Weak system By Lilly

I’ve had this trap for about 6 months and the first (and only) rat catch was super successful! However, I’ve noticed an increase in the amount of rats that I’m hearing at night and no more catches. I’ve tried replacing the batteries and making sure that the electronic buzzer still works (it does) but the buzzing sound is faint. I’m assuming it’s strength has depleted for some reason and I’m close to resorting to old fashioned snap traps. Any suggestions would help!

The buzzing sound can be very faint even if the trap is working fine. If the rats are not taking the bait, try using a different bait and changing the placement of the trap. If the bait is being taken, it may be that mice are taking the bait - they are small enough that they might not trigger the trap when they enter.

Doesn't last very long By Jimmy

Bought the trap in Oct 2018. Killed one mouse. Installed it at a customer's house last month. The rats cleaned the trap out, twice. We cleaned the trap, replaced the batteries and checked that it was actually arcing (it was). He got a message stating there was a kill. Trap was cleaned out yet again. Unfortunately, it is out of warranty. My guess is that the capacitor is of inferior quality. I would love to use these traps as part of my business but the cost is too high considering the longevity of the product.

These traps are most effective when non-rechargeable batteries are used. It's also important to not overbait the traps since overbaiting can cause the trap to falsely trigger. Not working at this point By Flakie

Not sure it works. Setup was easy, but so far I have had the food in the trap eaten twice but rodent caught or killed.

You need 2.4 GHz WiFi By Amber

I got through the wifi set up process and kept receiving the error “access denied bad request”. Called customer service and apparently you have to have 2.4 GHz network, not 5 GHz or dual. Would have been nice to know in the product description and/or instruction manual what type of network you need to have in order for the trap to connect to. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning the product and buying the non-WiFi version.
