With an oversized trip pedal, the Victor® Power-Kill™ Mouse Trap is hard to avoid, even for unsuspecting mice or those wary of traps. Its powerful High-Impact Kill Bar™ and easy-to-set one-click mechanism make the Power-Kill™ incredibly easy to use compared to other snap traps. The Power-Kill™ kills mice immediately and effectively, and it’s highly durable plastic construction means the Power-Kill™ can be used over and over or disposed of, if desired.

The trap’s large pedal holds a bait trough that’s easy to bait with a mouse’s favorite foods or nesting materials. A simple “click” sets the trap. Once set, place the Power-Kill™ along runways where mice are known to travel, or anywhere you see mouse activity. The Power-Kill™ Mouse Trap’s oversized trip pedal is activated whenever mice eat the bait OR accidentally step on it as they scamper across the floor. When the trip pedal is triggered, the High-Impact Kill Bar™ immediately and powerfully springs closed for a quick, humane kill. That’s why it is considered the most powerful mouse trap on the market today. The one-step open and close action also lets you easily and cleanly dispose of the rodent without touching the body or risking your fingers.
The Victor® Power-Kill™ Mouse Trap is perfect for use anywhere in the home, indoors or out. Because it doesn’t use chemicals or poisons, it’s ideal for households with children or pets.
The Power-Kill™ is easy-to-set and use. Here’s how:
Remove the clip securing the kill bar.
Using a Q-tip, toothpick or other tool to mask your scent, bait the trap by placing peanut butter or anything high in protein like chocolate or hazelnut spread in the bait trough provided.
To set, pull back the kill bar until it clicks and the trap locks in place.
Place the trap wherever you’ve seen signs of rodent activity, or along the wall where rodents primarily travel. The end of the trap with the bait pedal should be placed flush against the wall.
After the mouse is caught, properly dispose of the dead rodent. The trap can either be discarded or reused.

I decided to try trapping mice outside my house because mice disabled my A/C and I had to pay to repair it. Not many traps are rated for outdoors, but this one is. I bought mine at TSC and placed 5 of them around my house 6 weeks ago. They are collectively averaging 10 mice per week. I use peanut butter for bait, and the ants take it. I think trap placement is more important than bait because some of the trapped mice appear to have just run across the trap because it was in the path. At times I have to flush dirt out to free up the moving parts; I use a squirt bottle for this job, I stake the trap to the ground with a nail through the hole in the corner. I recommended this trap to my neighbor, and he caught a mole with one.
Best trap EVER!October 28, 2012
This trap is simple to set and rarely misses a mouse. A little peanut butter in the cup lasts all season and it will catch mouse after mouse. I need to change the peanut butter because it gets old and dried out. Also nice that you don't even come close to touching the mouse to remove from trap. This is by far the best trap and I've tried dozens of commercial and homemade traps.

YES!!! Finally a trap that does what its supposed to do. I have had a rodent problem for a couple of years and tried several different traps. The power kill trap has performed above and beyond my expectations including catching a rat running through it backwards. I recommend this trap to all my friends and family.

Deadly efficient. Easy as pie to set, sensitive as hell so that ANY mouse that comes into contact with this trap had better have its affairs in order. Have had a major problem with mice in the last couple of weeks since the weathers been warming and they have been getting more active. Tried the traditional trap with the large plastic cheese looking pedal, but the plastic was so relatively heavy that using bait with any substance weighed it down and made the trap prone to misfire. Some didn't trip at all and the mice helped themselves to the bait with no repercussions. Not so with the power kill. The slightly recessed hole to place bait in ensures that the mouse has to come into contact with the trigger. Nice heavy spring that is rattlesnake quick but more importantly, strong enough to make sure it's instant death and not extended agony for the mouse while it waits to suffocate or bleed to death. In the past 24 hours, I've got nine mice with a single trap(not all at once, mind you;0)

Had a problem with mice for quite a while and the wife was getting mad. Even using an exterminator to help. He gave me a couple of these traps and WOW all of them had a mouse in one night.
I will use them from now on and drop the exterminator. These are quite a bit cheaper!!!
awesome performance!January 06, 2010
These traps work very well. The bait is on the base, the trigger is the platform that surrounds the bait. Not false triggers, no need to re-bait after a kill. I could only find the M142 traps at tractor supply, other stores didn't carry them. I highly recommend these!
A Big Improvement and ValueJanuary 05, 2010
After using the cheapos with the plastic cheese bait station and having my peanut butter eaten off of three out of four traps without snapping, the first night using these more expensive power kill traps was a big success. All of the power kill traps I put out caught a mouse on the first night with no lost bait/no kill situations. I prefer traps as they are the most humane and environmentally friendly method of mouse extermination.
The Power Kill traps are easier to release the mouse without touching it, and the plastic body doesn't absorb blood and bacteria.
I'm sold! I will be using these exclusively from now on.
I found mine at a Tractor Supply (TSC) store as my local Lowe's didn't carry them.

I've used the easy set plastic trap that's for rats and it is sooooo much easier to set than the standard snap trap, and you can reuse it several times. Very easy to dispose of the rodent too.
I did get whacked in the finger with the bar of the old style and it bruised and hurt for quite a while.
The Victor® Power-Kill™ Mouse Trap is extremely easy to bait. An instruction sheet and video are available that will give detailed step-by-step instructions on how to bait the Victor® Power-Kill™ Mouse Trap.
Individuals in a rodent population search for different types of food. For mice, anything high in protein like peanut butter, chocolate or hazelnut spread is a great option. Also, nesting materials like dental floss, cotton or string are also a great option. Try to use whatever bait or nesting material the rodents are currently feeding on or using to build nests.
