Victor® Power Kill Rat Trap, 12-Pack
Excellent for controlling rats in apartment buildings, restaurants, offices and other small business establishments.
The latest innovation in rat traps, the Victor® Power Kill Rat Trap is set and released with one simple “click”. This one-step open and close mechanism also makes it easy to cleanly dispose of the rodent with no hand contact.
The trap was designed with a large trough, for easy baiting with any of their favorite foods. The Power Kill’s oversized pedal is easily activated – both by rodent interest in food AND through accidental contact as rats scamper across the floor – to ensure maximum trapping. Once a rodent triggers the pedal, the powerful jaw immediately springs closed for a quick, humane kill on contact.
The clean-trapping Victor® Power Kill Rat Trap delivers effective and immediate rat control - even in hard to reach places. Each powerful rat trap features two holes on the back for attachment to pipes, beams and other hard-to-access places where rats thrive.
Made of highly durable plastic, this rat trap is safe for use around food, water, animals and children and can be reused multiple times to maximize rat control. Victor® Power Kill Rat Traps are the perfect for use in apartment buildings, restaurants, offices and other small business establishments. These rat traps should be placed where rodents travel, such as along walls at 2 to 3 foot intervals.

I live in a rural area and due to my movement between two homes, one in the United Kingdom, there is no way to add a pet dog/cat. Unfortunately, I have been plagued in the past with costly wire repairs for both my car and truck. With some misinformation, I started to hate squirrels with a passion. The last wire repair as the car would not start at all. The mechanic said: I believe your problem is with field rats. Yes, these field rats can grow large, like to make their nests in the engine block area and are quick to pull away at the firewall insulation for nest building material. These were the symptoms I experienced and then, I started to research for a larger trap coming upon the larger Victor Power-Kill Trap. I was very careful as new traps have a plastic smoothness that make them a bit tricky to work with, but I didn't loose any fingers, but did get startled a few times. Finally I got the hang of it and baited these traps and placed them at suspected areas. The next day I inspected the traps and all were intact minus one; it was missing or so I thought.....looking closer, I saw this large dead field rat with its eyes bugged out. I jumped back initially even though I realized it was dead. The rat was large and had pulled the trap under a piece of wood before it expired. So the rat was that strong and in the examination, was a larger adult size. Pulling the Victor Trap out with a stick, I had to get a good grip as the rat carcass was more weight than I expected. I was amazed and grateful that now I can honestly combat these creatures. I read that these vermin can be quite smart and figure how to avoid traps.....well now, it is like a fishing trip with my baiting and rebaiting with fresh peanuts and peanut butter. By the way, if anyone has a better bait for these field rats, please let me know. Well, this is my review.....strange but true....to think that I can deal with a nuisance that operates in the night and can definitely disrupt one's life. Pleased that Victor came to my rescue. Many thanks.Date published: 2016-12-18Rated 5 out of 5 by arivacaboy1 from Good product at a good price! I have had one of these traps for a long time and it worked so well that I just bought four more. They outscore any other traps I have. They almost never miss.Date published: 2016-12-05Rated 5 out of 5 by Scott762mm from Easy to set and use!! I bought this trap today and it was able to extinguish the rodent in my house, at first I thought it was a chipmunk but instead it was just a mouse. I mounted it to a piece of 2x4 for more stability (mounting holes on the trap are pre-drilled for you) well worth the money. Moving forward, I will only buy this trap. The divot hole for the bait makes this trap inescapable. 5 star.Date published: 2016-11-30Rated 5 out of 5 by Carole k from Victor power kill rat trap I bought the rat traps and have had great success. They are easy to operate and easy to bait and I have caught one each time that I have put them out. I'm now realizing that the problem was worse than I thought and I will purchase more of these traps.Date published: 2016-10-18Rated 1 out of 5 by TXRatKiller from Does Not Kill I bought one of these with a couple of the good ole Wooden Ones and the first night I got 2 dead rats with the wooden ones and the second night I CAUGHT a rat with the Power-Kill trap but it did not kill him...I don't think there is enough power in these traps to kill big rats, I ended up having to shoot the rat in the head with a pellet gun because I was afraid the thing was gonna get out and I did not want to listen to him flop around all night...all in all, a very un-nerving night!! Bottom line use the Wooden Traps...they work and KILL every time and are cheaper too!Date published: 2016-09-16Rated 1 out of 5 by Rhonda from Caused suffering We have been using this trap on our property and have killed about 10 rats with it. I did notice a couple of times that the deceased rat had managed to move several feet before dying, so wondered how long they dying had taken. This morning at 4 a.m., I went out and checked the trap (insomnia). I assumed a rat had just been trapped, as it seemed to be in its death throes. It was not a huge rat. When I checked back at 10 a.m., it was still alive and SUFFERING! I managed to release it but was not able to finish it off with my shovel. I felt absolutely terrible that the poor creature had suffered for 6 hours or more. I don't believe the kill bar is strong enough to cause an instant, humane death, as it is only retracted to a 90 degree angle. I have purchased 2 old-fashioned Victor traps, where the kill bar is at 180 degrees. I will try to set them tonight and hope for better results. This experience has been sickening.Date published: 2016-08-30Rated 1 out of 5 by joey from sorry I bought these These seemed to be such a good idea, but so many times have left rats caught in a cruel way still lingering on...unless, they get the food and get away altogether. The wooden traps are better in our opinion. The black metal electric are the very best of all.Date published: 2016-07-18Rated 5 out of 5 by frightwing from 2 for 2 I bought two last night, baited with sunflower seeds.
