Poor instructions- only drawings on side of box. Needs a video link.. Spring too stiff for me to engage, Returning it tomorrow. The moles got lucky. Will look for a different manufacturer

Impossible to set trap. Need more surface to push into dirt. Larger handle. After finally correctly setting traps, both tripped but no moles.

THIS TRAP WORKS--IF you can set it. Pulling up the spring loaded plunger is nearly impossible unless you are of above average physical strength. I have three of them, and have designed and built all sorts of contraptions to make pulling up the plunger easier to set. I can set these traps about one time out of 15, but before then I'm fed up and exhausted. The trap doesn't have enough places to hold on to, and the ones it has aren't large enough for most people to get a firm hold on. One of my adaptions made pulling up the plunger a little better, so it can be done. But the trigger, notches, stops and other parts seem to easily go out of alignment, compounding the problem. Pulling up that spring-loaded plunger is the major problem. Victor: design some easier way to pull it up; more effective hand-holds. Look at all the reviews on Amazon. Every other one mentions the difficulty, or impossibility of pulling up the plunger to set. Your trap does work, but not for half of the people who purchase them! It may cost you to improve the product, but if you double your sales, wouldn't that offset the cost? Sadly, I just threw one of the Victor traps away, and I'll get started working on another adaption for the other two.

Have used these for over 30 years

I have used this style trap for years and have always had great success with them. I like the fact that no digging is required like with other traps, and in my opinon, they are easy and fast to set. I also have another style of mole trap, but prefer these more.

Springs have been weakened to the point that they're almost useless.

Near impossible to set, why is it too hard to simply provide written instructions on the unit?

1 star because there is no O star rating. Very hard to set. In fact was not able to get it to set. Cartoon instructions and no info about the safety setting. Next door neighbor uses a different brand, which I will be buying now.

my wife and I spent over 45 min trying to set the trap, Im 6 ft 1 in at 300 lbs ( not a weakling ) the spring is so strong it was impossible to set. followed instructions . never got it set, gave up will attempt to return product, which I rarely do. But in this case I feel this trap is so poorly designed it should of never been approved by the product manager as a shippable product.

Have not got a mole yet, trying for a month now. Very hard to set trap.
