Victor® Fly Ribbon

Victor® Fly Ribbon is the #1 fly ribbon on the market! Consumers appreciate its ability to control flies, mosquitoes and other flying insects without the use of poisons or vapors. And to top it off, it's a no mess, no fuss fly trap (no baiting needed!)

Directions for Use:

  1. Bring to room temperature before opening by holding trap in your hand while making a fist for several minutes prior to attempting to open.
  2. Grasp cord in one hand; grasp tube in the other.
  3. Pull out cord slowly while turning tube in a counterclockwise (twirling) motion.
  4. Cap will pop out. Remove thumbtack from top of cap and save for hanging.
  5. Discard cap.
  6. Remove completely from tube or let tube dangle from strip as an anchor. Hang with thumbtack or cord.
  7. When strip is full or controlling flies is achieved, remove from hanging device and discard.

Note: In case of contact with sticky material, wash hands with soap and water. Avoid placing traps in dusty areas as this will cause the glue to lose its adhesive qualities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely the BEST We have flies and all kinds of small flying creatures and this ribbon catches them all. Have been using Victor Fly Ribbons for many years and they have been consistent in their quality and performance of product. Additionally, there's no odor emitted from the ribbon. Worth every penny. Their Customer Service is A1.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ribbon Continues to Twist I have used the Fly Catcher ribbon for years and realize it does not attract flies, the flies simply land on it. I have been pleased with the product in the past, but this year the ribbon continues to twist up regardless of what I do to straighten it. If the product has changed in some way, please return it to the way it was. Thanks!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Victor Fly Catcher I bought the fly catcher this past weekend thinking it would solve the fly problem. We had many guests and our doors were opened and closed many times. I hung them beside the door and guess what? They didn't catch one fly. What a waste of money!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review Posted on Amazon.com We have three horses and despite meticulously kept stalls and paddocks, we still have the fly problem from hell. Living in the high desert, it's not uncommon for anywhere that has ANY source of water and warm, moving flesh to be inundated. We bought a trap that smells like a rotting carcass that is kept about 50 feet from the barn, and it does work, but these fly strips have been AMAZING. We hang them in the eaves of the roof in each horse's area and they fill up pretty quickly. We've noticed a marked difference in the number of flies -- it's probably about a quarter of what it was before the strips. They're not pretty and they're pretty archaic, but I love the fact that we're not poisoning the area our horses are living in.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Review Posted on Amazon.com I was at my wit's end with the spontaneous fly "situation" that has developed in my place. As a) I live indoors; and b) I have pets, I wanted a solution that was non-toxic and non-horrifically-stinky. I found the answer with these Victor fly ribbons, which even come packaged with a thumbtack for you to use to fasten them to the ceiling. The fly ribbons are ugly as sin--more so when dotted with flies--but they really do work well. I've had great luck trapping both fruit flies and "larger" flies alike. Be careful to avoid touching the sticky ribbon with your hands, as it takes some effort to wash off the goo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review Posted on Amazon.com This works well, I'd recommend it. It's not a miracle worker and you should try to do your best to eliminate whatever is attracting the flies in the first place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review Posted on Amazon.com We have a barn with six horses and our barn was about to fly away. Had tried fly sprays, fly predators, etc. etc. so out of desperation decided to try the sticky catchers. Within 24 hours 8 ribbons were full! Didn't have the problem of tearing that other users described....you just can't get in a hurry when unrolling and it helps if the traps are warm. Excellent product and we like the fact that they are safe. Horses are happy too.

Q&A

Great product! The only problem is when a pet gets stuck in it....Any suggestions on what to use to remove the sticky stuff from cat fur? We already tried soap and water, scissors, pulling hair off. We still have a very unhappy sticky cat.

Asked by: Mary67
Thank you for this response! Vegetable oil worked great to get the sticky stuff off our puppy!
