Application Tips to Help Win the War on Moles Prior to treatment, determine which burrows are active by either pressing down a small section of the tunnel or removing a one inch section of the tunnel’s roof. Mark these sections and re-check in 24-hours. The burrow is considered active if the flattened runway has been raised up or if the roof has been repaired. Only treat active burrows.
After identifying active burrows, carefully punch a hole in the top of active tunnels with pointed end of cone, drop in a teaspoonful of the pellets, and carefully close the hole with sod or stone. Do not collapse the runway again or allow loose soil to cover the bait. After a few days, check to see if the burrows are still active. If so, repeat treatment.
Wearing waterproof gloves, collect and dispose of dead, exposed animals. Dispose of leftover bait in accordance with disposal instructions on package.

used 2 containers to get rid of moles in a small restricted area. After a number of weeks of continuous treatment there are still moles present. In the past, I've found that juicy fruit gum that was rolled up and inserted in the tunnels really worked well, since it blocked up mole intestines causing them to die, but a few years ago juicy fruit changed their product composition to a non gummy substance & it no longer works the same way to get rid of moles. I might try bubblegum to see if it is still gummy. moles like the sweet smell & flavor of gum!

Thank you for taking the time to submit your online review of our Sweeney’s® Mole & Gopher Poison Peanuts Bait (model S6006). We are sorry to hear that you have not yet seen the desired results with this product.
For the best results, it is important that the pellets be placed in an active tunnel. To locate the active tunnels, try stomping down all of the tunnels late in the day. They can be marked with sticks or toothpicks. Once you have done this for several days, you will learn which tunnels are the active ones. Many tunnels, including fresh ones are only used once.
You may also want to try our Sweeney’s® Poison Moleworms™. These are made to resemble real earthworms and are uniquely formulated to be appetizing to moles.
We hope this information has helped. If you have done this and are still not seeing results, please do not hesitate to contact our Consumer Relations Team at 800-800-1819 x 458 for additional assistance.
