We have used these Rat Zappers for many years. Nothing lasts forever so we buy more when they die which they do like everything else. It seems the older ones were better made then the new ones, they lasted longer. I will continue to buy and use these because they work.

When I first got it the device killed 3 rats but after that rats ate the bait and left. No other kills. At this time I would not advise it.

The traps don't last. I've had probably a dozen of them - a mix of models. I keep buying them because I'm afraid of the snap traps and they are effective - if only for a short while. I've had the same problem with every one I've bought. They last varying amounts of time but are very effective when first purchased.
This thing was impressive except for the low battery life issue.

This thing was impressive. It killed 9 rats in a row! But then I began getting the low battery signal (fast red light flashing). These were new Duracell batteries.
It does what it is designed to do, kill rats. Only problem is that the batteries did not last for the stated 60 kills.

Works very well for a while. This is my second one and it lasted 1 1/2 years. The last mouse it just kept buzzing and you could see a blue arc from the plate to the mouse tail. Went on for a long time as we could not figure out where the buzzing was coming from.
Eventually figured it out and turned the Zapper off. Cleaned it out and reset but after that the bait was gone and no new kills. Tried the screw driver test but no arc so its dead. Even bought new batteries and no joy. For almost $100 it should last for ever. I'm going back to snap traps.

These traps are amazing. For some reason this year the mice were awful. These traps kill quick and are easy to use. The trick to long life on these traps is you must keep them clean.

I love these rat zappers because all I have to do is either plug it in or put batteries in it. It caught everything I even had one up in my attic and I caught flying squirrels if you can believe that. I need to buy a couple more because I just heard some rats under my house chewing and playing am I afraid of those noises Yes I am but as soon as I get that rats zapper I feel very safe that that rat zapper will kill anything. I have one in my laundry room on all the time and I just caught a mouse. So I’m confident that when I plug this in it’s going to kill whatever is chewing underneath my crawlspace. Clean and Efficient

I've used these Rat-Zapper electronic traps multiple times over many years. They are clean and efficient. Three traps in three locations yielded over a dozen mice in just a few days! Over the years I've dispatched mice, rats, squirrels and other nuisance critters. They are battery hogs, but when you have fresh batteries, they work great.
