I’m not sure why these only have a 3-star rating from other customers. They are so easy to set and also to release, rebait and reuse. I found a tunnel opening outside of one of my garden beds and have caught three mice in 24 hours, it seems to be a very quick and humane death. Unlike other traps, I can bait this one without fear of it quickly snapping shut on my fingers. I think this is a very good product design.

This trap does not work the mouse ate the bologna & was not trapped
the only trap worth buying

This is the only trap worth buying. None better, and the price is right. Sure kill every time. No tail-, leg-, or arm-catches. Mouse has to lift the bait hood with his nose in order to get to the bait, and lifting the hood triggers the trap. Easy to set and easy, no-touch disposal of dead mouse. The bait is conserved because the trap snaps before mouse can eat any bait. I have tried lots and lots of mousetraps and this is by far the best, the easiest, and most reliable.
Best ever once I got the idea (which seems simple then)

Best ever. I find if I fill from the bottom and don't overfill across the inside they are great. The first time I went crazy and put more on the top inside - they got that without triggering. Now I put just enough in through the bottom as directed and I'm getting more mice and not losing peanut butter.
I'm ordering more.

I definitely like how easy it is to set these traps and that I can put them on the floor and my dog isn't going to get his nose or paw snapped in it but I caught him one last night and it didn't kill the mouse so it's on the counter squirming around with its head caught in the trap and I'm kind of freaking out
Very impressed until I wasn't

I was very happy (5-star happy) with these until I wasn't. Caught the first mouse within an hour of setting a trap and it was definitely dead. Then, a few mice in, I experienced a caught-yet-very-alive catch. Wrote it off. It's a few days later and I can't say if it was a one off, because the reset traps—I have four—are no longer going off when the mice go for the bait. Empty traps, full mice. Unhappy me.

I don't know why people are having trouble with these traps. I think these are amazing! Every single mouse I catch has its mouth wrapped around the trigger. No stolen bait ever, just a lot of dead mice super easy to set and super easy to release release. The best mouse trap I've ever used.

If a small amount of peanut butter is put inside tube there is no way to steal it out without triggering the trap. They always stole food out of the old wood and string design. The only problem with this one that it is not strong enough to kill larger rats and they can drag the trap away. I have a fenced in yard so I can find them since they can’t climb over the fence with the trap. I recommend this trap.

I have been using this in my shed as a way to eliminate the possibility of catching non-rodents and this product has been working well. It has entirely eliminated accidental trips and non-kill catches.
Worst mousetrap out there.

Worst mousetrap out there. Mice eat the bait, get fat and laugh at me for buying these things. Save your money...

We're sorry to hear you're having trouble with this trap, but appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Try baiting the trap with only a small amount of peanut butter, so the bait doesn't prevent the trap from triggering properly. Please give us a call at 855-584-2867 with any questions! -Kathryn
