I just bought three more traps.I bought one several years ago at a feed store that has since become a parking lot. The unit worked GREAT up until it got stepped on. I suggest to the people who are having problems with "escapees" that they make sure that the top closes SECURELY (mice are a lot stronger than you may think), the ramp does not bind on the sides and aligns with the closure and to put just a DAB of Crisco on the pivot points to eliminate any friction and overcome sticky resistance from mouse urine on the ramp. Mice pee CONSTANTLY! I like the idea of peanut butter in a bottle cap. Sounds neater than on a cracker. I drop my LIVE mice off in the upscale end of town so they can have a better life! They are just God's creatures trying to make a living like the rest of us.

I bought this trap after doing some research on-line and reading the reviews. Brought it home in the afternoon, baited it with a mouse-size peanut butter sandwich and trapped my first mouse that same evening. Left the mouse in the TIN CAT overnight until I could drive him to freedom far enough away so he can't find his way back to my house. Cleaned the trap which was very easy to clean, have re-baited and waiting....

The Victor® Tin Cat® Mouse Trap (model M310) is a great choice for being able to safely and effectively catch rodents and release them. Be sure to release the rodent at least 2 miles away from your home, preferably with a natural barrier such as a highway or river to prevent them from returning.
