Q.Just bought the Smart-Kill Rat Trap and have set it up without issue (hopefully), just wondering if there is any way we can test the 'zap' function? I don't see a 'Test' button & no mention in the little manual that came with it. Do I just assume that it will zap?
A.

We do not have any recommendations for testing these traps. If the unit's light flashes when the unit is turned on, the trap is functioning.

Q.We purchased the Victor smart-kill M2 model for killing rats. Having difficulty accessing the kill Chamber. Any tips? We tried stabilizing the base and sliding back the top half but it seems to not slide more than 1/16th of an inch. Thanksn84k
A.

To gain access to the kill chamber, we recommend holding the base of the trap with your left hand and sliding the top backwards with your right hand about one inch. The top can then be lifted away.

Q.I can not tell if the WiFi trap is connected in the app for iPhone. I powered the trap off and the information is the same. How can I tell from the app that the trap is powered up and connected to WiFi? Or does it push updates like battery power once a day....
A.

The trap will communicate with the app once per day to reestablish conenction with the WiFi. It will not be communicating with the the trap any other time, unless it is giving a notification of a kill or battery alert.

Q.Will there be a desktop app (Mac & Windows) for receiving trap notifications?
A.

Currently, the app is designed for mobile devices only.

Q.Will the trap kill my dogs if they stick their nose in the trap? Obviously, I’m going to try to prevent this, but the ideal mouse trail locations for the trap in my home are also accessible by the dogs. My dogs are larger, so only the tip of their nose could possibly fit. Thank you.
A.

In order for the trap to activate, two metal plates need to be touched at the same time. We have not tested this trap on dogs, but recommend traps be placed in locations out of the reach of pets and children.
