Critical info omitted from Smart-Kill Wifi Elecktronic mouse trap instruction manual By JHF3

Smart kill electronic mouse trap seemed to work great. Setup was easy; just followed directions in instruction pamphlet. Set trap at 11:30 pm; got message that mouse was caught at 6:17am. Wonder if alkaline batteries are better than rechargeable, because newly charged 2300 mAh rechargeable batteries went to 48% charge when set trap and then to 39% after Mouse was caught. UPDATE 9/13/19: Correction: Mouse was NOT caught this morning. Mouse poop and urine were in trap, but no mouse. Per my phoncon w/Ken at 855-5-VICTOR, batteries were probable cause. Why didn't the instruction manual mention this? (When I put in brand new CVS MAX Alkaline batteries, their charge is 93%.) And why can't I get text message alerts? Not happy that I need to reload the trap and hope mouse doesn't avoid it this time!
