Victor® Fly Ribbon
Victor® Fly Ribbon is the #1 fly ribbon on the market! Consumers appreciate its ability to control flies, mosquitoes and other flying insects without the use of poisons or vapors. And to top it off, it's a no mess, no fuss fly trap (no baiting needed!)
Directions for Use:
- Bring to room temperature before opening by holding trap in your hand while making a fist for several minutes prior to attempting to open.
- Grasp cord in one hand; grasp tube in the other.
- Pull out cord slowly while turning tube in a counterclockwise (twirling) motion.
- Cap will pop out. Remove thumbtack from top of cap and save for hanging.
- Discard cap.
- Remove completely from tube or let tube dangle from strip as an anchor. Hang with thumbtack or cord.
- When strip is full or controlling flies is achieved, remove from hanging device and discard.
Note: In case of contact with sticky material, wash hands with soap and water. Avoid placing traps in dusty areas as this will cause the glue to lose its adhesive qualities.

Review RateIt works, just gotta place them where the flies goThese work, they need to placed strategically where the flies go.
You need to watch what paths the flies move along and place them in their way.
I like to hang them on my florescent tube, one at each end as the flies are attracted to the lights or hang em near the garbage cans.
Also you need to unfold the strip straight by placing some weight in the tube to make them hang down.
Think like a fly and place them where the flies go even if it means placing them low, they work.
If you want to elemination the problem then you have to remove their food source and water.
That includes juice left in bottles, on countertops or plates, food particles or juices left in mops or rags or even your drains. They go down in there to the water and crud buildup to nest in the overflow piping.
So all this stuff needs to be rinsed and cleaned thoroughly everyday and after eating and food preparation to cut down on the infestation.
Wash them pop bottles and beer cans out after use.
Review RateNO MAGNETISMHeat and humidity drew many flies into the house this past week. Hung the Fly Magnet in 2 locations - Did not attract one fly. Didn't work for me!Response From Victor®Patty : Consumer Relations RepresentativeWe appreciate the time taken to provide this feedback and apologize for the experience.
Our Victor® Fly Ribbon does not contain any attractants to lure the flies to the trap. When a fly lands on the trap, it becomes stuck and will eventually die. The ribbon does not contain any poisons or vapors that kill the flies.

Review RateRibbon Continues to TwistI have used the Fly Catcher ribbon for years and realize it does not attract flies, the flies simply land on it. I have been pleased with the product in the past, but this year the ribbon continues to twist up regardless of what I do to straighten it. If the product has changed in some way, please return it to the way it was. Thanks!
Review RateVictor Fly CatcherI bought the fly catcher this past weekend thinking it would solve the fly problem. We had many guests and our doors were opened and closed many times. I hung them beside the door and guess what? They didn't catch one fly. What a waste of money!
Review RateReview Posted on Amazon.comWe have three horses and despite meticulously kept stalls and paddocks, we still have the fly problem from hell. Living in the high desert, it's not uncommon for anywhere that has ANY source of water and warm, moving flesh to be inundated. We bought a trap that smells like a rotting carcass that is kept about 50 feet from the barn, and it does work, but these fly strips have been AMAZING. We hang them in the eaves of the roof in each horse's area and they fill up pretty quickly. We've noticed a marked difference in the number of flies -- it's probably about a quarter of what it was before the strips. They're not pretty and they're pretty archaic, but I love the fact that we're not poisoning the area our horses are living in.
Review RateReview Posted on Amazon.comI was at my wit's end with the spontaneous fly "situation" that has developed in my place. As a) I live indoors; and b) I have pets, I wanted a solution that was non-toxic and non-horrifically-stinky. I found the answer with these Victor fly ribbons, which even come packaged with a thumbtack for you to use to fasten them to the ceiling. The fly ribbons are ugly as sin--more so when dotted with flies--but they really do work well. I've had great luck trapping both fruit flies and "larger" flies alike. Be careful to avoid touching the sticky ribbon with your hands, as it takes some effort to wash off the goo.
Review RateReview Posted on Amazon.comThis works well, I'd recommend it. It's not a miracle worker and you should try to do your best to eliminate whatever is attracting the flies in the first place.
