Caught well over 100 mice with these traps and they are the best of all the brands I've tried. Why do I love this Victor Power-Kill, let me count the ways: These traps don't torture the mice, they smack them down and knock them out, it is rare to find a near kill in these traps, these traps or omnidirectional so I catch mice facing the trigger platform and also who have crawled through the backway, these traps are not expensive and each trap has lasted long enough to kill dozens of mice so I've found them to be very durable too. Victor made a better mouse trap when they invented the 393. Then they changed the design. They are not as effective as the other ones. I bought them on Amazon and though the picture looked the same that is not what I received.

great traps, i buy often, easy to set, easy to clean or reuse, very strong snap, don't overload with bait, put just enough in so mouse gets close
Put out 2 traps this morning with cheese in the troughs. This evening the cheese is gone from both with no mouse in sight. One tiny dropping!

Easy to set, easy to empty, and reusable. I bait mine with a single shelled peanut that I "Hot Glue" into the bait hole on trip pedal. I was able to catch 5 mice on one peanut before have to replace the bait.
This design is not an example of how Victor built a better mouse trap. The mechanism that is supposed to click over the kill bar doesn't engage the kill bar sufficiently to lock it in place. This was true of two traps. Very disappointed in a product from a company that should have had enough experience to make a better mouse trap.

I bought these traps a few years ago and just purchased more. They are the easiest traps to set and the easiest ones to get the mouse out of. They also are a quicker kill and almost always kill immediately.
Another bites the dust! This trap succeeded where others failed to catch a bold mouse! Baited with dog food, placed where I would see it run by and this morning the mouse was caught and dead! Easy to empty and reset.
First night I set the trap, it caught one. 2nd night I set a trap, it caught another. Then I set 3 in one shot and one had all the peanut butter licked off but caught nothing...and the other 2 caught one each. I then set another 4 in the same area and right after I set it I walked away for a minute and came back to throw utensils in garbage and there it was...tiny mouse just eating away at the peanut butter, walking all over the trap...I was waiting to watch it snap but nope...he just had a full dinner and went back into hiding. Even have a recording of it.
