Sweeney’s® Mole & Gopher Granular Repellent – 10LB - 3 Bags
Protect your lawn from moles, gophers, voles, armadillos and other burrowing animals with this powerful, all-natural repellent. The mole pellets contain a concentrated formula of 20% castor oil – twice the industry standard – to effectively drive pests from yards and gardens. Non-toxic and poison free, the repellent is safe to use around children and pets and will not harm grass and plants.
After applying the repellent, water the product into the ground with a sprinkler to activate the granules. This makes the ground smell and taste unpleasant so the pests search for a more favorable environment in which to live.
A cost-effective repellent, each 10- lb bag provides 10,000 sq feet of coverage.

Effective elimination of moles – how it works
Sweeney’s® Mole & Gopher Repellent works by driving moles out of yards and gardens in stages. Avoid treating the entire lawn in one application – this will cause moles to tunnel aimlessly in any direction to try and escape the repellent. Applying the granules over the lawn in stages will steadily herd moles away from your ‘good’ mole-free lawn.
How to apply:
Before applying the repellent, locate the active mole areas to determine which way to move moles out of your yard.
- Day 1, spread the granules over the first area and water-in with a sprinkler for approximately 20 minutes. Watering allows the concentrated granules to penetrate deeply into the lawn.
- Day 2, spread the granules over the second area; water-in the same area as Day 1, plus the second area to get the mole moving. Each day's watering allows granules to penetrate more deeply.
- Day 3, spread granules over the third area. Water-in the same area as Days 1 and 2, plus the third area to keep the mole moving.
- Day 4, spread the granules over the fourth area. Water-in the same area as Days 1, 2, and 3, plus the fourth area to move the mole out of your yard!
Hint: Punch holes in mole tunnels at 5 foot intervals and shake a small amount of granules directly into the tunnel and close the hole.

Review RateResults prove it works
I started losing plants last year including periwinkle, nandinas and even a 6 foot crape myrtle. One day I saw a vole crawl out from under the deck, cut off a hosta leaf and drag it back under the deck. The war was on! Applied Sweeney's mole and gopher repellant last November and this February and May. All plants are making a recovery now. You can't argue with these kind of results.
Review Ratetunnelling halted
florida lawn being excavated by armadillos. it took repeated applications, but the tunnelling slowed down and eventually stopped. applying sweeney's is easy; resodding a lawn is hard. thanks, sweeneys.
Review RateGood product
Put it down as per instructions. So far so good. We are surrounded by woods so this will have to be a regular maintenance for the future.
Review RateGreat product
Great deal! Works great we have been using this for years to chase the voles out of our yard.
Review RateExcellent results
Applied before a nice soaking rain and this stuff works. Within one week all mole activity had disappeared! Had been trying traps and poison-not successful. Not certain where the moles went but they are no longer in my yard.

Review RateSweeney is working for me
I have been battening moles for several years, I think I finally am winning the battle. I have figured out that the hey is keeping the Sweeneys in the ground, and the more it rains the more often I have to apply. Our biggest problem is that our entire yard is probably a 10 to 15 degree slope, thus after a gully washer rain I always re-apply. It must be working because other lawns in our area which are un-treated, all have tons of mole activity. I do notice occasionally new activity into the yard from the outskirts, then a day or two later it disappears, so apparently they don't like the taste of our lawn anymore !
Review RateEasy Application
So far, we are seeing results by using this product. We have an acre lawn so it's taken a while to treat it. We love the fact it's not harmful to children and pets. Takes that worry away!
Review RateMagic bullet
I've been at war with moles in my yard for the past few years. This year, for whatever reason, was particularly bad since they moved from the backyard into my pristine front yard. They started in one corner and cotinued to make their way across my yard ruining years of my hard work. Like everyone says, "I tried everything and nothing worked". I tried Sweeney's granules last year with no success, but in retrospect, I didn't really follow the instructions. Consequently, out of desperation, I tried again. This time I followed the instructions, and it worked. However, the most important message to your customers would be to be patient! Results are NOT immediate, but after 2-3 days it was if there was a line the moles wouldn't cross. It's been about a month now, and I haven't had any new mole activity in the treated areas. Now I can focus my efforts on re-seeding and repairing the damage done. I intend to repeat application of Sweeney's granules every month as a way to keep the moles away for good. Thank you.
