I bought this trap off the recommendation of a friend who had already purchased one and had great success with it. I'm glad I did as I caught my first squirrel the same day I set it out. Since then I have caught two more at the same rate of one a day. Certainly can't complain about that except there was one large squirrel who looked like he had eaten a couple too many double cheeseburgers I had trouble catching. It's wasn't the fault of the trap but he is was so big that I think his tail wasn't all the way inside the trap when it tripped as the bait was gone and the doors were down. So I blocked one of the door openings and put the bait at the far end of the entrance door so he had to go over the trip tray. It took a couple of try's but I finally got him! My advice...if you have really large squirrels start off with a bigger trap. Havahart traps are well constructed of metal wire and if taken care of should last you a very long time.
