And why they’re the pest control professionals trap of choice.

Note the firm and sensitive settings on the yellow trip pedal. When firm is selected, the trap will be easier to set but slightly more difficult to trip. On sensitive, the trap will be more difficult to set but slightly easier to trip. For the best accuracy and outcome, we recommend setting the trap somewhere between these two settings. Once a rodent triggers the oversized pedal, the trap immediately snaps closed to kill the mouse on contact. Simply lift the kill bar to dispose of the mouse, and reuse the trap. Or, dispose of the entire trap for quick, clean removal. It’s your decision.
The Victor® Easy Set® Mouse Traps can be used anywhere in the home. Place traps several feet apart along any wall where you’ve seen or suspect rodent activity. Easy Set traps don’t use chemicals or poisons, so they’re ideal for use around children and pets—but please use caution.
The Easy Set® is easy to set and use. Here’s how:
Remove the clip securing the kill bar.
Move the arm bar so it hangs over the back of the trap.
Bait the trap by adding peanut butter or other high-protein food, like chocolate or hazelnut spread on the yellow pedal. This trap doesn’t require bait, but using it will increase success.
Pull back on the kill bar and hold it securely with your thumb.
Move the arm bar over the kill bar and latch the end under the yellow pedal. Please take note to the Firm and Sensitive setting. The trap will be easier to set on the firm side, but not trip as easily. The trap will be more difficult to set on the sensitive side but will trip very easily.
Place the trap with the yellow pedal end flush against the wall where signs of rodent activity exist.
Once the mouse has been trapped, the body can be disposed of by lifting the kill bar, and reset or thrown away.

A dead rat is a happy rat!!! Off to Rat heaven.December 26, 2013
I live in Puerto Rico and rats are a major problem because of all the fruit trees in the area. There is plenty of food for rats to survive. But the BM325 is the best way to kill rats. I have tried the cheap Chinese traps and poison with poor results. With the BM325 if there is a rat in the area he or she is dead. Watch the video you will learn about the settings. Also peanut butter does not work well in PR because the ants eat the PB in a matter of an hour. I use pumpkin seeds with excellence results. Victor USA made traps are the best. Please keep making them here in the USA.
Simple and Effective...January 09, 2011

I put a small amount of peanut butter on the yellow part of the trap, set it, and placed the bait area against the wall and the trap perpendicular to the wall, and the next morning, a mouse! We have two little dogs so placement was critical (they love peanut butter) and I placed them out of reach of them. I guessed the little mouse was hiding in the pantry where our water heater was behind so I set two traps, one on each side of the door exiting to the kitchen. I set one trap by the garbage can and one on top of our kitchen hutch where the doggie treats rest (all had mouse poop signs). Heh heh it's days were numbered (to one!) One point, be aware these traps have two settings, firm and sensitive, sensitive is a monster to handle but to me was worth the extra hassle- just be careful! Good luck.
A Great ProductJanuary 07, 2011
I have been using these professionally since they came out. The secret with trapping is with placement....placement of the bait and placement of the trap. You should only apply a small amount of fresh peanut butter on the trigger so the mice have to engage the trap to get it, and you should always place the traps perpendicular to the wall so that the trigger is against the wall. You can also place and object over the trap similar to a lean to to enhance the effectiveness of the trap. I use these all the time and would recommend them highly to pros and homeowners alike. D. This is a great trap!November 30, 2010
I love these traps. I never have had bait stolen and they work repeatedly.
Great trapNovember 17, 2010
These are the best traps - I've tried other brands and these are definitely the most sensitive. Regarding the question about hints on how to set them - I find it easiest to place it into position and then set it. Otherwise, they are so sensitive that they often trigger when being set down.
There Is NO Better Mouse TrapSeptember 20, 2009
I find it hard to believe that new-fangled high-tech moustrap that costs $4 each works much better than these. And I'm not willing to spend my money to find out. Why would you when these do the job?
Nothing works better!December 20, 2008

Nothing seems to work as well as the old-fashioned snap trap. With the scented plastic cheese alone, or with additional bait (peanut butter) smeared on, the mice can't stay away. The trap is easily set off (a good thing!), and dispatches the mice quickly.
I am completely satisfied!
Victor Better Than TomcatNovember 12, 2008
I recently purchased a couple of Tomcat wooden traps at a local Lowes store (that is all they had) and to my suprise, they did not work. You can set the trap but, they do not spring on the mouse. With their trap, I wasn't able to catch the larger mouse.
I then went looking and ran across some Victor traps in my pantry. I was not surprised that these worked.... the fat mouse died. Thanks!
Setting difficultyJanuary 07, 2009
I am convinced this is the best trap ever except I do not find setting the trap extremely user friendly. Any suggestions? Once the trap is set, no matter how long it takes, and mice just can't seem to wait to get there. No baiting--what a treat. (I do use extra peanut butter occasionally.)
Mice Can Stay Away From This TrapDecember 02, 2008
I have to tell you how wonderful your MO38 Easy Set mouse trap is... In the past week I have rid my house of five mice. Had you asked me a week ago, I would have told you we had just one, but your package of four traps was such an affordable price that I set them all. When the first set of 4 was finished, I bought a second set. I used to save used traps and reuse them, but this new model is too inexpensive for that. And I really like the easy of arming it.
When I first saw the plastic "cheese" bait I thought you had lost your minds, but it really works! You knew that, but I discovered it the hard way. The mice can't seem to stay away from it, and because I'm using only fresh traps, there is no scent to warn them off. A mouse trap is a lowly thing, but when you need one, it has to work. This new pre-baited trap is the best idea I've seen in a long time.
Thank you for such a fine product! May the world beat a path to your door!!
Bring the old style backSeptember 06, 2013
I, too, have had trouble getting these traps to work right. Never had a problem with the old copper triggers but I have not found them at Home Depot. Will try Ace.

What have you guys done with the old reliable snap-traps I've been using for years? This new gizmo with the yellow plastic bait tray is a joke. I have been injured more with your traps than any mouse I've ever caught with one of those things. The idea is stupid and the mechanism doesn't work.:)

Thank you for contacting us! We are sorry to hear you were not satisfied with the Victor® Easy Set® Mouse Traps. Our original Metal Petal Snap Traps (model #M154) are still being manufactured and can be found locally at stores like Ace Hardware, True Value, Lowe’s, and Home Depot (to name a few). They are also available on our website www.victorpest.com and many other online stores like www.amazon.com.
We put 6 of these traps out, and none of them caught a thing. We then baited them with peanut butter, the mice ate the peanut butter right off, but never triggered the trap. Waste of money.

Thank you for the recent online review you submitted for theVictor® Easy Set® Mouse Trap (model # BM032).
We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with our Victor Easy Set Mouse Traps. Victor is known for its long history of providing high-quality products. We regret that you received something that does not meet that standard. We appreciate that you took the time to notify us of the issue you experienced. We want our consumers to be satisfied with their purchase.
A common issue we find with these traps is over baiting. Peanut butter is one of the recommended baits to use with the Easy Set® Mouse Trap. Apply a minimal amount (the amount that can fit at the end of a toothpick) on to the plastic yellow pedal.
Locking Bar placement into the Bait Pedal is another common issue when setting The Easy Set Traps. The cheese pedal is stapled into the base of the trap. You want to be sure that you are engaging the locking bar under the plastic lip of the cheese pedal (just above the staple). If you place the locking bar toward the left side of the plastic lip you will get a more firm setting than if you place it toward the right side.
Again we would like to apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused. Victor backs their products with a 30 day money back guarantee and a 1 year warranty. If you continue to have trouble setting your trap please feels free to contact us at the following:
Individuals in a rodent population search for different types of food. For mice, anything high in protein like peanut butter, chocolate or hazelnut spread is a great option. Also, nesting materials like dental floss, cotton or string are also great options. Try to use whatever bait or nesting material the rodents are currently feeding on or using to build nests.
Do I have to bait the trap?
The Victor® Easy Set® Mouse Trap is pre-baited with a strawberry scent. Additional baiting is not required, but to increase your chances of catching a rodent, feel free to bait the trap. For mice, anything high in protein like peanut butter, chocolate or hazelnut spread is a great option. Also, nesting materials like dental floss, cotton or string are also great options. Try to use whatever bait or nesting material the rodents are currently feeding on or using to build nests.
How do I set the trap and how do I change to and from the firm and sensitive setting?
An instruction sheet and video are available that will give detailed step-by-step instructions on how to bait, set, place and dispose of the Victor® Easy Set® Mouse Trap. The instruction sheet and video also give detailed instruction on how to use the firm and sensitive setting and the difference between the two.
