We just moved into a house that had been vacant for two years when we moved in. We have been using the snap traps because I couldn't find a humane trap in our location that I wanted to spend the 25.00-30.00, our mice seem really intelligent and are really hard to catch.. I found this one for 5.00 at walmart and thought "Okay, I will give that a shot." we put it out and had two mice in it this morning! I am so pleased that I will be buying more! Thank you for putting this out at an affordable price.
I used to have pet mice when I was younger, so it really has been heavy on my heart to have to hurt them..

Reviewer: JAB
I never had to catch a mouse before...this was my first time. There was no way I was going to get a trap that killed the mouse, I just wanted it out of my house. So, I bought this trap today, set it w/ peanut butter and bread, and 5 hours later, we had a mouse! Couldn't have been easier! And I'm so happy that the mouse is alive and unharmed. We set him free in the woods out back of my house. I would highly recommend this product! Thanks for making humane traps!!!

The Best Trap I Have Ever Seen January 31, 2013
Reviewer: Dynamo2000
The design of the trap is ingenious yet simple. Without drawing a schematic, the trap has a one-way (horizontal) door. Once the mouse gets in it can’t get out. The really clever part is that this one way door is gravity activated and gravity set. So, after a mouse gets in, it just resets itself by gravity and is ready for the next mouse. I once caught 3 mice in one night with this ingenious contraption! Even if you don’t have mice (and especially if you are a mechanical engineer) it is worth spending a few bucks just to see how a one-way gravity activated door can be relatively easily designed. In addition all the parts are either vinyl (housing) or what looks like galvanized metal (the one way door) so cleaning under hot running water is a breeze. The vinyl housing is clear enough so that you can see by holding the trap up to the light if there are any mice inside. And of course, there is the nice feature that the mice are caught live and releasing them is just a matter of sliding the cover over. My only complaint is that Victor did not (yet) scale up this trap with a model for larger animals like rats, squirrels etc.

These Rodents Carry Deadly Diseases January 22, 2013
Reviewer: JJ
I respect all the positive reviews about this live trap and then releasing them back into the wild. Did you know these rodents carry diseases that can be deadly to the human. I remember reading a story about a individual sweeping out a barn that had a mouse infestation with droppings. This individual died, because of inhaling the dust with the mice droppings. Not sure if this is a good choice to catch them alive and releasing them. Sorry that this is not a negative review which Victor probably won't post. I am also a animal lover and love Victor products for the right reasons.

Mouse is GONE!!!! 1st night with your trap~ December 10, 2012
Reviewer: Kat
Happy to report the LIVE multiple catch mouse traps worked with Keebler Club Crackers as bait!!! I didn't go to sleep until like 4:00am, because I had seen a mouse/mice 3 different times yesterday evening. I was so freaked out that I went to 2 different 24 hour Walmarts to find these traps (1st one was out of stock) Sure enough, I just woke up around 11:30am and there was a large house mouse in the trap! Took it outside and FAR away from the house and released him into the desert. He was caught in the trap @ the foot of the refrigerator. Glad to have him out of the kitchen and felt good not to have to harm him. Let's just hope he was the only one. Will leave traps out to find out. As a side note, I already had 4 spin traps of a competing brand out throughout the house for nearly a week which have still caught nothing. Thank you Victor for making a product that actually works & that does not have to kill the mouse. I don't wish harm on them, but I don't want them sleeping with me in my house either. :-)

I am going to describe exactly what happened in my situation.
I have never had a mouse at my current residence of 3 years, and so needless to say I was very surprised when I saw one dart across my kitchen floor about 2 weeks ago. My roommate purchased this trap the next day from our local Rite Aid after we discussed how we did not want to kill the mouse no matter what. There were some skeptical reviews we read that concerned us, but we decided to purchase this trap anyway.
The mouse did not enter the trap at any point (it just didn't seem attracted to any of the types of bait we used/we were only able to get one trap because of finances). However, this is not because of the trap. What wound up happening is that I saw it on the counter one day and literally kept my eye on it until my roommate came home so we could try and make sure we got it out that night. The mouse was hiding under the microwave on the counter, right next to the kitchen sink. We had to lift the microwave because it did not want to come out no matter how we tried to lure it. When we lifted it, the mouse scurried away and fell into the kitchen sink while trying to jump. I thought quickly on my feet and put the trap in the sink (it was empty at the time) since I figured that it would continue to try and escape the open area. I was right, the moment I set the trap into the sink it darted into it (it originally was attempting to jump out of the sink, and was coming very close to getting out - what a jumper!). The trap successfully kept the mouse inside of it and we took it a couple of blocks away to release it.
I could see where a mouse/mice would be able to chew out of the trap, but I think it is imperative to trap it and take it out immediately...if possible. The bottom line is that this trap worked, saved me a headache, and kept the mouse alive.
Thank you!

Dear Rob,
Thank you for sharing your experience! We are delighted that the Victor® Mouse Trap Multiple Catch provided you a safe and effective way to relocate this unwanted house guest. You are absolutely correct, when using a live trap it is imperative to release the rodent as soon as possible. Mice can die within 8 hours of a capture, especially this time of year. Because of this desperate rodents will go through extreme measures to escape.
Your feedback is appreciated! If you have questions or need assistance please do not hesitate to contact us at 1-855-5-VICTOR (1-855-584-2867).
As Vice President of a local wildlife rehabilitation group, i am VERY concerned about the well-being of animals: i can testify that this is by far the BEST TRAP EVER! i have used many styles of live catch mouse traps, and some designs are dangerous to our native Deer Mice that are considerably larger than the non-native House Mouse from Asia (Deer Mice are so named because their colouring resembles that of a deer: reddish brown back, white underneath...the typical House Mouse is solid gray brown).
Just put a tiny dab of peanut butter in the bait corner of the trap (too much and the mouse will become a sticky mess) and check back every few hours...mice can die from stress if they are trapped for too long; never leave a "set" trap unattended for more than a day (when the trap is not in use, leave the lid off to avoid any accidental trappings). I've used this trap successfully for years, not just in my own home--i've even bought them for my place of employment and have my co-workers releasing mice too!

I've tried using the standard, basic mouse snap-traps to no avail at all. Then yesterday, I was back at the store to see what else I could try and then I saw the "Victor Humane Mouse Trap Multiple Catch". So I decided to give it a try even though I was a bit skeptical about it actually catching any mice. I set it up last night near the cat food bowl where the mice generally went to and sure enough this morning, there was a mouse in the trap!! I took it outside and released it into the woods far away! I was thrilled that this trap actually worked and now I'm going to go out and get a few more of these traps to set up around the house. I'm really looking forward to having a "mouse-free" house once again! Thanks Victor!!!

My wife and I discovered a bit of a mouse infestation in our basement (too many boxes, etc). Our cat caught 2, but from the droppings we had to do more. Thought about the electric shockers, but decided to go with this (bought 2 for about $8 at Home Depot). Very easy, a little peanut butter and a couple of days and we caught 4 (3 in one trap), with one making a close getaway. This is really a pretty easy, safe , effective and cheap solution.

Caught my first mouse last night. But be patient it took the third night to accomplish. Put broken m&ms on ramp and outside box. I have also sealed a sm opening where air condit goes into house with steel wool until I can get other materials. Also am in process of looking and repairing other possible enry sites. So cats got one, victor this one, not sure how many I got but it should be interesting......

I've used this trap for over a year and it worked great. Honey roasted peanuts makes an easy bait and the small trap size fits easily on a garage shelf. The plastic is easy to rinse off and keep clean.
You have to check the trap fairly regularly since it is plastic and the mice will chew it. Besides, if you don't free them, they will eventually die defeating the whole purpose of a live catch trap.
Great product! July 08, 2009
Reviewer: grampa13
Well, we got a bit of a mouse infestation. Only a couple mice. The problem was that they were staying in the cabinets and walls where our cats couldn't get them, and that I didn't want to kill the mice.
Bought this product at the local Rite Aid yesterday, used chocolate Hershey Kisses as bait instead of peanut butter (works better in my opinion) and set it in a drawer.
Checked it this afternoon when I got home from work and sure enough there were two mice inside the trap. Walked them a nice distance from the house, opened the top, set it on the ground and off go the mice. Honestly, I'm surprised at how well this product did indeed work; especially for the cost. It was only about 5 dollars.
Well worth the money paid and then some!

My wife noticed a mouse in the basement. Being the animal friendly sort, I didn't want to kill the poor bugger. So I picked one of these up at a local hardware store for $5. Set up took less than 30 seconds and 2 hours later I had trapped the mouse and released him into the woods.
Great product.

We've had evidence of mice in the kitchen for a week or so. Finally, we saw one early one morning. When we told the kids that we were going to set traps, they got upset at the thought of killing the mice.
I picked up a couple of these traps for about $4 each at Home Depot. We baited them with peanut butter and, on the first attempt, caught two mice. We walked to the woods nearby and released them. Happy kids and a happy wife!

Reviewer: drewp
Like most other reviewers, I find that these traps work great at first although I've never caught one than one mouse at a time BUT after several nights, the mice chew through the tabs and escape. I've read responses from Victor suggesting the traps should be checked frequently. I check my traps probably about every 8 hours or so. Who has enough time to check every hour or so??? The trap should be made out of metal like the "tin cat"..which I would get but it appears to be HUGE compared to this one (catches 30 mice?). I usually put the trap in smaller nooks and overhangs in my basement where only a smaller unit would work.

I bought this product because I hated the idea of killing the mice. I set it out the first night, and the next afternoon, there were two mice in there. I cleaned and rebaited it and placed it back in the same spot. I checked it the next morning and was disappointed to realize that a mouse HAD been in there. Thank you for taking the time to submit an online review! Victor® Mouse Trap Multiple Catch (M333) enables you to catch and release mice without touching them. Mice will die after approximately 12 hours of capture, sooner during the cold weather months. During that time their survival instincts kick in causing them to go through great lengths to attempt escape, including chewing their way out of a trap. For this reason it is highly recommended that once you have a catch to release the mouse/mice at your earliest opportunity.
We hope you have found this information to be helpful. We would the opportunity to speak with your directly regarding this matter. Please contact our Consumer Relations Team so we can better assist you.
First night worked fine - 1 mouse trapped and released. Next few nights, PB was gone but no mouse in trap. I looked closely at how trap is supposed to work and it seemed the door was not closing as designed. I returned trap to Home Depot and exchanged for another of the same. I examined it before baiting to see if it was working OK. Both door and ramp came loose, I reassembled as best I could, baited and again bait was taken but no mouse. Tried this for a few more nights with same result. Now have purchased model M007, will try them but don't have much confidence. Next I'll try the metal trap.

HORRIBLE, MALFUNCTIONED ON THE ALL IMPORTANT FIRST NIGHT! October 24, 2012
Reviewer: Upset
Last night I found that we had mice eating some of the snacks in our basement, and immediately went to the store to by traps. I bought this trap due to the appeal of its reusable capabilities as well as the limit of mice at which it can catch at once since in reality there is probably more than one mouse. After following the instructions carefully, ensuring that the lid was secure, I placed the trap where I thought the mice were entering the basement. I was hopeful that our probability of catching the rodents were high as the description states "Statistics show that more mice are trapped on the first night than on any other night". This morning I went to check on the trap and it was in two pieces, THE MOUSE/MICE BROKE FREE OF THE TRAP THAT I SET OUT 8 HOURS BEFORE!! All of the bait (peanut butter) was gone, the trap obviously disturbed from its original location, and the the lid just sat on top of the trap. I do not have any pets so I am sure that this was in no way disturbed by anything other than the mouse/mice that got into the trap. I am so aggravated that this product failed and will never buy this product again. Luckily I had bought other traps last night as well so I have put those in place of where this one was in hopes that the mouse/mice returns again and is caught in that trap. DO NOT USE THIS IF YOU WANT TO CATCH MICE!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to submit you online review of Victor® Mouse Trap Multiple Catch (model M333). We are sorry to hear that you have not seen the desired results with your trap. Placement is a very important factor in attracting mice to your trap. Mice tend to travel along walls, be sure to place your trap so the tunnel is against the wall. If you find that the mice are not attracted to the baits you have put out, you can also try bacon bits, gumdrops, chocolate or crackers.
If you have tried these methods and still have trouble catching mice in your live traps, please contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-5-VICTOR (1-855-584-2867) for further troubleshooting.
Caught one mouse first night and noticed upon release that a fair amount of chewing had occured on the plastic tabs that hang down to prevent escape. Caught another mouse the next evening and decided to leave the trap in place to allow for a multiple catch. Unfortunatly the mouse chewed right through the tabs and escaped. The trap is now useless! The tabs hanging down should have been metal!

We hope you find this tip helpful. Please contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-800-800-1819, opt 1, we will gladly replace your trap.
I purchased this item because it was the only humane trap offered at my local hardware store, and I did not want to kill the mouse/mice, just wanted them out of my house. I set the trap at midnight before bed, and when I woke up the next morning, I found that a mouse or mice had been in there, but had managed to gnaw its way out. Very disappointed and now know to stick with metal only traps.

After discovering evidence of mice, my fiancee and I purchased this and two of the single Live Mouse Traps, set them that evening with a dab of peanut and they completely ignored the trap. I've seen them run though the little 'hallway' leading to the entrance and jump on top of it. Havn't caught a one using this.

Victor® Mouse Trap Multiple Catch (Model # M333) and the Victor® Live Mouse Trap (Model # M007) enable you to catch and release mice safely around children and pets. Placement plays a factor in attracting mice to your trap. Mice tend to travel aside walls, be sure to place your trap so that the tunnel is against the wall.
The next factor in attracting mice to your trap is baiting. Peanut butter is generally the bait we recommend for trapping mice. If you find mice not being attracted to the peanut butter you can try other types or combinations of bait such as: bacon bits, gumdrops, chocolate, and crackers. If you have tried these methods and still have trouble catching mice in your live traps please provide us with your phone number so we can contact you at your convenience. The most important rule for the effective use of traps is good trap placement location based on thorough inspections to determine the high-activity areas of rodents.
Number of Traps The most common trapping mistake is using of too few traps. For only a couple of mice, a dozen traps are not too many. For severe mouse infestations, traps should be placed close together in double sets in areas of high activity.
Importance of the First Night Statistics show that more mice are trapped on the first night than on any other night.
Offer Multiple Bait Choices When many rodents are involved, different types of baits should be used. Individuals in a rodent population forage for different types of food.
Q:How many of mice are born at once? How do I know that I've trapped them all? A: It’s practically impossible to tell when you've trapped them all. You should continue to trap as long as you see mice or notice signs of activity. The most apparent sign of an infestation is fresh droppings. more»
Q:What is the most common mistake in trapping? A: The true number of rodents present is underestimated. As a result, not enough traps are used. Although you have killed a few rodents, the remainder of the population continues to multiply. more»
