Description
Victor® Easy Set® Mouse Trap – A New Twist on A Classic Design Simplify your rodent control routine with the Victor® Easy Set® Mouse Trap. Using the original wooden snap trap design with an improved larger trip pedal to ensure higher catch rates, this trap will help you to effectively eliminate rodents around your household or business. Two settings, Firm and Sensitive, allow you to control the sensitivity of the trap. For the best accuracy and outcome, we recommend setting the trap somewhere between these two settings. In addition, these traps require no chemicals or poisons.
Easy Set Mouse Trap

Quick and Effective
Expanded Trigger Plate The Easy Set® Mouse Trap enhances the classic snap trap design by adding a large plastic trigger plate to ensure higher catch rates. The expanded size means it can be easily activated both by rodent interest in food and through accidental contact as mice scamper across the floor.
Easy 4 Step Setup For your convenience, the Victor® Easy Set® Mouse Trap is very easy to use. Get your trap setup by following these four simple steps:
  • Release the Arm Bar - Remove the staple and move it so the arm hangs over the back of the trap.
  • Bait the Trap - While the trap is pre-baited with a scent, apply bait on the plastic pedal for best results. Use a high-protein bait such as peanut butter or hazelnut spread.
  • Hold Securely - Pull back the kill bar and hold it securely with your thumb.
  • Set the Trap - Place the arm bar over the kill bar and secure it under the plastic pedal. Take note of the Firm and Sensitive setting. The trap will be easier to set on the firm side, but not trip as easy. The trap will be more difficult to set on the sensitive side, but trip very easily.
easy 4 step setup

Location
Location, Location, Location Set the baited trap in areas where you have noticed high levels of rodent activity. Rodents tend to travel along walls, so placement in this location often works best. For maximum effectiveness, use multiple traps, placed at 2 to 3 foot intervals to increase results. Place the trap with the baited end flush against the wall.
Quick and Effective Once a rodent triggers the pedal, the Easy Set® Mouse Trap immediately springs closed to eliminate the pest on contact. After a catch, simply lift the kill bar to dispose of the mouse and reuse the trap or, dispose of the entire trap for quick, clean removal. It’s your decision!
quick and effective

Five Stars "BEST TRAP ON THE MARKET! I purchased the easy set traps because of the tension adjustment (either hard or soft) I have tried other traps and even using a side-by-side comparison, the Victor traps captured the rodent every time. Victor is the only trap I'll buy from now on. It works, it's durable and easy to set!" Read More Reviews »

Mouse Trap Instructions
  1. Release the arm bar from the staple.
  2. Move the arm bar to the back of the trap so it hangs over the back of the trap.
  3. Apply a small amount of high-protein bait, such as peanut butter, hazelnut spread or bacon to the yellow plastic pedal on the trap as shown. Use a Q-tip, toothpick or another tool to bait to avoid transferring your scent to the trap.
  4. Pull the kill bar back and hold it in place with your thumb.
  5. Place the arm bar over the kill bar and secure it under the plastic pedal. Take note of the Firm and Sensitive setting. The trap will be easier to set on the firm side, but not trip as easy. The trap will be more difficult to set on the sensitive side, but trip very easily.
  6. Place the trap where you have seen signs of rodent activity or along the wall where rodents primarily travel. The end of the trap where the metal pedal is baited should be placed flush against the wall.
  7. After the mouse is caught, properly dispose of the dead rodent. The trap can either be discarded or reused.

works great. A little inginuity is required sometimes. By PhilH
The best trap ever. With peanut butter, or occasionally a bit of smelly cheese, it does its job!!
As for all the concern about being impossible to set, I find once in a while a trap that is difficult to set. Turning the trap on it's side, or even upside down, then turning it right side up when set, make setting it much easier. Putting it in place requires a steady hand. Bending the trigger wire hold loop a touch forward will make the trap less sensitive. Just be careful that it does not take too much pressure to spring.
Regarding missing bait, I have found bugs, like roaches, can steal the bait. Use an insecticide around the traps to minimize the problem. But, don't spray the trap!! The mice will stay away from the bait.
If you are concerned about fingers being snapped, always hold the trap by the edges on the "open snap" end, the end away from the bait bar. That way, if the trap snaps, the bar will close going away from your fingers.
I have found these traps work much better than the metal bar traps. The take too much pressure to be reliable.
Here's to a mouse free house!!

Love and Hate By J410

Love the traps and hate the traps, I have been around these things for years growing up and have had my fingers snapped several times when I was younger, I have learned that these highly effective traps work great with peanut butter for bait and I bait them center of the yellow cheese square, latch them very carefully and place them on a sheet of paper or very thin cardboard to slide and position them in place. Be careful with putting them in place! they are SENSITIVE!! To remove just toss a pencil or pen or the like on the trigger to deactivate, please dont try to just pick it up and unlatch an unsnapped trap by hand! Also always remember where you placed your traps, stepping on one at night fumbling around barefoot a few times with a slap on the toe will be shocking for a few minutes and ruien a nights sleep, fingers cought up trying to set them in a hurry and not being careful you will soon hate and curse them, but if you take your time and be careful and set your traps wisely you will kill mice quickly efficiently and fall in love with the best little mouse killer in the world!!

Agonizing By baruch spinoza
Impossible to set up. Like everyone else said, the metal bar is way too short and it constantly snaps while I'm holding it. It's a disgrace the customer service rep is posting that one useless video like we don't already know how to set the thing up, we know HOW to, your product is just so terrible that it's impossible to get it to work.

Good product. By Gil
These traps do what they were made to do. Catch mice! You put them where the mice run. Great trap.

Don't Buy By GDub

Worst trap I ever bought. Doesn't work at all. The sensitive side continuously snaps and the other side allows the mouse to take all the bait without even triggering the trap. A complete waste of money. How many negative reviews will it take before you stop making these?

Garbage By Jeremy

1/5 is too high a score. These new mouse traps deserve a 0. I can no longer find the old style metal ones, and these ones do not hold nearly as well. The weight of the plastic paddle is all it takes at any setting to release the kill bar. If I could return this trash I would. I am mad, why improve on the old design? They actually worked.

Pen under tab worked for me By MikeE

I just tried Luke's tip about using a pen under the yellow tab (I used a yellow pencil). Either I was very lucky today or else it really simplified setting and placing the traps. I had been shopping for other traps due to difficulty of placing these. I could actually set the trap but couldn't place on floor without tripping.
