When you see mole tunnels popping up in your yard, you'll want to have one of these on hand. The Victor® Mole Trap effectively kills moles without the use of chemicals or poisons. The plunger-style trap features weather-resistant spears that allow the trap to be used over and over again.
Additionally, each trap is equipped with an easy to use design and safety pin to eliminate false firings. The trap come fully assembled and with illustrated operating instructions on setting and placement. As the most effective mole trap on the market, you can rest assured that your yard is safe from the damaging effects of moles.
Ideally, this mole trap should be placed into the tunnel with the tunnel portion beneath the trigger pan partially blocked. The trigger must rest on the blockage. It is because of this placement that traps works best for moles, since their natural instinct is to reopen the tunnel. In clearing the tunnel, they will push up on the trigger, releasing the powerful trap.
Spring is the best time to trap moles because newly-made surface tunnels are easy to spot. However, moles can be trapped during any season except in very cold or dry weather.

Victor® Mole Trap
Plunger-style mole trap
Weather-resistant, metal spears for superior strength and durability
caught 2 immediately, 4 in a few days and lawn damage stopped. i recommend a little research into how to locate active tunnels, if it's an active tunnel it works within a day or two. if it's an inactive tunnel nothing.

Product did exacly what the company made it to do...if this trap didnt catch the mole, it's because you either didn't follow the directions or didn't use common sense to fill in any blanks/unknowns that can come with just about any product out there such as please keep in mind that although the company didn't mention this, mole's have a very acute sense of smell and initially or over time develope a habit for staying away from things which have a human scent on it. So to help prevent the situation of a mole avoiding the trap and/or area around the trap, use gloves when setting the trap in order to lesson the chances for the moles to detect it and then work around the trap thus which can make some users think that it was the trap itself that is junk when in fact we have found tat the trap caught a mole 3 out of 4 times we set it. The only thing we can agree to concerning others who left negative reviews on this trap, is that it would have been nice if the company had designed a better way in which we could secure/hold the trap while it was being set like some type of handle or even a foot plate where by the user could hold their foot on it while using their hand(s) to pull up on the 't' handle to set the trap.
Victor plunger of deathJuly 19, 2013
I have owned a victor trap about 15 years. I live in South Georgia where the soil is sandy. I have had excellent results with these traps. Rarely do I get a tripped trap without a mole! The very few times I have, I simply reset it and generally get him the next night. Probably harvested 30 or more of the little pests all courtesy of the plunger trap. Every other trap and trick I have tried before buying the Victor failed more often than not.

I have used every method known to man to kill moles and when all is said and done the old plunger trap when properly placed, set and kept up with is the most reliable mole killer there is.I suggest covering with a 5 gal. bucket to keep pets and childern safe. They work and I am ordering a new one as mine is getting a little beat up.

I am a first time user. After learning the mole's travel patterns and the use of the device, I can say I had success. In general the device is easy to use once you get used to setting the trigger mechanism. The deficiency in the devices function is that the spikes seem to be a bit low on the device relative to the actuator / trip mechanism. They protrude too far into the ground and intrude into the mole's tunnel when the trap is set. The trip mechanism should be lower and the spikes should be higher.
Don't waste money, useless junk!May 26, 2013
First, congratulations to the other reviewer that rated it a 5. I followed the instructions to the letter. Being a machinest by trade, and a handy man by nature, I am sure it was set correctly. I set it 5 times, got 3 trips, zero catches! WASTE OF MONEY.

Thank you for taking the time to submit an online review. We are sorry to hear that you have not yet seen the desired results with the Victor® Plunger Style Mole Trap (model 0645).
For best results, we recommend that trap be placed directly into the mole tunnel with the tunnel portion beneath the trigger pan partially blocked. This trigger must rest on the blockage and then when the moles begin to clear the tunnel, they will push up on the trigger, thus releasing the trap.
Above all, we want our consumers to be satisfied with their purchase and this trap is covered under a one year warranty. Please do not hesitate to contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-5-VICTOR (1-855-584-2867) for further assistance.
