Victor® TIN CAT® Mouse Trap with Window

Eliminate mice problems with this Victor® TIN CAT® mouse trap with window. Designed for humane catch and release of mice, it holds up to 30 rodents at once. The convenient clear window allows for easy viewing of trapped pests, and the sturdy lid opens for easy, offsite release. The slim metal construction is suitable for indoor or outdoor use, and since it contains no poisons, it can be used safely around children, pets, and food.

Large Catch Capacity

Large Catch Capacity

The TIN CAT® allows for nonlethal capturing of mice so they can be released back into the wild. This trap can hold up to 30 mice at once, so it’s great for tackling large infestations. It can also be paired with a set of pre-baited Victor® glue boards, which fit seamlessly into the trap, and can help prevent unwanted escapes. To release mice, just add a bit of olive oil to the glue, and the mouse should be able to free itself.

How to Use

To set up the TIN CAT® mouse trap with window, follow these easy instructions:

  1. Set the bait: Provide a dab of peanut butter or a small bit of cheese.
  2. Place trap: Set the TIN CAT® along a wall or next to a hole where mice have been located or identified; mouse droppings are a good indicator.
  3. Check: Using the clear window, check at a glance whether mice have been captured.
  4. Release: When the trap is full, release the captives into the wild at an offsite location while following local guidelines for releasing captured animals.

Convenient Viewing Window

Easy Monitoring

This TIN CAT® Mouse Trap comes equipped with a transparent window on top to provide a clear view of the pests inside. This lets technicians or others in the vicinity know when it’s time to empty the trap. All it takes is a quick glance to know if one mouse or multiple mice have been captured. The trap also includes a designated space for technicians to record monitoring data. To release mice, just add a bit of olive oil to the glue, and the mouse should be able to free itself.

Low-Profile Design

This mouse trap’s low-profile structure lets you place it inconspicuously in indoor and outdoor areas of your home. The slim shape of the TIN CAT® fits under furniture, in drop ceilings and raised floors. It can also be used outdoors to prevent mice from making their way inside.

Indoor or Outdoor Low-Profile Design

We had an infestation of mice in our garage killed over a dozen with snap traps, did not like killing especially when a couple of them got caught and did not die right away. So we decided to purchase three Tin cats caught two mice in less than three hours in one trap, we live in the woods and I took them about a mile away so far no more mice.

So far have not got any mouse or rat. Either they are smart or I got rid of some of them with the glue pads (got three)

Tin Cat Traps are a Useless Disappointment

I bought 6 in Cat traps. I wore gloves when I opened each trap and then washed the trap with rubbing alcohol, and let the trap air dry. I have not caught even one mouse with these traps and I am very disappointed because they cost me $100. I gave up after 7 days and bought some Victor Easy Set Traps and caught mice right away. I hav left the Tin Cat traps and still have not caught one mouse while the Easy Set Traps do catch mice. Now I am stuck with 6 useless Tin Cat traps

We're sorry to hear you haven't seen the success that's typical of this trap. With live traps it is important to check the traps frequently as mice will go to great lengths to escape. For assistance with these traps, please contact us at 855-584-2867, we're happy to help.

These catch mice like crazy ! OMG the mice are very eager to go into the trap.. I put a smear of peanut butter and a few kibbles of cat food as bait. Be sure to release the mice as soon as possible as they have no water or food...they will die soon if you don't !!! I wish mice weren't so darn cute ! I totally recommend these traps.

Catches ALOT of mice....I'm amazed how well they work. Set on paper...the small holes on the bottom of trap could allow mouse pee to leak thru .

This hasn't worked at all. Not one mouse. And there are feces all around the trap, just to taunt me. I've baited it with peanut butter, both inside and a little on the upper part of the ramp to hopefully lure them in. I know they like PB because I've left it out for them in the past (without a trap) and they've eaten it. I've tried the trap in two of the places where I know they like to hang out (because I've seen them there), and not one mouse. Not even a little one. And there are plenty here. So. Not happy at all with this. Just relieved it wasn't terribly expensive or I'd be really upset.

The perfect solution

This trap could not have worked any better for my issue. I had about 7 mice living in my basement. This trap along with some cheese, allowed me to catch and release them all without harm. The trap worked daily until they were all relocated. One thing is to make sure you check / empty it every 12 hours so not to cause the animals stress. One little guy had rubbed a raw spot on his nose trying to get out. Overall this device is perfect. Thank you.

If we let them loose, won't they just come right back in!!? My dad used to catch squirrels and bring them several miles away to release. Lol...

We recommend releasing mice at least one mile away across a natural barrier such as a river or stream.
Waste of money

The mouse we were trying to catch easily exited from the tin cat. Finally caught it with a small Hav-a-Heart trap.

I load the trap with a chunk of TomCat poison and add some Peanut Butter or some bird seed as bait and it works. Once they chew on the poison, they die quickly! I caught a salamander too!
