Victor® Catch & Hold Mice Trap - 4 Traps

This 4-trap offer of the Victor® Catch & Hold Mice Trap can handle your mouse-catching needs. Designed for indoor or outdoor use, each trap can lure and contain up to four mice before it needs to be emptied for further use. These live traps contain no poisons or snapping parts, making them ideal for use at your home or business where they may be set near water, food, children or pets.

Simple 3-Step Method

  1. Bait – Put a little bit of peanut butter inside.
  2. Place – Set the trap down wherever your mice are known to travel.
  3. Release – When full, follow your local authority’s guidelines for the release of captured animals back into the wild. The emptied traps may then be reused as many times as needed till you no longer have a problem.

Combine for Greater Capacity and Improved Effectiveness

Enhance the efficiency of these traps by using all 4 to improve the odds of eliminating your mouse problem in less time. With 4 traps that can each hold 4 mice, you can catch up to 16 mice at a time before having to reset them!

Convenient Indoor and Outdoor Design

Used inside your home or business, this trap will catch the rodents that have already made their way inside. But if you are able to determine where they may have gained access from, placing one outdoors will help keep more from entering until you can effectively block the point of entry.

No-Touch, Non-Lethal Rodent Solution

Does a dead mouse make you squeamish? With the Catch & Hold mice trap you do not have to kill, or even touch, the captive critters, which may be returned to the wild once the trap is full. Follow local guidelines and only release them in areas where it is allowed.

Victor® – Innovative Rodent Control Solutions from the Company You’ve Trusted for Over 115 Years.

Did not work By Brian

This product did not work for me. After peanut butter as bait and following the directions precisely, I tried for several days to catch a mouse. I had caught others in the same location with the same bait in a conventional trap, but I prefer not to kill the mice. After not having success, I tried baiting the ramp with small amounts of peanut butter also, and found that the mice would eat the peanut butter bits from the ramp, but would not enter the trap for the rest of the bait. I have now switched back to conventional traps, unfortunately.

Hello Brian, We are very sorry to hear about this experience and appreciate the time taken to provide this feedback. Adding bait to the ramp will usually lure a reluctant mouse into the trap. Our Consumer Relation Team will be glad to provide assistance. We can be reached at 1-855-5-VICTOR (1-855-584-2867). Our traps are covered by a one year replacement warranty.

very good trap By tfuhrman2
This caught the first mouse in 1 night. Be sure the top is on correctly. I set a small piece of brick on top just to be sure. Use bait that they are already eating. Peaches n garden veggies here. Here in AZ some mice carry deadly hanta virus so releasing is not an option. But to get them out of the trap without much danger to you or the mouse you can do it in a 5 gal bucket half full of water as mice float, swim and dive very well. Just practice so you are quick. The trap only need be just under the water. Then just tip the bucket over. Remember PRACTICE any release technique so you wont harm the mouse nor the mouse harm you! They do bite and scratch!

Does not work!! By Robin
We bought this trap because we didn't want to kill the mouse, just remove it from my house. We caught the first mouse just fine but the second mouse chewed his way through the thin plastic. The trap is now ruined after 2 days of buying it. I would not recommend this product.

Exactly what I wanted!! By Animals are people 2
I totally refuse to kill animals! Any animal! I have used traps like these before but they didn't have air holes and if you didn't check daily the mice could die from asphyxiation. Since this is a business mice caught over the weekend would be in bad shape by Monday. These traps are big enough to put some food and cotton soaked in water.
I received my traps in very short time too! Great price as well!!

Excellent. It works. I highly recommend it By acerSaccharum
I put the trap out at night on the day I bought it and used peanut butter for the bait. The next morning, there was a mouse inside. I released it very far away from our home. Releasing the mouse is safe and easy to do. That same night, I put the trap out again and the next morning, there was another mouse inside. I again released it far away from our house.

This is an ingenious mouse trap. I bought it because there were so many good reviews. I also had to find out how it worked as to being such an effective trap. The design and operation of this trap is amazing. This is one of the most effective products I’ve ever bought regardless of price.

Before using the trap, read Victor’s tips about how to capture mice more effectively. I found out, for example, that you prevent a human scent from being put on the trap if you use gloves. There are other good tips as well.

Wonderful Product By
We just moved into a house that had been vacant for two years when we moved in. We have been using the snap traps because I couldn't find a humane trap in our location that I wanted to spend the 25.00-30.00, our mice seem really intelligent and are really hard to catch.. I found this one for 5.00 at walmart and thought "Okay, I will give that a shot." we put it out and had two mice in it this morning! I am so pleased that I will be buying more! Thank you for putting this out at an affordable price. I used to have pet mice when I was younger, so it really has been heavy on my heart to have to hurt them..

Q.How do you apply the bait?

You just put a dab of bait (e.g. peanut butter) inside in the corner. There should be a little place where it says "bait here." It's in the corner furthest away from the entrance of the trap.

Q.How does Model M333 work. Do I put something inside? What does slide open and bait mean?

The lid of the trap slides open so bait can be placed in the larger are inside the trap. Slide the lid back in place and the trap is ready to go! Mice will enter the trap but will be unable to exit due to the see-saw mechanism that operates the door.

Q. Do I need to clean the trap and rebait it or will the mice still use it with mice droppings still in the peanut butter?

Mice may still use the trap, however we recommend cleaning the trap with warm water and unscented dish soap, and re-baiting with fresh peanut butter.

Victor®  Live Traps - Expert Tips

  • Location, Location, Location!

The most important rule for the effective use of traps is good trap placement location based on thorough inspections to determine the high-activity areas of rodents.

  • Number of Traps

The most common trapping mistake is using of too few traps. For only a couple of mice, a dozen traps are not too many. For severe mouse infestations, traps should be placed close together in double sets in areas of high activity.

  • Importance of the First Night

Statistics show that more mice are trapped on the first night than on any other night.

  • Offer Multiple Bait Choices

When many rodents are involved, different types of baits should be used. Individuals in a rodent population forage for different types of food.

Victor®  Glue Traps - Frequently Asked Questions

glue trap, victor glue trap, rat glue trap

Q: How many of mice are born at once? How do I know that I've trapped them all?

A: It’s practically impossible to tell when you've trapped them all. You should continue to trap as long as you see mice or notice signs of activity. The most apparent sign of an infestation is fresh droppings.

Q: What is the most common mistake in trapping?

A: The true number of rodents present is underestimated. As a result, not enough traps are used. Although you have killed a few rodents, the remainder of the population continues to multiply.
