Can be improved By folkeorg

First trap kept on being a few minutes too late to send message to server = the app was pushing offline-alerts every day. Really annoying as the trap was alive and well but its internal clock too slow. The server should wait 25h before sending alert. That trap was replaced on warranty. Second trap caught four mice but sent six "Rodent caught" i.e. two mice managed to get away alive. So the statement on the homepage "High-voltage shock offers 100% kill rate" is not correct. There should be a check if there is a mice-body still in the trap e.g. by checking if it can be zapped again (lying over the plates) or by a sensor detecting a blockage in the "aisle". I.e. one alert that there was a initial zap and another alert that there is a confirmed kill.

kill chamber not replaceable By deadmau5

It worked well, caught rodents, and alerted me. The kill chamber was damaged when emptying it (plastic cracked around the bait area) so it no longer would require the rodents to walk into the kill chamber to seek the bait -- they could have just eaten the bait from the outside. Unfortunately the kill chamber is not replaceable, while on the non-wifi version of this trap it is. This means I have to throw away the entire unit, including the electronics / wifi, which is very wasteful and also costly. It would be 5* if only there were replaceable kill chambers, so I could just replace that part of it and not the whole thing, like the m250 (the non wifi electronic trap) has.

Just got a Bad Trap (Other Ones Works Great!) By MB

The packaging the trap came in had a fuel smell. I aired out the trap and threw out the packaging. After numerous tries the trap ended up eating up 2 set of batteries (to the tune of about $20). It would not stay connected (24 hours without communications). I added an additional WiFi point but that made no difference. I think this was just a bad trap, as the other trap I have works perfectly. I have requested a replacement trap. I also have 2 non-WiFi electronic traps that work very well.

So so By Specialed

Not well thought out customization of the menus- either on or off. Once said activity but no mouse. Called victor and no help answering. Did catch mouse x2 but text was delayed for two hrs- then noticed a notification. So works ok but really should have a little more tech customization included- sounds , what’s on and what’s off -

Critical info omitted from Smart-Kill Wifi Elecktronic mouse trap instruction manual By JHF3

Smart kill electronic mouse trap seemed to work great. Setup was easy; just followed directions in instruction pamphlet. Set trap at 11:30 pm; got message that mouse was caught at 6:17am. Wonder if alkaline batteries are better than rechargeable, because newly charged 2300 mAh rechargeable batteries went to 48% charge when set trap and then to 39% after Mouse was caught. UPDATE 9/13/19: Correction: Mouse was NOT caught this morning. Mouse poop and urine were in trap, but no mouse. Per my phoncon w/Ken at 855-5-VICTOR, batteries were probable cause. Why didn't the instruction manual mention this? (When I put in brand new CVS MAX Alkaline batteries, their charge is 93%.) And why can't I get text message alerts? Not happy that I need to reload the trap and hope mouse doesn't avoid it this time!
