The latest innovation in rat traps, the Victor® Power Kill Rat Trap is set and released with one simple “click”. This one-step open and close mechanism also makes it easy to cleanly dispose of the rodent with no hand contact.
The rat killer trap was designed with a large trough for easy baiting with any of their favorite foods. The Power Kill’s oversized pedal is easily activated – both by rodent interest in food AND through accidental contact as rats scamper across the floor – to ensure maximum trapping quickly. Once a rodent triggers the pedal, the powerful jaw immediately springs closed for a quick, humane kill on contact.
The clean-trapping Victor® Power Kill Rat Trap delivers effective and immediate rat control – even in hard to reach places. Each powerful rat trap features two holes on the back for attachment to pipes, beams and other hard-to-access places where rats thrive.
Made of highly durable plastic, each rat trap of this twin pack is safe for use around food, water, animals and children and can be reused multiple times to maximize rat control. Victor® Power Kill Rat Traps are the perfect for use anywhere in the home. These rat killing traps should be placed where rodents travel, such as along walls at 2 to 3 foot intervals.

They are easy to operate and easy to bait and I have caught one each time that I have put them out. I'm now realizing that the problem was worse than I thought and I will purchase more of these traps.Date published: 2016-10-18Rated 1 out of 5 by TXRatKiller from Does Not Kill I bought one of these with a couple of the good ole Wooden Ones and the first night I got 2 dead rats with the wooden ones and the second night I CAUGHT a rat with the Power-Kill trap but it did not kill him...I don't think there is enough power in these traps to kill big rats, I ended up having to shoot the rat in the head with a pellet gun because I was afraid the thing was gonna get out and I did not want to listen to him flop around all night...all in all, a very un-nerving night!! Bottom line use the Wooden Traps...they work and KILL every time and are cheaper too!Date published: 2016-09-16Rated 1 out of 5 by Rhonda from Caused suffering We have been using this trap on our property and have killed about 10 rats with it. I did notice a couple of times that the deceased rat had managed to move several feet before dying, so wondered how long they dying had taken. This morning at 4 a.m., I went out and checked the trap (insomnia). I assumed a rat had just been trapped, as it seemed to be in its death throes. It was not a huge rat. When I checked back at 10 a.m., it was still alive and SUFFERING! I managed to release it but was not able to finish it off with my shovel. I felt absolutely terrible that the poor creature had suffered for 6 hours or more. I don't believe the kill bar is strong enough to cause an instant, humane death, as it is only retracted to a 90 degree angle. I have purchased 2 old-fashioned Victor traps, where the kill bar is at 180 degrees. I will try to set them tonight and hope for better results. This experience has been sickening.Date published: 2016-08-30Rated 1 out of 5 by joey from sorry I bought these These seemed to be such a good idea, but so many times have left rats caught in a cruel way still lingering on...unless, they get the food and get away altogether. The wooden traps are better in our opinion. The black metal electric are the very best of all.Date published: 2016-07-18Rated 5 out of 5 by frightwing from 2 for 2 I bought two last night, baited with sunflower seeds. Two dead mice this morning.Date published: 2016-07-12Rated 5 out of 5 by Polara 712 from The greatest trap ever I just want to be the one to say that this is the greatest rat trap ever !!!! In 10 days I have nailed 18 Rats using 3 POWER KILL Traps. My first kill had 2 in it. I kid you not. All you do is put peanut butter in the bowl only none on the paddle . Push the trap in the soil near hole so the RAT can reach the bowl with his nose . Then the Rat puts it's weight on the paddle. DONE !!! I've gone on internet, YouTube tried everything. Don't waste your time. POWER KILL and Peanut butter is all you need. !!Date published: 2016-07-09Rated 5 out of 5 by Sharon from Best rat trap ever! We have a terrible rat problem in our area. I bought several of the older wooden models and one of these from Home Depot, which is the only store in our area that stocks them. Rats can easily lick the peanut butter from the old-style traps without setting off the trap, but this new Power-Kill forces the rat to put it's entire head onto the lever, then Whammo, dead rat. We set three Power-Kills out last night, and within two minutes, we had one rat. Minutes later, another, and by morning when I checked the traps, another. We're batting 1000 with these traps.I have recommended these traps to all my neighbors. They are easy to set and easy to release the dead rat so we can re-use the traps. Fantastic! Bravo!Date published: 2016-06-29Rated 5 out of 5 by Jimm from Got em both Good price, fast service, quality product. Got a second just in case and glad I did 2 for 2Date published: 2016-06-13
can this trap be used for mice or just rats? This Power-Kill™ trap is designed for rats. We would recommend our Power-Kill™ Mouse Trap (model M142S) for catching mice.Date published: 2015-12-15
