Victor® Black Box Gopher Trap - 3 Traps
When you see gopher holes popping up in your yard, you'll want to have one of these on hand. The Victor® Black Box Gopher Trap effectively kills gophers without the use of chemicals or poisons. The choker loop-style trap features weather-resistant plastic and galvanized steel construction for superior strength and durability.
Additionally, each trap is easy to use thanks to its EASY-SET® design. The trap comes fully assembled and comes with illustrated operating instructions on setting and placement. As the most effective gopher trap on the market, you can rest assured that your yard is safe from the damaging effects of gophers.
Gopher trapping can be done at any time of year, but generally is easiest and most effective during Spring & Fall. Once gopher activity is detected it is important to move quickly as pregnant females can be caught before giving birth to her family.
Traps are most effective when properly placed in the gopher tunnel to snare the unsuspecting gopher in the spring-triggered loop. The hole should be covered up with dirt so that it appears as if the trap is part of the runway.
When used correctly, traps produce a catch within 48 hours. It is best to move the trap to another location in the runway if you do not catch a gopher in this timeframe.

I've set the trap 6 times. Each time I check on the trap I discover a hole refilled with dirt, and a trap that has fired but is empty. No gophers caught!Response From Victor®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback! We are very sorry for this experience. When placing the trap, it is important to be certain the hole is no larger than the gopher trap and that it is aligned with straight section of the tunnel.

Review RateWorked like a charm
I've used the castor granules in the past, but it didn't deter these gophers. Bought one of these traps and caught one within an hour. I may be in the market for a few more.
Review RateWasted money.
Gophers covered it up with new dirt. Have set out several and not caught any.Response From Victor®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
We recommend placing this whole trap in the gopher tunnel. One trap should be used on either side of the tunnel opening. There is a hole in the back of the trap that the gopher will be able to see sunlight through. When the animal comes towards the light to repair the hole, it will get caught in the trap. Having a trap on either side of the entrance ensures the animal is caught, regardless of what side of the tunnel it is in.

Review RateBest trap on the market
My son is good at digging and finding where the tunnel bifurcates to get proper placement of the Black Box. That gives a successful catch almost every time. Sure, sometimes the sneaky animal will back fill. The recent problem we have is lazy foxes. Instead of skillfully catching the pests for us, they dig up the full trap and take off with it (which is why i just ordered more) ! Cute ! I love that these traps can accomplish what i need without using poisons.
Review Ratethese are amazing and i am ordering more.
we are run over with squirrels coming to pecan trees...even when the nuts are still green on the tree....great job. ordering several more as they love the pomegrante .am ordering more.
Review RateA very smart gopher - or so I thought!
I was using everything I could think of to catch the critter digging a hole under my deck. I put out mouse traps, rat traps, and glue boards in front of the hole; but it would just dig another hole beside the traps, etc. What a smart gopher I thought! Finally I put this trap halfway in the newest hole and next morning it was gone and the other traps were disturbed but nothing was there, so I know something happened. I scouted in the tall grass about 50 feet away, and saw something squealing in the grass with the trap still on. It wasn't a gopher, but a huge rat! It was so big that it didn't even fit in the trap, but it was caught enough to disable the thing. My rifle finished the job. I have also caught several gophers since then. Great product!
Review Rateone of the best gopher traps out on the market
I would first like to say that this trap is one of the best traps for gophers out there. I am an owner of a small business that traps gophers. when I first started I tried everything. This Is one of the best gopher traps out there. I like it so much that I bought 12 of these six packs to add to my collection of traps. My gopher trapping company is now ready to go out there and get the gophers.
Review Rategreatworks great and much longer lived than wooden traps
Review RateStill trying
I give a perfect rating for quality and easy of use of this trap. So far I haven't caught 1 gopher. I have gophers from hell. They are smart and just fill the trap with dirt repeatedly. I've tried potato, carrot and broc.. no bait seams to draw them in. I cannot complain about the actual function and sturdiness of the trap. I will continue my attempt. Dynamite is quickly becoming my next option since I've now done more damage digging holes looking for the tunnels.
Review RateGot them
Did the trick and caught the gophers, problem I had to find them first

Gophers excavate soil from their tunnels, creating large, horseshoe-shaped mounds. Gopher mounds are typically larger than Mole hills with the entrance hole at an angle to the ground surface.
