Victor® Catch & Hold Mice Trap - 4 Traps
This 4-trap offer of the Victor® Catch & Hold Mice Trap can handle your mouse-catching needs. Designed for indoor or outdoor use, each trap can lure and contain up to four mice before it needs to be emptied for further use. These live traps contain no poisons or snapping parts, making them ideal for use at your home or business where they may be set near water, food, children or pets.
Simple 3-Step Method
- Bait – Put a little bit of peanut butter inside.
- Place – Set the trap down wherever your mice are known to travel.
- Release – When full, follow your local authority’s guidelines for the release of captured animals back into the wild. The emptied traps may then be reused as many times as needed till you no longer have a problem.
Combine for Greater Capacity and Improved Effectiveness
Enhance the efficiency of these traps by using all 4 to improve the odds of eliminating your mouse problem in less time. With 4 traps that can each hold 4 mice, you can catch up to 16 mice at a time before having to reset them!
Convenient Indoor and Outdoor Design
Used inside your home or business, this trap will catch the rodents that have already made their way inside. But if you are able to determine where they may have gained access from, placing one outdoors will help keep more from entering until you can effectively block the point of entry.
No-Touch, Non-Lethal Rodent Solution
Does a dead mouse make you squeamish? With the Catch & Hold mice trap you do not have to kill, or even touch, the captive critters, which may be returned to the wild once the trap is full. Follow local guidelines and only release them in areas where it is allowed.

Be sure the top is on correctly. I set a small piece of brick on top just to be sure. Use bait that they are already eating. Peaches n garden veggies here. Here in AZ some mice carry deadly hanta virus so releasing is not an option. But to get them out of the trap without much danger to you or the mouse you can do it in a 5 gal bucket half full of water as mice float, swim and dive very well. Just practice so you are quick. The trap only need be just under the water. Then just tip the bucket over. Remember PRACTICE any release technique so you wont harm the mouse nor the mouse harm you! They do bite and scratch!Date published: 2016-07-24Rated 4 out of 5 by louise from caught 3 so far My female mouser cat died and our male cat is useless! Late one night I saw a field mouse cross the kitchen to eat from the cat's dish as he lounged there watching... My very old aluminum live catch traps were no longer reliable, so I ordered these dozen from Victor Pest, following their admonition that the first few days are prime catching time and there are probably many more than you see. At first had some problems trying to figure out how ramps and doors needed to be set, but my husband got them assembled (some clearly written instructions and diagram would be helpful). We baited them all, but had no success at first. He had handeled the traps barehanded and probably left his human scent all over them, so I put on disposable gloves and washed all the traps and rebaited them with one shelled peanut in each. We got one mouse that night and our second mouse a few days later. I released them in the woods miles from my house near a walking trail I frequent. No other activity for a few weeks, but I kept the trap up just in case. Last week we caught a third one, very tiny, I doubt it was full grown. I suspect there must be more, so I am going to rewash and reset the traps, this time with a bit of peanut butter on a cracker piece.Date published: 2016-05-30Rated 4 out of 5 by ck410 from Humane Bought pack of 4. Set the out and caught 2 mice a few days later. Easy to use and open. Issue is placement of traps and bait.Date published: 2016-05-13Rated 5 out of 5 by Animals are people 2 from Exactly what I wanted!! I totally refuse to kill animals! Any animal! I have used traps like these before but they didn't have air holes and if you didn't check daily the mice could die from asphyxiation. Since this is a business mice caught over the weekend would be in bad shape by Monday. These traps are big enough to put some food and cotton soaked in water. I received my traps in very short time too! Great price as well!!Date published: 2016-03-04Rated 5 out of 5 by acerSaccharum from Excellent. It works. I highly recommend it I put the trap out at night on the day I bought it and used peanut butter for the bait. The next morning, there was a mouse inside. I released it very far away from our home. Releasing the mouse is safe and easy to do. That same night, I put the trap out again and the next morning, there was another mouse inside. I again released it far away from our house. This is an ingenious mouse trap. I bought it because there were so many good reviews. I also had to find out how it worked as to being such an effective trap. The design and operation of this trap is amazing. This is one of the most effective products I’ve ever bought regardless of price. Before using the trap, read Victor’s tips about how to capture mice more effectively. I found out, for example, that you prevent a human scent from being put on the trap if you use gloves. There are other good tips as well.Date published: 2016-01-05Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Worked like a charm Saw the mouse on Monday, bought the trap Tuesday, set it Tuesday night, woke-up Wednesday morning with 2 mice sitting patently in the trap weighting to go for a ride to their new home.Date published: 2015-02-10Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Excellent and economical This trap is great!. I am so happy with this product I had to write a review. I discovered a few furry friends in my home and am against killing pretty much anything...so I tried the trap and it beautifully, safely and quickly worked...caught my 2 buddies and let them free! And for only $3.99...in this day and age of rip offs, thank you for making a very affordable simple solution for those of us bleeding hearts!Date published: 2014-05-01
How do you apply the bait? You just put a dab of bait (e.g. peanut butter) inside in the corner. There should be a little place where it says "bait here." It's in the corner furthest away from the entrance of the trap.Date published: 2016-07-20
How does Model M333 work. Do I put something inside? What does slide open and bait mean? The lid of the trap slides open so bait can be placed in the larger are inside the trap. Slide the lid back in place and the trap is ready to go! Mice will enter the trap but will be unable to exit due to the see-saw mechanism that operates the door.Date published: 2015-11-21
Do I need to clean the trap and rebait it or will the mice still use it with mice droppings still in the peanut butter?Mice may still use the trap, however we recommend cleaning the trap with warm water and unscented dish soap, and re-baiting with fresh peanut butter.Date published: 2015-11-14
What are some examples of foods to use as bait? I have no idea other than cheese. We recommend using peanut butter, chocolate or oats as a bait.Date published: 2015-10-17
How do I reassemble it if the tilt assembly came apart?
I understand how the trap is supposed to work, and when it's open the ramp goes down easily, but when the trap is closed, the ramp won't go down. What am I doing wrong? The instructions are not very good.
Victor® Live Traps - Expert Tips
Location, Location, Location!
The most important rule for the effective use of traps is good trap placement location based on thorough inspections to determine the high-activity areas of rodents.
Number of Traps
The most common trapping mistake is using of too few traps. For only a couple of mice, a dozen traps are not too many. For severe mouse infestations, traps should be placed close together in double sets in areas of high activity.
Importance of the First Night
Statistics show that more mice are trapped on the first night than on any other night.
Offer Multiple Bait Choices
When many rodents are involved, different types of baits should be used. Individuals in a rodent population forage for different types of food.
Victor® Glue Traps - Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How many of mice are born at once? How do I know that I've trapped them all?
A: It’s practically impossible to tell when you've trapped them all. You should continue to trap as long as you see mice or notice signs of activity. The most apparent sign of an infestation is fresh droppings.
Q: What is the most common mistake in trapping?
A: The true number of rodents present is underestimated. As a result, not enough traps are used. Although you have killed a few rodents, the remainder of the population continues to multiply.
