Description

Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap - 5 Traps

Unlike traditional snap traps, the Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap uses a high-voltage, quick and humane shock that kills the mouse in seconds. The Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap is as efficient as it is effective, killing one mouse per setting and 100 mice per set of 4 “AA” batteries (not included). This trap offers a 100% kill rate – meaning there are no escapes and you can rid yourself of a small rodent problem in one single night. Includes 5 traps.

Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap - 5 Traps

The Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap uses advanced smart circuit technology to sense when a mouse enters the trap. Once inside, the mouse is held in place by the trap’s patented tunnel design and beveled columns. This eliminates any chance of bait theft and enables a 100% kill rate. When the mouse steps onto the metal plates, it completes the circuit and the trap delivers a humane, high-voltage shock. Each time the trap catches a mouse, the indicator light on top flashes green for up to seven days.

Easy to Use

Using the Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap is easy. Simply bait, place, and turn on. Do not allow bait or any other material to contact the metal plates, as this will falsely trip the system. A green light will blink once, and a short buzzing sound indicates the trap is working properly. If the batteries are low, a red light will blink to let you know they need replaced. Once a mouse has been caught, simply open the lid and dump the mouse into the trash without having to see or touch the body.

Indicator Light

A green light will blink once, and a short buzzing sound indicates the trap is working properly. If the batteries are low, a red light will blink to let you know they need to be replaced. Once a mouse has been caught, simply open the lid and dump the mouse into the trash without having to see or touch the body. And at 100 mice per set of 4 “AA” batteries, this trap is as efficient as it is effective.

Acceptable for Use around Children and Pets

The Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap features a covered tunnel design and built-in safety switch that automatically deactivates the trap whenever the lid on top of trap is opened. And because it doesn’t use poisons or chemicals, the trap is safe to use anywhere indoors and perfect for houses with children and pets.

The Victor Electronic Mouse Trap is Easy to Use. Here’s How:

  1. Remove the battery cover.
  2. Insert 4 “AA” batteries.
  3. Replace the battery cover.
  4. Open the lid on the electronic mouse trap. Bait the trap using the bait trough provided. The bait trough is located on the back wall of the trap. Apply a small amount of peanut butter or anything high in protein like chocolate, hazelnut spread, etc. Be sure to use a Q-tip, toothpick or another tool to bait so your scent is not transferred onto the trap. Close the lid on the electronic mouse trap.
  5. Place the trap where you have seen signs of rodent activity or along the wall where rodents primarily travel. The trap should be placed lengthwise against the wall with the entrance hole nearest the wall.
  6. Turn on the trap – a green light will blink once showing the trap is working properly.
  7. A blinking green light will indicate a kill. To dispose of the mouse, simply open the lid and dump the mouse directly into the trash without having to touch the mouse at all. The trap can then be reset or discarded based on personal preference. To reset, just add more bait, place the trap, and turn it on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from need to be checked often Even though I have had good luck catching mice, and I'm happy the kill is quick, the green indicator light either doesn't flash or it only flashes for a short time and I miss it. I've had a couple stinky messes to clean out of the trap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I heard about these traps from a co worker, I had found mice were getting in to my house and couldn't get the sneaky ones in a snap trap so I bought one to try and I am sold on them! they work great! I also like them because you don't have to worry about your pets getting into mouse bait of snapping traps. If they get to the trap and get it open it is deactivated. It is also safe around children for that reason. They are easy to youse and check. Don't have to touch the dead rodent just open the cover and dump it in the trash close the cover and reset the switch and it is ready again. I highly recommend these traps!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Victor Electronic Mouse Traps Are Amazing I brought the Victor Electronic Mouse Traps about three weeks ago when they were running a special for buy 2 get 1 free. I still do not know how mice got into my house but I'm thinking through the garage. To set the trap put in four AA batteries and just add some peanut butter and click the on switch. The mice will go in to get the peanut butter and they are zapped immediately. The green light will blink once something is caught and all you have to do is open trap door and dispose of the body. You never have to touch the actual mouse and reset is just the matter of clicking the switch. To me this is an awesome method because I never see the mouse or have to worry about him dying in the walls and having that awful odor of decay. I would recommend this mouse trap to any and everyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Effective and humane These traps are the best I've found. I bait them with a little peanut butter and they always get the mouse. They last for years and are humane. I hate glue boards and the traps that starve the poor creatures. These kill them as soon as their feet hit plate. I don't want to torture mice. I just want them out of my house. I highly recommend these traps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best mouse control device on the market The Victor Electronic Mousetrap is currently the best designed, most effective, child/pet safest, and truly humane mouse control device on the market. I've tried just about all mouse control devices/poisons on the market over the past 15 years, but none can compete with this device. Victor, Keep up the great work!

Q&A

The first couple days I caught several mice (used peanut butter as bait). But now the mice don't seem interested anymore - I see them running so they are still there and the batteries are still working fine. What am I doing wrong?

Asked by: Qaza
If rodent activity is still being detected in the area but they are not going to the traps, we recommend moving the traps to a new location along a wall where the activity is being seen.

This trap is designed for mice only and is not recommended for outdoor use. We do not have a similar trap for moles. More information about our moles traps can be found using the link below. http://www.victorpest.com/store/mole-and-gopher-control/mole-control

I bought two of these traps, placed brand new batteries in the units, baited and set out overnight.  One trap is blinking red light, the mouse came in and ate all the peanut butter and then left with no shock.  What does a blinking red light indicate?

Asked by: frustratedRL
A blinking red light indicates that the batteries need to be replaced. If receiving this indicator light when using new batteries, we recommend testing the trap with a different set of batteries.

The green LED on my Victor Electronic Mouse Trap was blinking, but no mouse was found inside. I turned it off and on, and the LED started blinking again. What could be the problem?

Asked by: PaulW
We would recommend cleaning the trap. To do so, turn off the trap and remove the batteries. Then, take a damp cloth and wipe off the metal plates inside the trap. After the trap has air dried, insert the batteries and turn it on. Please contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-5-VICTOR (1-855-584-2867) with any additional questions.

FAQs

Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap - Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where do I place the trap?

A: Place the trap along the wall where rodents primarily travel or where you have seen signs of rodent activity. For example, if you have a mouse in your house (super small droppings as compared to rat droppings, which are about the size of half a raisin).

Q: How do I bait it?/What should I use to bait it?

A: To bait the Electronic Mouse Trap, first make sure the trap is turned off. Place the bait along the back wall of the trap in the bait trough provided. We’ve carefully researched and recommend baiting with anything high in protein like peanut butter or hazelnut spread. Place a small amount of bait (the size of a pea) against the back wall of the kill chamber. Be sure to use gloves or a tool to bait so your scent is not transferred onto the trap. Please don’t place the bait or any other material directly on the metal plates as this will falsely trip the system.

Q: How do I clean the trap?

A: Through repeat use and baiting, dust and debris can settle on the metal plates inside the trap, so we recommend that you clean your trap between each use. To clean the trap:

  • Turn the unit to the off position and remove the batteries
  • Wipe the metal plates with a damp cloth (water or unscented dish detergent only)
  • Allow the Electronic Mouse Trap to air dry completely
  • Replace the batteries and turn the unit back on.

Q: Is the buzzing/clicking normal?

A: The buzzing and slight clicking sound with the Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap is normal during the start-up of the trap. When you first turn the trap on, the green light will blink momentarily and then you will hear the buzzing or a slight clicking sound indicating that you trap is working properly and starting up.

Q: Is it reusable?

A: The Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap is reusable. These traps are able to kill up to 100 mice per set of batteries.
