Description

Victor® Multi-Kill™ Electronic Mouse Trap - 3 Traps

The Victor® Multi-Kill™ Mouse Trap uses a high-voltage shock to kill mice in seconds. More efficient than traditional single-mouse snap traps, the Multi-Kill™ can kill up to ten mice per setting and up to 150 mice per set of four “C” batteries, with a 100% kill rate.

The Victor® Multi-Kill™ Mouse Trap is very easy-to-use. Simply bait, place and turn on. When baiting, be sure not to overbait, and don’t get any bait or other material directly on the metal plates as this will falsely trip the system. A green light will flash once to indicate the trap is working properly.

There are two ways into the Victor® Multi-Kill™ Mouse Trap, and zero ways out. Mice climb one of two staircases to reach the Shock N' Drop Chamber™ where the bait and metal plates are located. Inside, the patented tunnel design and beveled columns hold the mouse in place as it steps onto metal plates to reach the bait. This contact completes the circuit and issues a high-voltage shock that kills the mouse in seconds. The chamber rotates automatically to deposit the mouse into the Collection Drawer, and then resets itself for the next mouse.

The light above the power switch will blink green for up to seven days to indicate a kill. A yellow light blinks when the collection drawer is full, and a red light blinks to let you know when to replace the batteries. To dispose of the mice, just slide open the collection drawer and dump the bodies directly into the trash for a safe, clean, no-see, no-touch disposal.

The Multi-Kill™ Mouse Trap can be used anywhere indoors. It doesn’t use chemicals or poisons, and features a built-in safety switch that automatically deactivates the trap whenever the lid is opened, making it safe to use around children and pets.

 Directions:

  1. Remove battery cover. Unwrap and insert the 4 “C” batteries provided. Replace the battery cover.
  2. Open the top of the Multi-Kill Electronic Mouse Trap.
  3. Bait the trap using the bait trough provided. The bait trough is located on the back wall of the trap. Apply a small amount of peanut butter or anything high in protein like chocolate, hazelnut spread, etc. Be sure to use a Q-tip, toothpick or another tool to bait so your scent is not transferred onto the trap. Close the lid on the electronic mouse trap.
  4. Place the trap where you have seen signs of rodent activity or along the wall where rodents primarily travel. The trap should be placed lengthwise against the wall with the entrance hole nearest the wall.
  5. Turn on the trap – a green light will blink once showing the trap is working properly.
  6. A blinking green light will indicate a kill. Dispose of the dead rodent, bait, place and reset for continued rodent control.

Totally dissatisfied. Wish I had my money back. By jacuzzis

I figured any trap made and sold by Victor HAD to be the best you could buy, but I'm really sorry I wasted my money on buying three of these. I got them about five years ago and have properly baited and set them in various places and different countries and have NEVER caught/killed a mouse with even one of them. I'm considering getting some plain, old "snap traps" because I know they'll work...I was looking at the "Tri-Kill" traps because I used to use some six-sided wooden ones with a sort of "reverse action" kill-bar that sprang up from a groove in each entry point when a mouse would trip that individual trigger as it attempted to reach a single bait, located in the center of the device. This was over 60 years ago and I wish I could still find the same traps to buy.....they were great! I can't NOT recommend the electronic traps here strongly enough to anybody considering them......I'm absolutely convinced THEY DON'T WORK!

Excellent product. By pkk

Excellent product that does what it claims. We have ordered numerous units to use at our plant, which is out in the country. We have monthly pest control, but their poisons left mice going into the walls and dying there. Not pleasant to stand for a week or so. Sticky papers are horribly cruel. This is the most humane instrument to control rodents that I have seen and I personally appreciate that. I ordered a unit for my residence even though we do not have a rodent problem.

We apologize for this experience. For the best results, we recommend placing this trap against the wall in an area where rodent activity has been seen. Also, wearing gloves when baiting and handling the trap ensures human scent is not transferred to the trap.

Please feel free to contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-5-VICTOR (1-855-584-2867) with any questions or for additional assistance.

Not good By Matt

Mice are eating peanut butter off the steps but not going for it inside. Haven't caught one . I have placed it in several locations and in every location there's is mice feces but no catches. Disappointed, especially for the money that it costs.

Response From Victor®
Patty : Consumer Relations Representative

Hello Matt,

We are sorry to hear about this experience and would like the opportunity to help.

If the mice have become accustomed to eating the bait off the steps, reducing the amount there (perhaps just a tiny smear at the top) may better draw them inside. Feel free to contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-5-VICTOR (1-855-584-2867) for further assistance.

Not for use in out buildings. By KMo

Used for 3 weeks. 2 catch indications, no catches. Now, Low Battery indications. Used in machine shed. I suspect ow temperature effects battery performance. States for indoor use only. My machine shed is indoors, not exposed to outdoor elements. Not until you purchase the unit and read the fine print in the CAUTION box at the end of the Instructions, does it say not for use in barns or stables. The use is extremely limited if not for use in out buildings.

Response From Victor®
Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

Proper placement is going to vary in each location due to several different factors such as temperature and humidity. We recommend using the product indoors only.

How was the trap baited? We recommend baiting with a toothpick amount of peanut butter on the back wall of the trap. Nothing should be touching the metal plates.

Please feel free to contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-5-VICTOR (1-855-584-2867) with any questions or for additional assistance.

FAQs

Victor®  Multi-Kill™ Electronic Mouse Trap - Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I bait the Multi-Kill™? / What should I use to bait it?

A: To bait the Multi-Kill™ Mouse Trap, first make sure the trap is turned off. Open the kill chamber door located on top of the mouse trap. We’ve carefully researched and recommend baiting with anything high in protein like peanut butter or hazelnut spread. Place a small amount of bait (the size of a pea) against the back wall of the kill chamber. Be sure to use gloves or a tool to bait so your scent is not transferred onto the trap. Please don’t place the bait or any other material directly on the metal plates as this will falsely trip the system.

Q: How do I clean the trap?

A: Through repeat use and baiting, dust and debris can settle on the metal plates inside the trap, so we recommend that you clean your trap between each use. To clean the trap:

  • Turn the unit to the off position and remove the batteries
  • Use a hydrogen peroxide topical solution (available at most drug stores) and an old toothbrush to clean the inside of the chamber. Use a wire brush as needed to remove any corrosion, being careful not to be too vigorous. This could accidentally remove all of the protective zinc plating
  • Allow the Multi-Kill Electronic Mouse Trap to air dry completely
  • Replace the batteries and turn the unit back on

Q: Can it be used outdoors?

A: The Multi-Kill™ is recommended for indoor use only. This trap was designed and manufactured to be used indoors and not exposed to the elements. If this trap is used outside, the unit could potentially short out due to weather conditions, such as rain.

Q: How long does the battery last?

A: The batteries in the Multi-Kill™ mouse trap will provide approximately one year of stand-by power. The trap includes 4 "C" batteries.

Q: What may affect the effectiveness of an electronic trap?

A: To ensure that your trap works when it is supposed to, keep the metal plates clean so the trap won’t trigger at the wrong time.

  • Don’t over-bait, as excess food could drop onto the plates and activate the trap, after which any rodent may safely enter to remove the food.
  • Make sure that the plates are clear of any debris, especially urine or hair from a recent kill that may interfere with the unit’s proper function. Remember, both plates need to be clean so that the electric circuit is made complete by the rodent stepping on both.

Q:What does it mean when the light blinks green? Red?

A: When you turn on the trap, the green light will stay on for 2 seconds to confirm the trap is on. Then the light is supposed to go off. The green light will also blink to indicate a successful kill; however, in order to conserve battery, it only flashes about every 7 seconds.  A blinking red light indicates that the batteries are running low and will need to be replaced.
