Tough little unit - Raccoons FEAR IT! October 08, 2011
Reviewer: Nomoraykens
Had this unit for a couple years now, and it hasn't let a single raccoon or other varmint past it. Excellent fence charger for the price. Light weedburner caliber - yep, it even knocks the weeds down. Don't believe me? Try it. My pond is now safe from the devious little masked raccoons. Perhaps my fish can now grow to a decent size... Now, of course it can't keep herons out, but I rigged up an Optex outdoor motion sensor with an ELK programmable timer (to auto-reset, etc.), and a sprinkler valve and high-volume/velocity sprinkler heads. And the herons avoid that setup like the plague. Haven't lost a fish to 'em since I installed it summer of '10. The fish are actually getting fairly good sized now for a change...
