Easy to use, the trap is simply baited, placed against the wall and turned on. The trap uses advanced smart circuit technology to sense when a rodent enters the units. Once the rodent is inside, the system delivers a humane, high-voltage shock to effectively kill the mouse.
A green light blinks to indicate capture and a red light blinks to indicate low batteries. Rodents can then be dumped directly into the trash for no-touch, no-view mouse control.
The trap features a built-in safety switch that automatically deactivates the trap whenever its door is open. I have to say I'm still impressed with this item, which I purchased over two years ago and is still on its first set of batteries - going strong!
It just got another mouse this morning. I inadvertently broke one of the plastic hinge pins off the cover a couple of months back and our little intruder had figured out how to access the peanut butter and cheese on that side of the device without following the path over the electrodes. So, last night I taped the lid shut and ensured that he had no other access to edibles, then I waited. About an hour later I heard him trying to get into the trap, banging it against the cabinet and trying to chew at the tape. I quietly opened the cabinet door, sized him up and confirmed he couldn't get into the trap, closed it again and went to bed. This morning the green flashing LED confirmed that the trap had successfully accomplished its mission and I quickly disposed of the mouse. Kill number 7 in two years on the job and it is set again for number 8, just waiting silently in the back of my cabinet, armed and ready...
These are very easy to use and extremely effective, humane, safe, and sanitary. I would say that if you have the extra couple bucks, spring for the new PRO model with the third electrode. If I'd had that, I think I'd have been rid of this pest before now.

It has been a month since my first review. I bought two more of these traps, so now I have 5! They have eliminated 14 mice so far. I did have one mouse who actually ate all the peanut butter and turned around in the trap before getting zapped and another who expired right outside the trap. I know he had been zapped because the little yellow light was flashing. My dogs have even given up spending half their day searching the laundry room for these little pests, so I am taking that as a sign that I am winning the battle. I would recommend these to everyone!
