The Victor® Electronic Rat Trap is the ultimate in rodent control. It works by delivering a humane, high-voltage shock to kill rats and mice that enter the chamber. Featuring a sleek, simple design, this trap allows for easy setup and No-See, No-Touch™ disposal. The trap also uses convenient LED lights to alert you of catches and low battery power.
Quick, Humane Kill
Once powered on, the Victor® Electronic Rat Trap uses smart circuit technology to deliver a humane, high-voltage shock, effectively killing rats and mice. This powerful device can kill up to 35 rats per set of batteries, making it a great value when you’re dealing with a sizable infestation.
No-See, No-Touch™ Disposal
With the Victor® Electronic Rat Trap, disposing of rats is a breeze. After a catch, an LED light blinks green, so you know when it’s time to empty the trap. Then just power off the trap and empty the chamber into the trash without ever having to touch the dead rodent. There’s no mess and no rodent contact.
Easy to Use
The Victor® Electronic Rat Trap takes the hassle out of eliminating rats. To use, apply a small amount of bait on the rear shock plate, turn the trap on, and place it along the wall near signs of rodent activity. In case of false triggers, this trap has an automatic re-arming feature so it can be triggered again without you needing to reset it.
Im a 42 year old hog farmer in North Alabama. Mice are an issue around here.
I have in my possession about every trap and contraption there is. But this is by far the best one ive ever tried.
It says rat but i use it for mice.. I have no associations with this company. I bought this at Home Depot and killed 6 mice in 2 days. It works and it works well.
This is the worst trap you have made yet...I have always used your products until now. Why would you remove the bait door? Now the little rodents can get to the bait from the outside and you can't catch them. Why did you make it smaller, I've killed rats that can't for through this damn trap. Why are you changing something that worked???? I'm taking it back and purchasing a different brand
The rat keeps eating the bait from behind the trap. It has hexagonal holes in the back allows the rat to go behind and reach the bait without the need to go inside the trap. Am I doing some thing wrong?
We are sorry to hear that this is occurring! We recommend placing the trap with the baited end flush against the wall to help prevent this from happening. Please feel free to give us a call at 855-584-2867 for more tips and tricks!

Rats! In NYC it's more than an expression

I live in NYC, because of construction nearby we've had a lot more displaced rats than usual. I had a rat trapped in my cabinet, not a baby rat, a 7"+ tail rat :( . The snap traps weren't big enough, or were huge, glue traps are cruel, poison could land a wall full of decomposing rodents. This Victor trap that i bought at Home Depot (because it's down the street and i needed one immediately) was easy. To load the bait the back comes open, making it easy to clean after, I used peanut butter. You put in the batteries, turn it on and it's ready. I left for dinner, when I got home there was a tail coming out the end of the trap. Amazing for me, sad for the rat. Turn off, the rat slid into the trash bag, no touching. It was humane for all involved (well, less good for the rat obviously, but it was quick). These traps are so good. I've recommended to my building. It's a little investment, but well worth it IMHO
This trap Could be more receptive to users if it was easy to clean and reuse.
The top (Entry kill area) should be of a round design which could be removed from a square, gasketed moisture resistant body, using spring loaded clips with a push button release which would seperate the tube from the base much like a magazine release on a rifle or pistol.
The tube and contacts could then also be easily cleaned and the base contacts easily cleaned and the trap maintained. As it is now, it's basically an expensive disposable trap.
Thank you for this feedback. We recommend cleaning the traps using the following steps:
Turn the trap off and remove the batteries.
Use a hydrogen peroxide topical solution (available at most drug stores) and an old toothbrush to clean the inside of the chamber. If needed, use a wire brush to remove any corrosion, being careful not to be too vigorous. This could accidentally remove all of the protective zinc plating.
Allow the interior and exterior of the kill chamber to air dry completely before reassembling.
Bait the trap.
Re-insert the batteries and turn the trap on.

It means that the Trap is enabled.

I bought your trap and four days in a row dispatched 4 very large rats. However after that, additional rats, seen by me, will not enter the trap no matter what bate I use. I even washed the lower section to remove any scent, and then even placed some bate right at the entrance but the bate remains absolutely undisturbed. What to do?

You can try putting it in a different area. Alternatively, try putting the bait in the normal spot inside the trap for a few days without turning it on to get the rats using to that spot as a food source. Once you notice the trap is being eaten, then you can bait it again and turn it on.
