hello, just purchased the victor zapper max. can you tell me how to remove the power unit from the trap so batteries can be installed.
Also, the guide states that this comes with screws to secure the battery door.
There are no screws in the box. Could they already be installed?

You would first remove the kill chamber and then slide out the power pak. The screw for the battery door should be installed.

This trap is covered by a 1-year replacement policy from the date of purchase.

Will the circuitry of the unit be able to utilize rechargeable batteries? I have a number of high quality AA rechargeable batteries designed for high end photographic strobes. Be nice to use what is on hand…

I cannot figure out how to remove the power pack after reading 2 other q&a on the same topic. PLEASE post a diagram on how to do this. Your words are not clear enough.

when we turn the trap on, it flashes green several times followed by a red flash. Is that normal?

The trap should only flash once when it is turned on. Checking the battery level should cause a series of lights to display. If replacing the batteries doesn't resolve the issue, please contact us at 855-584-2867 for assistance. We're happy to help.

Alkaline batteries are fine to use as long as they are not rechargeable. They will not be as effective as lithium batteries.
