Q.Will this trap also kill mice ?
A.

While this trap may kill some mice, it is designed to accomodate the size of rats, and will not be as effective in controlling mice. If you wish to eliminate mice, we recommend using the Smart-Kill™ Wi-Fi Electronic Mouse Trap (M1) for best results.

Q.What do I clean the metal plates with once a kill has been made? There is fur, etc stuck to the metal plates.

The life of the batteries when the trap is 'waiting for a kill' will vary significantly depending on the brand and type of battery as well as the temperature.

Q.I bought 2 traps but both keep having “network error” messages when attempting to connect to the Victor WI-FI. What could be the problem?
A.

There are several reasons a trap would display that error during setup. Please contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-5-VICTOR (1-855-584-2867) for assistance.

Q.Do I have to have internet to use the trap? We don't have internet here. I do have a smart phone.

Q.When I check the trap status on my phone it simply says "Last Activity". What does this mean? Are the rats eating the bait and not getting shocked?
A.

The app will show you the last recorded activity that the trap experienced. This could be a catch, or low batteries. If neither of these occur, the trap will still check in with the app every 24 hours to make sure it is still connected. This would also be reflected as the "last activity".

Q.Please tell me which electronic zapper type rat traps can be put outside along the foundation of the house (we have a four foot overhang) IN ADDITION TO inside.
A.

Our electronic traps are intended for indoor use only.

Snap traps are often a good option for use outdoors.
