Q.Can this item be used outside???
A.

This product is designed for indoor use only. We do not recommend its use outdoors.

Q.What is an average size rat? When does it become to big?
A.

Our traps are capable of dispatching any average sized rat. For reference, the brown rat (most common) average females weight 250g and males weight 350g. The bodies of these rats (not including tail) are generally 6-8 inches in length.

Q.Is this for outside? Will it kill chipmunks?
A.

No, this is designed for indoor use only.

Q.I placed a small amount of bait at the end, 4 fresh batteries, cleaned the plates and now when I turn it on it just has a steady blinking red light.
A.

When the unit is flashing a red light, it is indicating that the plates have activated for a kill. If there is no rodent inside the trap, it may have falsely triggered due to dirt or debris on the metal plates.

We recommend turning the trap off, removing the batteries, and removing any bait. Then, take a damp cloth and wipe off the metal plates inside the trap. Once the unit has air dried, insert the batteries and turn the trap back on. A red light should flash once to indicate that it is functioning properly.

When baiting it is essential to use a small amount such as one or two pieces of dry dog or cat food at the rear of the trap or a small pea-sized amount of peanut butter scraped on the inside of the back wall.

Q.What does it mean when you put in a new pair is batteries on the ultra, bait it and then turn it on and no green nor red light flashes?
A.

On start up, the light should blink once and then turn off after 2 seconds. This indicates the trap is active. If this is not happening, please call us at 1-855-5-VICTOR (1-855-584-2867).
