Awesome By Beamedik

Easy to load, easy to unload, mice can’t steal the bait and run! We are having lots of mice coming in due to cold weather, and with 2 traps we already have 5.

COMPLETE JUNK By Sue

These things are horrible. They dismantle into pieces just looking at them. Unuseable pieces of junk. Never even got to try to kill mice with them. Will never buy again and have been getting bad results from your other traps as well. They USED to be SO GOOD & effective.

Don't waste your time By Ryan

Junk. I have a mouse in my garage hiding for the winter. It set off all 4 traps the first night, and 3/4 for the last three nights. It seems to avoid the one trap now. But it cleans out the peanut butter every night no problem.

Hello,

We are sorry to hear about this experience, but appreciate you taking the time to provide us with this feedback. You comments have been shared with our Product Managers.

If you test the trap (carefully!) with a pencil or something similar, does it trip properly? If it does, try baiting the trap using only a small amount of peanut butter (just what fits on the end of a toothpick). By using a smaller amount, the mice are less likely to be able to quickly grab the bait and run without setting off the trap. These traps are covered by a 30-day guarantee and a 1-year warranty with a copy of the purchase receipt.

NOT a "fast kill" mouse trap! By Jrae

I usually use a live trap for capturing and releasing the deer mice that are in my house but I had an escape artist that was able to eat the peanut butter in the live trap and run right out...this happened several times. I had to resort to the Victor "fast kill" trap and it was NOT a fast kill and NOT humane at all. I heard the trap go off so I immediately looked and the mouse was sitting about a foot away from the trap and it looked dazed. I put it outside and the next morning I saw it sitting on my deck clearly something was wrong, but no blood. People would say I'm ridiculous but I took it to a friend who does wildlife rehab and she said it had a head injury and she humanely euthanized it. After reading other reviews, it's apparent that this is not a fast kill trap and should not be advertised as that.

Disappointed By The hunter

I've been dealing with mouse issues in my condo on and off for 2 years. I had previously purchased the Victor brand mousetrap similar to the this grey/red trap, but it was a grey and black trap that was much sturdier and better quality. I had 100% success rate with those traps, but now that they don't sell them anymore, I was forced to be use the grey/red traps and tunnel traps and have had zero success. One night, a mouse set off this grey/red trap, but when I went to clean it up, it wasn't in the trap - it was scared, but alive underneath my stove. Please bring back the better quality grey & black trap!

We appreciate you taking the time to provide this feedback. For the best results, we recommend baiting traps with only the amount of peanut butter that will fit on the end of a toothpick. Effective and Easy to Set By Kevin

When it catches the mouse I have a 100% kill rate. The blood spatter out the nose/ mouth of the mice can be a little gruesome. But, this is war. I have had almost no bate theft. Occasionally a chipmunk will get into my garage and trip the traps going after the bate. I have about a half dozen traps in rotation. A couple springs seem to have stretched and don't snap down as fast. Design makes it easy to release the dead mice and reload without fear of getting my fingers snapped. I recommend these traps to others.

Won't hold mouse in the trap By Fred

I used these traps and at first they seemed to catch and hold mice. I tried using them again a few months later and they would not hold on to the critter. I went to the store and bought the wooden ones and viola' they caught mice. I like the wood ones better and they are way cheaper.

Works great, but act quickly to ensure the mouse does not escape. By Boxerfan1234

I had a mouse getting into my bbq, which is nasty. I went and bought a 3 pack of these from Wally World. Baited the trap with peanut butter and a small piece of cheese. Checked on the traps and saw that it caught the mouse. The mouse was not moving, but instead of deal with it, I decided to go to bed. The next morning I went out to deal with the mouse and the mouse was gone! As was the cheese, there was a small amount of blood on the trap, so the mouse is injured, (although I must admit that another animal may have came for a free snack) I am unsure if the trap killed the mouse or not, but lesson learned, dispose of the mouse immediately.

Disappointed By JG

Like others here, I thought I would try these rather than the traditional snap traps. They are easy to set and seemed to be a reasonable design. I have two of them and have set each of them 6 times and, with the exception of 3 times, they were sprung without catching a mouse. The three times they did catch a mouse, only one was immediately fatal. The other two times the mouse was injured and I had to kill them to stop their suffering. Needless to say, I will not be using them again. It looks like others have had success, but I can't risk using a product that I'm not comfortable will produce a quick, humane kill.

Excellent Mouse Trap! By Jimbic

I don’t know what happened to the people who had no success with this trap, I have set it up three times and all three times have been a success! Easy to set up, baited it as instructed (peanut butter), and most importantly, and you can call me a sissy, but the kill appears to be instant and humane! Easy to dispose of dead mouse is another feature I liked! Would recommend this trap with no issues!

Q&A
Q.can the trap be cleaned if blood is visible ? or should it be disposed of ?
A.

The traps can be disposed of or reused depending on your personal preference. If blood is present and the traps are intended to be used again, wipe them off with with a damp cloth and unscented soap.

Q.How do you disarm the Victor quick kill mouse trap once it is set?
A.

To disarm the trap, we recommend holding onto the red kill bar with one hand while gently lifting up the bait hatch with your other hand. This will disengage the kill bar, allowing it to be slowly brought down to the unset position.
