Quickly and effectively kills moles inside tunnels
Easy to set – insert in ground, step on foot pegs, and raise handle
Sensitive trap is triggered with the slightest movement
Spears are located below ground, away from children and pets
Trapping moles has never been easier, thanks to the sleek, ergonomically designed Deadset® Mole Trap. If you’ve ever struggled to set a mole trap, you will undoubtedly appreciate how effortless it is to activate this one. It also comes fully assembled and ready to use! Plus, you can have peace of mind in knowing that the trap’s spears are located below ground, away from children and pets.
Sensitive Trigger Quickly Kills Moles
The Deadset® Mole Trap features a precision-built triggering system that is activated by the slightest movement. When underground movement is detected, the spears are thrust into the ground, quickly killing the mole.
Easy to Use
The Deadset® boasts an ergonomically designed, easy grip handle and an oversized activator plate that can be pushed into the tunnel by hand or foot. When setting this plunge-style mole trap, make sure the spears can move freely through the ground so nothing obstructs them when the trap is triggered.
How to Set the Deadset® Mole Trap
The Victor® Deadset® Mole Trap is incredibly easy to use. Simply follow these six easy steps to get started.
Prior to treatment, determine which tunnels are active by poking a 1” hole in the raised earth into the tunnel. If the hole is resealed in 24 hours, the tunnel is active.
After identifying active burrows, water the active area thoroughly.
Press down on the raised earth with your foot to collapse the roof.
Then, press the trap into the softened ground. Use the foot pegs to set the trap firmly in place.
Raise and lower the handle until the spears move freely through the ground.
With feet on the foot pegs, raise the handle to set the trap.

After the 4th time using this Trap, one of the ground pegs broke off because there was a rock under the lawn that wasn't visible.
Cheap plastic construction.
Doesn't work well. Only caught two moles / voles in two years. Followed instructions.
Easily broken. Bought two Model M9015 traps. One in 2024 that lasted about 2 months and another in 2025 that worked about 10 times before breaking. There is a piece of spring steel within the device that is acts as the re-set. Both devices failed in the same way....the spring steel broke at the 180 degree bend within the trigger.
Less likely to get pinched than with the all steel traps, but those last a full season and are cheaper to buy.
Victor is supposed to send me a replacement - hopefully it is more robust.
legs eventually break off, but still my favorite trap

By far my favorite mole trap - and so easy to use. I have a tree farm with quite the mole problem. Last year I killed at least 20 by moving three traps around over a few months. The plastic legs break off eventually which is why I can only give these four stars. Otherwise pretty great product :)
Victor dead set mole trap works wonderful, and they stand behind their products. I had one that the leg broke, I text them my problem, being under warranty they delivered me a new trap. Wonderful company.
Works like a charm.. just have to be patient and make sure you get it in a fresh tunnel and set and release the trap a couple of times to allow the spikes to go down all the way. Excellent customer service as well!!
Tried a handful of other mole traps, including Victor's metal mole trap (which was very hard to set). For the first time in many years I was able to catch a mole! Victor brags about how easy this trap is to set, and they are right. I was very happy on how easy it was to set, and evidently effective. I am going to purchase more. I see other reviews complain about the little push feet breaking, so I intend to be careful with those.
i have trouble with the small foot lever. i broke one off and i complained to your company. you sent me a free one. thank you for that. if i didn't have such hard rocky soil there would be no problem. i love the trigger system.
Can trigger sensitivity be adjusted? Seems like a lot of force to trigger
