Sweeney’s® Mole & Gopher Granular Repellent – 10LB - 6 Bags
Protect your lawn from moles, gophers, voles, armadillos and other burrowing animals with Sweeney’s® Mole & Gopher 2X Concentration Repellent. This powerful, dual action repellent works to repel animals by taste and smell. Made with specially engineered castor oil covered granules, the repellent penetrates soil easily to reach underground tunnels quickly.
Sweeney’s® Mole & Gopher Repellent contains a powerful, concentrated formula of 20% castor oil, which is twice the industry standard, to safely and effectively drive burrowing animals from lawns and gardens. Safe and poison free, the repellent is safe to use in gardens, on grass and around children and pets.
Sweeney’s® mole and gopher castor oil repellent comes in a convenient, re-sealable 10 lb bag that provides 10,000 square feet of coverage. After applying the granules, water the product into the ground to quickly activate the tunnel penetrating formula. The concentrated repellent makes the ground smell and taste unpleasant, sending underground pests hurrying away to find a more hospitable place to live.

Drive Away Burrowing Animals
Sweeney’s® Mole & Gopher Repellent uses castor oil to control mole and gopher invasions. The repellent works by driving moles and other burrowing animals out of your yard and garden in stages. Avoid treating your entire lawn in one application as this will cause the unwanted pests to tunnel aimlessly in any direction to try and escape the repellent. Applying the granules over the affected area in stages will steadily herd moles away from your lawn and garden. How to Propel Pests from Property
Locate active runs or tunnels in your yard before applying Sweeney’s castor oil repellent. This will enable you to establish which direction to steer burrowing animals from your yard.
- Day 1 – Spread the castor oil granules over the first area and water the area with a sprinkler for roughly 20 minutes. This will allow the concentrated granules to penetrate deeply into the ground.
- Day 2 – Spread the granules over the next area; water-in the same area as day 1, plus the second area to get the pest moving. Continual watering of the area allows the repellent granules to penetrate more deeply into the ground.
- Day 3 – Spread granules over the third area. Also water the same area that you did on days 1 and 2, as well as the third area to keep the mole or gopher moving away from your property.
- Day 4 – 4th Day - Spread the granules over the fourth area. Water in the same area as days 1, 2 and 3, plus the fourth area to eliminate your mole or gopher problem and take back control of your yard.
Helpful hint: Punch holes in tunnels at five foot intervals and shake a small amount of granules directly into the tunnel, then cover the hole with soil.

Review RateMaybe moles are using this for their nutrition?
I'm frustrated! I've used Sweeney worms, peanuts, granular, and spray products over two years. I've spent at least $200. I have more moles now than I started out with!! I have thought about buying their ground sonar items but am fearful to spend any more money.Response From Victor®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
We apologize for this experience. For best results, we recommend treating the active runs or tunnels only. When using the granular repellent, we recommend applying the product over the affected area in stages to steadily herd the moles away from the area.

prompt service and a product that has been working as advertised
Review RateI think this might be the best answer to save your yard, especially if you have pets!
Just started using this product, gophers & moles were destroying my beautiful & expensive sod. So far so good, already seeing less damage after one application. I am happy I found this product, wish I would have known about it sooner. I have tried traps with no luck, but this seems to be working and I would recommend it to anyone with this particular problem.
Review RateProduct spilled all over during shipping, effectiveness jury still out
I think it works but it has only been a week so too soon for me to give it a high recommendation. However, what irritated me was opening the box that my two bags came in to find the contents of about half a bag lying all over inside the box. It looks like one of the bags was cut with a knife before they closed up the box. Not too pleased with that.Response From Victor®Patty : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateResults prove it works
I started losing plants last year including periwinkle, nandinas and even a 6 foot crape myrtle. One day I saw a vole crawl out from under the deck, cut off a hosta leaf and drag it back under the deck. The war was on! Applied Sweeney's mole and gopher repellant last November and this February and May. All plants are making a recovery now. You can't argue with these kind of results.
Review Ratetunnelling halted
florida lawn being excavated by armadillos. it took repeated applications, but the tunnelling slowed down and eventually stopped. applying sweeney's is easy; resodding a lawn is hard. thanks, sweeneys.
Review RateGood product
Put it down as per instructions. So far so good. We are surrounded by woods so this will have to be a regular maintenance for the future.
Review RateGreat product
Great deal! Works great we have been using this for years to chase the voles out of our yard.
Review RateIt works!
9 years ago I had moles all over. I used the mole repellant in conjunction with mole gummy worms poison until they were all gone - it took 1 season to move them out. I now use the repellent on the whole perimeter of my property each spring in conjunction with the solar sonic repellers. I haven't had a mole since.
Review RateExcellent results
Applied before a nice soaking rain and this stuff works. Within one week all mole activity had disappeared! Had been trying traps and poison-not successful. Not certain where the moles went but they are no longer in my yard.
