Sweeney’s® Mole & Gopher Repellent Yard Spray
Repel moles, voles and gophers from lawns and ornamentals with Sweeney’s® easy-to-use Mole & Gopher Repellent Yard Spray. The active ingredient is 100% castor oil – when soaked into soil it works to contaminate the moles underground food source (earthworms and grubs). Long-lasting, the castor oil mole repellent can safely be used around children and pets when used as directed.

How to Apply
To apply product, simply attach a garden hose tightly to the self-dispensing container and adjust the nozzle to the ON position. Turn water supply on to full pressure and spray the product over mole-infested areas. Castor oil mole repellent should be sprayed at a rate of one quart of product per 10,000 sq ft (e.g. a 100 ft by 100 ft rectangle).
After the repellent is sprayed on area to be treated, adjust the container nozzle to WATER and continue to spray with water to soak the product into the soil.
When to use:
Treat all areas immediately after the presence of moles is detected. The presence of moles may be indicated by a network of surface ridges or by a series of conical mounds of earth pushed up from deep burrows.
Lawn should also be treated in early Spring, mid-Summer and early Fall if there are moles nearby but not on your property.

Review RateWorks pretty much as it claims
I've read the reviews and you can tell folks were not "herding" the varmints out as directed. If you want to kill the beasties get another product. It will take several days to drive them out of the area or into your neighbors yard. I use this product to discourage the animals from making new burrows in areas that I do not want them to be. Once out of that area I can see the new fresh in use burrows which I then can stick poison food or smoke bomb them.

Review RateThe Gophers are winning
I had high hopes for this product. I used this on my front lawn (200Sq ft) and even after 3 applications, I keep seeing new fresh mounds on my lawn.Response From Victor®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
It is important to remember to apply this product in stages. We recommend identifying the areas with the most activity and then deciding which direction to herd them out of the yard. Then, the yard should be split up into four stages and the product applied over the course of four days. On day one, spray the product over the first area and then water the area for approximately 20 minutes. Day two, spray the product over the second area. Water-in this area as well as the area from day one to keep the rodents moving. Continue with this pattern through the fourth day.

Review RateToo thick
Way to thick. 90 minutes to use most of bottle. 55 degrees. Maybe flow better if warmed. Would've been good to know. Too soon know if it works as I did this yesterday.
Review RateLack of product information on label
Had similar experience as other user who commented that the product did not mix well with the water. Corporate response was that the product would perform better if brought into the house for ~20 minutes and placed within a warm bowl of water, a warm bath essentially. This useful information would be better served on the product label. I threw mine away, thinking age or cold had caused the solution to no longer be viable.Response From Victor®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateMole repellant created a worst problem
Applied mole repellent to grass per instructions. Within 7 to 10 days there is far more and wide spread tunneling and dirt mounds than before I treated the lawn. Its almost like the moles were reacting in vengeance or stirred up in some way. Footing on grass is even less stable in more areas. Looks like next step is to trap and kill them. Give it 2 stars because the product seemed to cause a reaction fairly quickly but more lawn damage is not what I was expecting.Response From Victor®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
We apologize for this experience. Was the product applied in one application or was it staged? If applied in one application, this could cause the moles to tunnel aimlessly in any direction to try and escape the repellent. Applying the spray over the affected area in stages will steadily herd moles away from the area.

Review Rateuse of productIt was terrible! I followed the instructions and hooked it up to the hose. Turned it on and covered parts of the lawn. The solution never came out of the bottle. It is way too thick and does not mix with water well. I ended up putting it in a sprinkler can and spreading it that way. The temperature when I applied it was about 50 degrees F. I don't know if that makes a difference. I would bet the granules are easier to use.Response From Victor®Patty : Consumer Relations RepresentativeWe appreciate the time taken to provide this feedback and apologize for the experience.
This product should have the consistency of vegetable oil. Because oil gets thicker when cold, we recommend taking the bottle inside and setting in a bowl of warm water for 10-20 minutes.
