How to Use

How to Use

Begin by setting the traps, then place near fresh mounds or in the main tunnel with two placed traps 12-18” apart (see illustration), one in each direction. Make sure the hole is covered so that light does not enter.

For easy trap retrieval, tie a string to the trap and secure it to a stake above the ground. Once a gopher is caught, the trap should be set at a different location. Most captures occur within 48 hours.

Come on ! They show these all the way down a perfect hole give me a break we all know that Gopher hole rolls are not as big as a guinea pig whole what in God’s name are they thinking and showing is just BS! Look at their hole in the trap my gopher holes there’s nowhere near enough room and if I have to go digging up the garden to actually get it all the way in? No don’t waste your time don’t waste your money not to mention the fact that my wife had one go into her fingers as they are very difficult to set

I tried poisoning them, flooding them and gasing them, noe of it worked. I bought a couple of these and now I'm a gopher getting pro! They work great. The only regret I have is that I should have bought more! Make sure to stake them down with a spike and a line or you'll be losing traps.

Took me just 1 day to nab my first gopher. Baited him in to the smell of a cheddar goldfish tipped with peanut butter. Patients is the key, check them often as the first few tries they covered the trap with dirt.

These traps work great.

I have been trapping gophers since I was a little kid using Victor gopher traps. These traps work better than any other trap I've tried. Generally I leave the hole uncovered but I will cover the traps if the gopher keeps pushing dirt into them.

Don’t cover the hole!

I purchased some of these traps to deal with a gopher problem on my 3 acre property. I tried many times over the first couple of weeks and couldn’t trap a single critter. I followed the instructions carefully but always found the trap to be filled with soil and no gopher. My son was watching me one day and asked why I was covering the hole after setting the two traps and I explained this is what the instructions stated. Well, seems that covering the hole is the wrong way to trap these critters. My son has been trapping these for a couple of years and always leaves the hole open so the gopher can see daylight. Apparently they don’t like to leave their holes open so in an active tunnel they will return quickly to cover it up. Now that I am using this strategy I can easily trap several gophers a day. I usually have a catch within 20 minutes of setting my traps if the hole is left open. These traps work as intended and I’m getting my gopher problem under control.
