How do I bait the Multi-Kill™? / What should I use to bait it?
Question by: Kathryn Tator on Oct 24, 2020, 10:38 AM
To bait the Multi-Kill™ Mouse Trap, first make sure the trap is turned off. Open the kill chamber door located on top of the mouse trap. We’ve carefully researched and recommend baiting with anything high in protein like peanut butter or hazelnut spread. Place a small amount of bait (the size of a pea) against the back wall of the kill chamber. Be sure to use gloves or a tool to bait so your scent is not transferred onto the trap. Please don’t place the bait or any other material directly on the metal plates as this will falsely trip the system.

How long do the batteries last?
Question by: Kathryn Tator on Oct 24, 2020, 10:43 AM
The batteries in the Multi-Kill™ mouse trap will provide approximately one year of stand-by power.

Do you offer a plug in version of this unit?? We have a couple of these units and the batteries don’t seem to last very long
Question by: Richard Nichols on Nov 20, 2024, 11:14 AM
I'm sorry that the batteries don't last very long. Unfortunately, we do not offer a plug-in version of this unit, or any of our mouse electronic traps. They are all battery-operated. Thank you for your question.

Do you sell spare parts for the trap?
Question by: Ole Kristen Tømmerholen on Dec 13, 2024, 10:05 AM
Hi, we don't sell replacement parts.

I bought two new units but neither has caught anything. I have done everything as the instructions say & have used this in the past so I believe everything we are doing is correct. We have even tried different batteries. Any idea why they would not be working?

Thank you for getting in contact with Victor.
Regarding the Victor® Multi-Kill™ Electronic Mouse Trap, I’m sorry to hear that there have been no catches so far. Let’s follow these instructions to improve results:
Apply a small amount of peanut butter or another high-protein bait such as chocolate, hazelnut spread, or bacon.
Use a Q-tip, toothpick, or another tool to apply the bait to avoid transferring your scent.
It’s very important to use a utensil, as rodents can detect human scent. If they do, they may avoid the trap and not be attracted to the bait.
I hope this helps! Please let us know if you need further assistance.
Best regards

2 Brand new traps, brand new batteries. Light does not blink on for either one. How do I troubleshoot?
Question by: Drew on Mar 7, 2025, 2:28 PM
If the Victor® Multi-Kill™ Electronic Mouse Trap light is not working, follow these troubleshooting steps:
Check the Batteries – Ensure they are fresh and properly installed. The trap requires 4 C batteries; weak or incorrectly placed batteries can prevent operation.
Inspect for Debris – Clean the metal kill plates and the interior of the trap. Dust, dirt, or debris can interfere with functionality. Use a dry cloth or a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol.
Reset the Trap – Turn the trap OFF, wait a few minutes, then turn it back ON to reset the system.
Ensure Proper Placement – The trap should be placed against a wall where mice travel, on a level surface, and in a dry location.
Look for Damage – Check for any signs of damage to the unit, including frayed wires or broken components.
Monitor for Clogs – If a mouse was recently caught, ensure the disposal drawer is emptied and the trap is properly cleaned before reuse.
Verify the Indicator Light Functionality – The light should blink green when a mouse is caught, red when the batteries are low, and flash yellow if the chamber needs cleaning. If no light is showing, it may indicate a power issue.
If these steps don’t resolve the issue, the unit may need repair or replacement. Contact Victor® Customer Support for further assistance.
