Unlike traditional snap traps, the Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap PRO uses a high-voltage, quick and humane shock that kills the field, house or any mouse in seconds. The Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap PRO is as efficient as it is effective, killing up to three mice per setting and 100 mice per set of 4 “AA” batteries (not included). This trap offers a 100% kill rate – meaning there are no escapes and you can rid yourself of a small rodent problem in one single night.
How It Works
The Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap PRO is equipped with advanced smart circuit technology that senses when a rodent enters the trap. Once the rodent is inside, the patented tunnel design and beveled columns hold the mouse in place and prevent any escapes. The mouse steps onto the metal plates, completing the circuit and the trap delivers a quick, humane shock. Each time the trap catches a mouse, the light on top of the trap flashes green for up to seven days to indicate a kill. The Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap PRO also senses how many mice it catches. If it traps only a single mouse, it resets automatically and waits for another. The trap can kill up to 3 mice per setting and 100 mice per set of 4 “AA” batteries. To dispose of the mouse, just flip the lid open and dump the mouse directly into the trash for a hygienic and safe, no-touch, no-view disposal. The trap can either be reset or discarded. To reset, bait the trap, place and turn the trap on for continued rodent control.
The Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap PRO is easy to use for house, field or any mouse removal. Simply insert batteries, bait, place, turn the trap on and empty! Open the battery compartment and insert 4 “AA” batteries. To bait, open the lid on top of the trap and place a small amount of peanut butter, chocolate, hazelnut spread or any of their favorite foods along the back wall of the trap in the bait trough provided. Place the trap where you have seen signs of rodent activity or along the wall where rodents primarily travel. The trap should be placed lengthwise against the wall with the entrance hole nearest the wall. Turn on the trap. A green light will blink once showing the trap is working properly.
The Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap PRO features a built-in safety switch that automatically deactivates the trap whenever the lid is open. In addition, the trap includes beveled columns and a unique tunnel design that prevents children and pets from reaching into the trap. The trap has no poisons or chemicals and is safe to use anywhere in the home.
My husband told me a mouse would never walk into that trap, so I turned it off, opened the lid, and baited it with poison for a few days -- to train them to eat from it. After a few nights, I engaged the trap & caught all the mice we had (those which I didn't poison to death) because everything is all clear since, fingers crossed!
Finally writing a reviewJanuary 07, 2014
I bought this trap several years ago, used it for several weeks and it did a phenomenal job to the point where I finally put it up and haven't used it. Well my wife called me at work, and said I hear a mouse behind the stove. I had her get the trap down, couldn't remember the battery size, well the trap got dropped and one of the hinge posts broke, but I cleaned it up and put new AA batteries in, and taped the loose side of the trap down, turned it on, and it's back in action! Hopefully it's only a couple mice that found their way in during this cold spell, otherwise I may be buying the bigger trap. Great product, it does what it says, love that. :)
Great ServiceDecember 28, 2012
I purchased 4 of these traps and caught a mouse the same night I set them. After dumping the dead mouse I was attempting to clean out the old peanut butter and accidentally snapped off a hinge post on the lid. I contacted Victor with the intent to purchase a new lid. To my surprise all I had to do was show proof of purchase and they sent me out a brand new unit free of charge! I am very happy with the traps and the service from Victor. I would caution everyone though to be very careful when cleaning out your trap and dont push the lid back to far. The small hinge posts are very delicate. Customer serviceNovember 10, 2011
I have used electronic traps from Victor for more than 5 years and they are incredible. I had issue with this particular model as it didn't seem to be working correctly. I wrote to customer service yesterday afternoon and I had a reply in my inbox this morning with a resolution. That is what I call GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Best mouse trap I've ever usedJuly 31, 2011
I have been using the same Victor Electronic Mouse Trap for 5 years and have been very pleased with how clean and easy it is to use.
Best trap ever!!!June 25, 2011
This thing is awesome and it does exactly what it says it does. A couple batteries and some peanut butter and you'll be zapping mice in no time. Easy to clean with a little time and a q tip. Thank you soooooo much for creating such a outstanding mouse trap. Worth every penny!!!
Great invention!February 19, 2011
I've been using my Victor electric mouse trap for over a year and am very pleased with the results. I was having trouble with very small mice eating the bait on my spring traps without setting them off. This is not an issue with this trap as it kills them all as soon as they step on the interior metal plates. I recommend them without reservation.

I love this trap, it works great, thank you so much I am ordering the bigger one now.
Took a little while, but two down so far!March 02, 2010
This device is doing the trick! At first I thought it wasn't working because, I smeared the peanut butter on the very back over the holes and I could see a mouse had licked it through the holes but wouldn't go into the trap. I called and asked if I was doing something wrong and the lady said just be patient, they tend to be skittish. Sure enough a day later it was blinking. I then thought I only had one mouse and I just had my second kill. Now my quest is to figure out how they are getting into my house and seal that off. When the instructions say the back wall, I think they mean on the wall under the hinge side of the lid on the back. It seems to do the trick.
Your Product Was a Blessing to Me!November 02, 2009

I just wanted you to know that your product was a blessing to me!!! I thought I had 2 or 3 mice in my kitchen but when I placed the Victor electronic trap in my cupboard under the sink I WAS SHOCKED to discover the many mice I caught--in 4 days there were over 20!!!! I have now ordered the BIG electronic trap to put in the cellar just in case the severe rain will drive them in to my house. THANKS FOR SUCH A GREAT PRODUCT AND MY FRIENDS ARE ALSO AMAZED AND WILL BUY THEM TOO WHEN NEEDED.
very disappointingJuly 30, 2012
I bought three of the electronic mouse trap pro's about a month ago in hopes they would be three times as good as the single catch units. No such luck. I am using peanut butter as bait and I am having a very hard time catching any mice at all. They seem to walk all around the trap leaving droppings on top of it and next to it. I also have a single catch trap that catches mice with out any problem. I just can’t seem to catch them using the three catch trap. They just don’t work as well as the single catch traps. RESPONSE FROM VICTOR PEST AUGUST 1, 2012 Thank you for your online review. We are sorry to hear about your experience with the Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap PRO (model M250PRO). Trap location is of prime importance when placing the traps in your home. It is suggested that the traps be placed in areas of high rodent activity and parallel to walls as rodents tend to avoid travel in open spaces. With these traps, it is also important that the metal plates be clear of any debris. To make sure that there is no debris on the plates, you would want to wipe the plates off with a damp cloth (no soap or chemicals). After the trap has been able to air dry, you can reinsert the batteries and turn the trap back on. Also, it would be recommended to try different bait options as rodents may forage for different types of food. Other than peanut butter, other options would be hot dog, bacon bits, gumdrops, chocolate, crackers or even nesting materials such as dental floss. We hope this information has been helpful! Worked then quitMay 08, 2012
Loved this until the batteries died and when I cleaned the trap and changed batteries, it wouldn't work again. RESPONSE FROM VICTOR PEST MAY 19, 2012 Dear Lou, Thank you for your online review for the Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap PRO (model #: M250PRO). This trap is an excellent, effective and sanitary way to take care of pesky rodents. We are sorry to learn that the trap is no longer offering these results. Since the trap works based on pressure being placed on the metal plates to initiate a shock it is important that the trap is thoroughly cleared of any debris before reuse. Victor® has a long history of providing quality products and we apologize that you received something that does not meet this standard. trap won't come on after only one day of useJuly 24, 2011
I caught 1 mouse in the trap, removed the mouse, cleaned trap as instructed, put battries back in trap and nothing I have tried works. I used 4 sets of brand new battries and it still won't come on. disappointed alsoNovember 19, 2010
I brought 2 of these only set out one to try it. Two weeks later and no mice. Yes I used peanut butter. Then 1 week later I found a mouse when I opened it up and discovered the problem. Only a baby or new born mouse can fit through the opening. That is what I had one baby mouse no bigger than an inch never even used the other one. I thought I should have brought the rat one since it has a bigger hole but it was 50 bucks and i had already spent $60. I wish I could trade in the to for the 10 catch one provide the opening is bigger. I think it work if the mice can get in. RESPONSE FROM VICTOR PEST NOVEMBER 21, 2010 Thank you for the recent online review you have submitted for the Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap PRO (model #: M250PRO). We apologize that you are having trouble with your trap. Mice are able to fit thru holes the size of a dime. The entrance to the Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap PRO is approximately 1" x 1". A full grown mouse will not have trouble fitting through an entrance way of this size. From your description, once the baby mouse entered your trap it caused an electrical connection to the plates and activated the trap causing it to misfire. In addition, dirt, and debris can also bridge the plates and activate the trap. Keeping the trap clean would solve the problem. To clean your trap: Remove the batteries. Wipe metal plates with a damp cloth (water only, no soap or detergent, this will act as a deterrent to the rats). Allow your trap to air dry and replace the batteries. Poor electronic connection.April 14, 2013
Didn't work for me due to electronic problems. I used fresh batteries and the light came on briefly. Thinking it was set, I checked the trap the next day, but couldn't get the light to flicker on again. I changed the batteries, but the connection was lost. Tried several ways to secure the batteries w/o success. Seems very flimsy/cheap for the price. Confirmation that the trap is still working needs to be a feature of this type of trap.Total waste of time and money. Unfortunately I paid cash and did not keep the receipt. RESPONSE FROM VICTOR PEST APRIL 19, 2013 Dear Tessa, Thank you for your online review. We appreciate your feedback regarding the Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap PRO (model M250PRO). waste of moneyNovember 25, 2012
We purchased one of these electronic traps a month ago, and still haven't caught a mouse with it. There are mouse tracks and turds all around it, but they don't go far enough inside to get zapped. I dabbed peanut butter on the back solid wall, and it hasn't been disturbed. I also put dots on the other walls closer to the entrance, and that peanut butter has been eaten. The metal plates are clean and I turn the trap off and on again and the green light blinks, so I know the electric part works. Meanwhile, I have caught mice with other snap traps set in the same location near the mouse holes, but about half of them have gotten away. Yesterday I finally found some of the old-fashioned metal snap traps and set two of them, one was right beside the electronic trap near the mouse hole. I baited both with peanut butter. This morning, each of the old-fashioned snap traps had caught a deer mouse. Still nothing in the electronic trap. Can we get our money back? The old-style ones are still the best! RESPONSE FROM VICTOR PEST NOVEMBER 27, 2012 Thank you for reviewing the Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap PRO (model M250PRO). We are sorry to hear that mice do not seem to be accessing the trap. Electronic mouse traps are usually very effective in controlling unwanted rodents. It is a favorite for consumers that prefer to have as little contact with the rodent as possible. To avoid escapes, the back wall of the trap should be the only place where this trap is baited. To attract them, place this trap alone with the entrance door facing inside a wall where evidence of rodent activity is present. Although peanut butter is highly recommended sometimes switching baits can help. Try a different sticky spreadable type bait like chocolate nut spread. Above all else we want you to be satisfied with your Victor® trap. Our products are backed by a 30 day money back guarantee and a one year warranty. A refund can be issued with a copy of your sales receipt reflecting purchase within the last 30 days. the worst idea i ever had i can see the mice run over the trap but not inside. just saw it again as im writing this. mice will not enter the trap. my problem is very bad. i need traps that work i spent 80 bucks on 1 of these traps a tin cat(0 mice in 2-3 weeks for that also) and 4 mid grade sound things not only did the problem get worse the only way i kill any mice is the good old snap traps. RESPONSE FROM VICTOR PEST MAY 18, 2012 Thank you for your online review for the Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap PRO (Item Number: m250PRO). We are sorry to learn about the rodent issue and apologize about the experience with the trap. Taking care of an infestation is a balancing act and it is important to take a holistic approach in order to eliminate the problem. Rodents need food and shelter to survive so it is important to eliminate any foods sources that may have access to in the homes as well as clearing out any storage areas where they might nest. The placement of traps is also essential in order to effectively trap the rodents. Make sure that the traps are placed in high rodent activity areas parallel to the wall. I purchased two of these traps one didn't work out of the box. I put batteries in it and no light came on and the batteries got really hot. The second one worked right away out of the box got 4 mice in 3 days, and then just up and quit. I cleaned it changed batteries twice and it just would not power on. DisappointedNovember 08, 2011
I have used the single M2524 for years and always had good luck, so I trusted the product. I needed to replace one of them and they are hard to find in stores, so I ordered online from this site. I saw that virtually the same trap with the exception to it being the pro version, was just a little more money, I decided to go with them, 3 is better than one. I order 2 of them and have since put them out, I check them daily make sure I clean up the peanut butter and reset. I saw dropping so I knew the mice were back, so I added a piece of dog food to each one (I have good luck with that in the past). Yesterday I checked and again no mice but this time there was a ton of mice droppings around them but no mice in them, very frustrated. I decided to take the older single model one and put it in place of the pro version and this morning I had a dead mouse. It is frustrating and I agree with another review that the hole is a little smaller. I would love to trade them in for the single m2524. RESPONSE FROM VICTOR PEST February 2, 2012 Dear Jamie,Thank you for reviewing the Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap PRO (model M250PRO). We are sorry about the issue you had with your trap. disappointedNovember 07, 2010
I had this set for 3 or 4 days, and nothing. Was getting kinda upset. Then the next night was blinking, opened to dump it and was nothing in it. The mice have been all over it, pooped and peed on and all around it. didnt have the money to spend on it but...thought it would be great.set 4 regular traps last night, got 4 dead mice this morning...very disappointed. RESPONSE FROM VICTOR PEST NOVEMBER 09, 2010 Thank you for your online review for the Victor Electronic Mouse Trap PRO (model M250PRO). In order to attract mice into your trap you will want to insert a small amount of peanut butter in to the back wall of the inner chamber, against the access holes. The mice will smell the peanut butter, enter the trap and follow the tunnel specifically designed to hold them in place over the electrified metal plates. It is very important that no dirt or debris of any kind touches these plates, or it will set off the trap. If the trap is prematurely activated before a mouse enters the chamber, it will not reset and therefore will not provide expected results. This being said, it is important to clean your trap. To clean your trap: Remove the batteries. Wipe metal plates with a damp cloth (water only, no soap or detergent, this will act as a deterrent to the rats). Allow your trap to air dry and replace the batteries. We want to ensure that you have a working product. Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap PRO - Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I place the trap?
Place the trap along the wall where rodents primarily travel or where you have seen signs of rodent activity. For example, if you have a mouse in your house (super small droppings as compared to rat droppings, which are about the size of half a raisin).
How do I bait it?/What should I use to bait it?
To bait the Electronic Mouse Trap, first make sure the trap is turned off. Place the bait along the back wall of the trap in the bait trough provided. We’ve carefully researched and recommend baiting with anything high in protein like peanut butter or hazelnut spread. Place a small amount of bait (the size of a pea) against the back wall of the kill chamber. Be sure to use gloves or a tool to bait so your scent is not transferred onto the trap. Please don’t place the bait or any other material directly on the metal plates as this will falsely trip the system.
How do I clean the trap?
Through repeat use and baiting, dust and debris can settle on the metal plates inside the trap, so we recommend that you clean your trap between each use. To clean the trap: • Turn the unit to the off position and remove the batteries • Wipe the metal plates with a damp cloth (water or unscented dish detergent only) • Allow the Electronic Mouse Trap to air dry completely • Replace the batteries and turn the unit back on.
Is the buzzing/clicking normal?
The buzzing and slight clicking sound with the Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap is normal during the start-up of the trap. When you first turn the trap on, the green light will blink momentarily and then you will hear the buzzing or a slight clicking sound indicating that you trap is working properly and starting up.
Is it reusable?
The Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap is reusable. These traps are able to kill up to 100 mice per set of batteries.
