Description

Sweeney’s® Solar Power Sonic Spikes™

Sonic Spikes

Sweeney’s® Solar Powered mole and gopher repeller offers a poison-free way to drive away moles, gophers. Every 30 seconds, sonic pulses penetrate the soil, emitting a penetrating sound which is irritating to moles and gophers who are virtually blind and extremely sensitive to sound and vibrations. This method encourages moles to leave the property, and the solar operated spike continues to discourage return visits.

No batteries are required to operate the waterproof solar spike; one solar charge will last up to 5 days. The spike is built with a mow-over design and safe to use around pets. Allow 7-14 days before moles and gophers start to move away from the area.

Batteries? By anonymous
The unit S9014 should have accessability to batteries. Especially if it is overcast for most of the month as would occur in winter in the upper mid west. The ability to recharge the Ni-MH batteries is a most.. Would like a refund.

not so great By baileykat
Got it for moles. They love it. Built a tunnel fight next to it.
Response From Victor®

Victor® has a long history of producing high-quality and reliable products. We apologize for this experience and would be happy to provide assistance.

Results should be seen after 7-14 days of continuous use. Initially, moles may burrow closer to investigate the source of annoyance. When they learn that they can not make it disappear, they will start to move out.

Please contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-5-VICTOR (1-855-584-2867) for additional assistance.

Don\'t waste your money By Kim S
We had agressive gophers in our lawn, and these spikes did absolutely nothing. In fact, shortly after installing them, we found that the GOPHERS had obviously made attempts at uprooting the spike!
Response From Victor®
Susan : Consumer Relations Representative
Gophers often dig up to the spikes when they are first installed to investigate the source of the disturbance. A decrease in activity should be seen within 7-14 days.

Please contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-5-VICTOR (1-855-584-2867) for additional assistance. We apologize for this experience and would like to offer further help.

Patience pays off - they\'re gone By Bobws56
Not sure what critter(s) we had, but these stakes seem to have worked. My rodent friends may have been prairie dogs (we live in the SF Bay Area). It has been about two weeks since I placed two stakes in my yard and I have not seen any evidence of the critters in the last four days. Prior to this, the drain covers in our lawn drainage system were popped off nearly every night. The system provided a ready-made burrow and tunnel system for the little guys. There were areas in the yard that were dug up where the rodents were digging for grubs. My 3-pronged attack included two sonic stakes, repellent and traps.

I placed spring traps in the drain holes, but to no avail. I also spread gopher and mole repellent on the lawn to discourage the pests. I do believe this helped. I was losing patience with the sonic stakes and was going to resort to poisoned bait. Fortunately, the stakes seemed to have worked. It did take a full two weeks. The drain covers have stayed in place and there has been no damage in the yard for five days now. Success!!

Great product! By LondonEye
We tried all kinds of products before I found Sweeney's Mole and Gopher Solar Powered Sonic Spike. Upon installing the spike, we received almost instant results. I saw a gopher in my back yard the night before we purchased the spike. The next morning, i inserted the spike and we have not seen any more pests. Thank you for carrying this product. I have told all my friend about this wonder product.

Moles have come within 8" of units and make return trips. It has been over 3 weeks use now. Moles are not in least bit bothered by "sonic" sound. Use your money for another method.

They\'re Gone By
Critters arrived about three months ago and were very quickly destroying my 1/2 acre yard. Neighbors had tried a variety of traps in their yards with little success so my offer was to try the Sonic Spike. I was somewhat hesitant. But three days after installing the two spikes my moles had all but vanished. The sound which is slightly audible must really irritate them because I found one crawling on top of the ground. Question is where do they go?

This thing still works all year long 3 years after I put it out on my flower bed. It even survives being covered with snow for a few days.

The fact that you don't need to fuss with batteries makes this product very economical and a time saver. Although it takes 7 to 14 days to work, they will ultimately do the job moving the molls. I have used a number of different moll repellent products and this one I like the most.

We are very pleased. Have had a terrible problem with moles digging up the entire yard. We placed it in the center of the front yard and after about a week we didn't see any further tunnels. Will be ordering one for the back yard as well.

Moles

Moles are helpful in that they remove damaging insects and grubs from lawns and gardens. Unfortunately, however, their burrowing habits can destroy grass, gardens and flower beds and tear up tree roots.

Gophers excavate soil from their tunnels, creating large, horseshoe-shaped mounds.  Gopher mounds are typically larger than Mole hills with the entrance hole at an angle to the ground surface.
