My husband bought several packages ...

My husband bought several packages of the Victor scent away fnatural rodent repellent packs and also the Victor sonic plug in outlet product and neither product helped at all! I have mice still crawling up behind my stove onto my countertops with a trail of waste behind them. I have five sent away packs around my stove and three victor sonic plugins in my kitchen and still there's mice droppings around my countertop which tells me that these products from Victor are not effective because I have several of them all around my kitchen and it has not helped at all. I have no food on my counters or around my stove so there's no reason on my end for the continued visits from mice. We were hoping at least one of these two Victor products would help but they have not helped at all and was a complete waste of money!

The Scent-Away natural rodent repellent packs are designed to work best in enclosed or confined spaces (like cabinets, drawers, or small storage areas) where the scent can build up and remain concentrated. In more open areas like a kitchen, especially around appliances, the scent can dissipate quickly and may not be as effective.
For the ultrasonic plug-in repellents, it’s important to know that the sound waves behave differently depending on the environment. The ultrasonic frequency bounces off hard surfaces like walls, tile, and cabinets, but it gets absorbed by soft materials like furniture, curtains, and other objects. If there were items blocking the path (or multiple surfaces breaking up the signal), the coverage can be limited. For best results, the devices should be placed with as clear and open a path as possible, minimizing obstacles in front of them.
Given what you’re describing, it may also indicate a more active infestation, where repellents alone may not be enough to fully resolve the issue. In those cases, combining methods (such as traps along known travel paths, sealing entry points, and continued sanitation) tends to be more effective.

Product totally ineffective.

Product totally ineffective. I purchased two 5-packs and used them in my shed. I placed 3 in a smallish sized shed and the mice actually chewed through the satchels and used the material in their nest. The nest was within 6" of the satchel. Totally useless. I tried to attach a photo, but the 2mb photo was too big for the system.
There is no way that this product does a thing. I gave 1 star because they have value as an air freshener.

Love this product, from Canada so have to travel to purchase unfortunately. The reason for the 4 stars is because so, so disappointed you’ve changed the way this product comes packaged I liked being able to hang up in certain areas, please bring the old packaging back or let me know where I can get…
Did not repel rodents

Installed 5 of these in my small crawl space last weekend. Checked 5 days later and there were fresh droppings next to or on top of every sachet. Although the mint scent is strong, this product does not ward off rodents.

Our big BBQ unit outside ...

Our big BBQ unit outside the house was full of rodent popo and nests when we didn’t use it for the winter.
I cleaned it and hung this scent away rodent repeller inside. Whoala! No evidence of rodents after 2 months. The BBQ is shiny and clean!
This product works. I’m going to try it inside our pool heater where rodents are also nesting and gnawing on the wirings. I have a feeling it will work there too.
I’m not being paid to write this review. I thought consumers should know about my experience. I’m going to order more.

Scent repels mice

Bought this product to repel recent mice activity at my mother-in-laws. That very evening we were at our house and observed a mouse running across our sunroom floor - right past our cat mind you... It hid behind a copper wall panel. I took a new peppermint sachet as a sort of experiment and stuck it at one edge of the wall panel. Shortly there after (1 minute) out ran the mouse from the non-scented side of the panel. It seemed that it wanted nothing to do with that smell. It ran towards our front door (past the cat yet again...) and we were able to open the door to shoo it outside. So based on that experiment it did repel the mouse from it's hiding spot. Assuming this is an indicator that it would also repel them from mother-in-law's cabinets/counters.

They are designed for use in confined spaces like pantries, drawers, and storage bins, as well as vehicles, where other pest-control products can't reach.
