Featuring a sleek, simple design, this trap has a built-in bait cup and allows for easy setup and No-See, No-Touch™ disposal. Quick, Humane Kill

Quick, Humane Kill

The Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap uses smart circuit technology to deliver a humane, high-voltage shock, killing mice quickly. Once fully inside the tunnel, beveled columns keep the mouse in place over the plates, ensuring a 100% kill rate if used as directed with fully charged batteries.

No-See, No-Touch™ Disposal

To enter the Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap, mice pass through a uniquely designed tunnel with beveled columns. These columns direct the mouse further into the tunnel and make it difficult to back out. The columns also help to keep the mouse in place over the trigger plate to prevent escapes, ensuring a 100% kill rate.

No-See, No-Touch Disposal

Helpfulness
Great product that really works!

Great product that really works! It's clean, humane, and easy to use if you follow the instructions. There is, however, a design flaw in the new model. The hexagonal scent holes are way too large. The mice get their teeth in and chew right through. The bait is located right next to those openings so mice are not motivated to find the main entrance. The previous model had much smaller scent holes so this was never a problem. Also, the bait shelf is very narrow. There use to be a small depression like a cup which sat below the recent holes which was easier to fill. That being said, this is still the best choice for "a better mouse trap".

It was great, until the refill cartridges sold out. I should have kept and cleaned my old cartridges instead of throwing them away, but had no idea there were no more refills to buy.

We’re sorry to hear about the difficulty finding refill cartridges for the Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap. Availability can vary by retailer, but the cartridges can be cleaned and reused by removing debris and wiping the interior with a damp cloth and hydrogen peroxide.

I was originally going to write a great review. After setting it up with batteries after purchase in 11/01/25 I set it and caught a mouse within 5 hours. After that nothing. I set up tomcat glue sticks and caught 4 more. The only that that happened with the electric mouse trap is that they ate the bait.

I’ve been using the Wi-Fi version for eight years I have no idea why you guys discontinued it. This new version has major problems one I never know when there’s a mouse in it the light needs to flicker like every two seconds once there’s a mouse in it I don’t care about the battery life my Wi-Fi one lasted seven years and one set of batteries with 30 kills. It needs a removable side so that when it gets all gross from decaying animals in it you can replace it. And the holes for the vent where the bait goes is too big all the mice are chewing through it in one night and ruining the traps. Now I have caught four mice in one night in four traps. But these traps aren’t gonna last they’re destroying them I’m chewing them apart need improvement go back to Wi-Fi the exact design was flawless but make it work with newer Wi-Fi and mesh networks

The combination of a poor reproduction and tiny type makes the instructions hard to read without a magnifying glass

After setting up the first unit, the mice were eating the bait with no kills. I put my fingers on both of the plates and felt no electrical shock. Victor Customer service told me that I might have a damaged unit. They replaced it free of charge and sent me a new unit. That one had the same problem. They then sent me the Victor Zapper Max (5 times the cost) free of charge. That one is working.

I don't usually write reviews but when something works really well, I want others to know. I saw a mouse Friday morning scurry across the kitchen floor. I have a significant mouse phobia so immediately thought we needed another cat! Most mouse traps aren't humane, they injure without killing or make them suffer and then you have to do the deed. We put out this trap late Sunday afternoon, by Tuesday morning we had caught one. It was definitely dead, and it was easy to dispose.

Two ideas for improvement
2
Oct 5, 2025
I have several of these traps. I am not having success. I have two ideas for improvement. 1. As seen in the photo, the scent holes by the bait cup are too large. This weakens the area and encourages the mouse to work on it as they can also see the bait. 2. The maze entryway is too restrictive. Is there a reason for that? I have had success in the past cutting out the maze baffles. Are they intended to keep the mouse there while being shocked? Thanks for continuing to improve this important product.

Thank you for your detailed feedback on the Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap. The maze and scent openings are designed to guide mice toward the bait and ensure an effective catch. For best performance, place the trap flush against walls where activity is seen, use a small amount of peanut butter in the bait cup without touching the metal plates, and keep the trap clean between uses. These steps help improve effectiveness and reliability.

Have used four of these electronic traps- good success-prefer the earlier ones which allowed separation of the kill chamber for easier cleaning. The blinking kill light should be more frequent; otherwise, a good and effective product.

I used to like these traps when they were two pieces. It was easy to get rid of the mouse, and if the chamber got too gross, it could be tossed. I recently had a mouse that I didn’t notice right away and his remains made a mess…in trying to get him out of the trap, the trap was broken…I don’t even want to think about cleaning it, honestly, so it’s just as well. This was my “go to” trap, but I won’t buy them again. Too bad, because I was a big fan. I give 10 stars for effective killing. 0 stars for the experience today with disposal.

Q&A

I have used your older model for a few years now - very effective trap. But you used to sell extra chambers, which was fantastic - I do not see these on the website anymore. Please add them again!!
Question by: Denise on Oct 9, 2025, 9:07 PM
Thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear the older model worked well for you. The new model M250B does not separate into two pieces, which is why extra chambers are no longer available for purchase. We appreciate your suggestion and will share it with our product team for future consideration.
Answer by: Karla (Admin) on Oct 10, 2025, 10:18 AM
The M250B trap will not separate from the electronics so I can clean the chamber. Please give detailed instructions. Pushing forward and backwards does not work. Thanks.
Question by: James Smith on Jul 9, 2025, 1:35 PM
Thank you very much for contacting us.

To separate and clean your M250B trap, please follow these summarized steps:

Turn the trap off and remove the batteries.

Hold the trap with the battery compartment in your left hand, buttons facing up, and the rodent entrance facing you.

With your right hand, push forward to separate the kill chamber from the electronics housing.

Open the disposal door and clean the chamber using hydrogen peroxide and an old toothbrush. Use a wire brush carefully if there's corrosion, avoiding damage to the zinc coating.

Dry thoroughly, then reassemble by aligning and sliding the parts back together.

If it continues to be difficult to separate, ensure there is no debris stuck in the seams.

Exactly where do you put the bait? Very hard to see where to put it!
Question by: Joanne on Jan 21, 2025, 11:03 AM
Hi, thanks for reaching out!

To bait the Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap (model M250B), follow these simple steps:

Open the trap: Flip open the trap’s lid to expose the bait area.

Add the bait: Place a small amount of bait on the back part of the trap thru the holes using a toothpick inside the trap making sure not to touch the shock plate.

Close the trap: After adding the bait, close the trap securely. Ensure that it clicks into place and is locked properly.

Set the trap: Press the power button on the trap to activate it. You will typically hear a small sound or see a light indicating the trap is powered on.

Place the trap: Position the trap along walls or areas where you have seen mouse activity, as mice tend to travel close to walls.

Once a mouse enters the trap and contacts the sensor, the electronic mechanism will deliver a humane, quick, and lethal shock.

If you have any further questions or need additional tips, feel free to ask!

I see only one note referencing "fully charged batteries". I assume, therefore, that rechargeable batteries are permissible. Rechargeable batteries usually have a lessor voltage (1.25v) than Alkaline batteries (1.5v).Will this make the trap less efficient at killing mice or shorter functioning time?
Question by: Fred on Nov 21, 2024, 8:09 PM
Hello Fred, thank you for reaching out to us. Do NOT use rechargeable batteries in any of the electronic traps. The battery voltage of rechargeable is usually far lower than alkaline (1.2V vs. 1.6V per cell – for 4 batteries 4.8V vs 6.4V), they also tend to self-discharge at a faster pace. The trap’s ability to dispatch a Rodent is directly tied to the voltage of the batteries. A small reduction in battery voltage has a drastic effect on the trap’s output voltage. Therefore, when using rechargeable batteries the likelihood of compromising the trap performance is high.

The directions say when a mouse is caught the green light will flash for one week does that deplete the batteries very fast.? Thanks

Question by: James K on Nov 25, 2025, 11:32 AM
Yes, the longer the light remains on, the faster the batteries will drain.
