Victor® Wide Pedal Mouse Trap - A New Twist on a Classic Design
Simplify your rodent control routine with the Victor® Wide Pedal Mouse Trap. Using the original wooden snap trap design with an improved larger trip pedal to ensure higher catch rates, this trap will help you to effectively eliminate rodents around your household or business. Two settings, Firm and Sensitive, allow you to control the sensitivity of the trap. For the best accuracy and outcome, we recommend setting the trap somewhere between these two settings. In addition, these traps require no chemicals or poisons.
Expanded Trigger Plate
The Wide Pedal Mouse Trap enhances the classic snap trap design by adding a large plastic trigger plate to ensure higher catch rates. The expanded size means it can be easily activated both by rodent interest in food and through accidental contact as mice scamper across the floor. Note - Firm and Sensitive setting. Trap will be easier to set on the firm side, but not trip easily. The trap will be more difficult to set on the sensitive setting, but trip easily.
Easy 4-Step Setup
For your convenience, the Victor® Wide Pedal Mouse Trap is very easy to use. Get your trap setup by following these four simple steps:
Release the Arm Bar - Remove the staple and move it so the arm hangs over the back of the trap.
Bait the Trap - While the trap is pre-baited with a scent, apply bait on the plastic pedal for best results. Use a high-protein bait such as peanut butter or hazelnut spread.
Hold Securely - Pull back the kill bar and hold it securely with your thumb.
Set the Trap - Place the arm bar over the kill bar and secure it under the plastic pedal. Take note of the Firm and Sensitive setting. The trap will be easier to set on the firm side, but not trip as easy. The trap will be more difficult to set on the sensitive side, but trip very easily.
Location, Location, Location
Set the baited trap in areas where you have noticed high levels of rodent activity. Rodents tend to travel along walls, so placement in this location often works best. For maximum effectiveness, use multiple traps, placed at 2 to 3 foot intervals to increase results. Place the trap with the baited end flush against the wall.
Quick & Effective
Once a rodent triggers the pedal, the Wide Pedal Mouse Trap immediately springs closed to eliminate the pest on contact. After a catch, simply lift the kill bar to dispose of the mouse and reuse the trap or, dispose of the entire trap for quick, clean removal. It’s your decision!
"BEST TRAP ON THE MARKET! I purchased the easy set traps because of the tension adjustment (either hard or soft) I have tried other traps and even using a side-by-side comparison, the Victor traps captured the rodent every time. Victor is the only trap I'll buy from now on. It works, it's durable and easy to set!"

Mouse Trap Instructions
Release the arm bar from the staple.
Move the arm bar to the back of the trap so it hangs over the back of the trap.
Apply a small amount of high-protein bait, such as peanut butter, hazelnut spread or bacon to the yellow plastic pedal on the trap as shown. Use a Q-tip, toothpick or another tool to bait to avoid transferring your scent to the trap.
Pull the kill bar back and hold it in place with your thumb.
Place the arm bar over the kill bar and secure it under the plastic pedal. Take note of the Firm and Sensitive setting. The trap will be easier to set on the firm side, but not trip as easy. The trap will be more difficult to set on the sensitive side, but trip very easily.
Place the trap where you have seen signs of rodent activity or along the wall where rodents primarily travel. The end of the trap where the metal pedal is baited should be placed flush against the wall.
After the mouse is caught, properly dispose of the dead rodent. The trap can either be discarded or reused.
This is a finger breaker. They will not stay set. It is next to impossible to get the metal holder turned the correct way to hold
the plastic pedal. The plastic is slick and there is not enough friction to continually hold the metal piece in place. Save your fingers.

She loves that sound.

She loves that sound. Got him by the B---s. I bought 72 of them for our ranch and have had no failure.
We're sorry to hear about that! Hold the trap vertically and make sure the yellow pedal is at about a 20 or 30 degree angle from the base, then set the trap by hooking the metal bar under the lip of the yellow pedal. If you hook the left side of the pedal, the trap will be easier to set but slightly more difficult to trip. If you hook the right side, the trap will be more difficult to set but slightly easier to trip. For the best accuracy and outcome, we recommend setting the trap somewhere between these two settings. The problem with these traps is the metal bar slips on the plastic plate. Very rarely catches as two slick surfaces don’t work well together.
We are sorry to hear about that and appreciate your valuable feedback. We would like to help you get the most of your purchase! It is good to know that the traps are covered under a 30-day return policy and a 1-year replacement policy. Please give us a call at 855-584-2867 for assistance.

I’ve been using your brass pedal traps for years and I love them. Unfortunately the store only had the plastic pedal traps so I hot those. They are awful, very difficult to set, always go off while trying to set. I threw them away. Please make more brads pedals.
Thank you for sharing this recent experience with our Easy Set® traps. We apologize for the difficulty in setting them. To learn more about setting this trap and bait placement, we recommend watching our instructional video, linked below.

Frustrating to set but when you do set them they are strong enough to kill on impact unlike some of the other ones I have bought but it is nearly impossible to set it correctly first time and I have seen the videos I have read the instructions time and time again I don't need a comment saying how to do it, they dont set right I hope they fix this issue because I had to throw some out because they refused to set.

I purchased 12 of these. They are so tricky to set and have them stay. 7 of the 12 will not set at all. I would not recommend these at all!

I have never experienced such ...

I have never experienced such dissatisfaction with any product in my life than this “Easy Set” Mouse Trap! The new plate that supposed to set the trigger would not keep the kill bar from snapping before I could set it down. After it snapped twice on my finger I chucked it along with the other new one in the package in the trash. “Build a better mouse trap and the world will beat down your door”. Well, this is not it. At least with the old style I could set it and it would hold until I set in place. No stars was not an option or this would have had that honor.
We're sorry to hear you had trouble with this trap! Our metal pedal trap is still being manufactured. Please feel free to contact us at 855-584-2867 for assistance, we're happy to help! -Kathryn
