turn it on.

I think I have at least one rat in my ceiling. I have set rat traps and catch mice, which I find partially eaten the next day. I also find a rat trap which is spring with nothing in it. Will this electronic rat trap kill a rat which enters the trap after there is a dead mouse in the trap? In other words, will the trap kill multiple rodents in one night?
Question by: Gerry on Dec 23, 2024, 10:15 AM
Hi thank you for your question, What we recommend after a catch is that you have to clean the inside of the trap to avoid any electrical issues.
Answer by: Victor (Admin) on Dec 23, 2024, 10:56 AM
This new trap design is not effective. I’ve used the old design for YEARS with GREAT SUCCESS but this new trap just has the bait stolen with no kills. It’s also very lightweight and larger rodents drag it around.
There’s also no buzzing sound after I turn the power on, I don’t know if it’s actually on or not. It seems that the smaller batteries and he’s design aren’t powerful enough to get the job done.
Question by: Eirie on Dec 28, 2024, 10:22 AM
Hi, Thank you so much for your question!
Based on the information that we have, you have to apply just a pea size of bait inside of the trap, which will prevent the rodents from stealing the bait also, When you turn on the trap it will just flash once and then go off, there should not be any buzzing sound. If you have any questions or other issues please call us at 1-855-584-2867.

how to clean a Model # M241B victor electric rat trap
Question by: Kevin on Jan 26, 2025, 12:31 PM
Hi Kevin, here you have how to clean your trap:

*- Always turn the trap off and remove the batteries first.
*- Use a hydrogen peroxide topical solution (available at most drug stores - nothing above 3% in
solution (typical drug-store variant) and an old toothbrush to clean the inside of the chamber.
*- Use a wire brush as needed to remove any corrosion, being careful not to be too vigorous. This
could accidentally remove all of the protective zinc plating.

How do you clean the inside of this trap?
Question by: Ram on Mar 14, 2025, 4:37 PM
To clean it, first turn off the switch. Use warm water, a soft-bristle brush, and a hydrogen peroxide solution for cleaning. Allow both the interior and exterior to air dry completely before use.
